My 7 yr. old daughter has created art here a handful of times over the past 2 years they’ve been at Washington Square. Depending on the instructors available and the other kids present, the experience will vary. Luckily we’ve had mostly positive ones and for the recent negative one, Ginhee, the owner has thoughtfully reached out to initiate a resolution. Children with the opportunity to create gain an immense amount of confidence throughout each process. Any teacher, especially in art has a responsibility to protect and help build that confidence of young children. This includes redirecting unpleasant comments. I’m willing to give them another chance if my daughter decides she’d like to create a new masterpiece at Young Art. The collection she’s created so far is a cherished one that she’s very proud of.

Been here twice. They are very helpful about how to do step by step. They go slow to make it easier. Not a horrible experience but my biggest issue with them is they are WAY under staffed at times and too much going on. Which takes away the time that you pay for so a few hours they are letting you sit and wait for the next step to continue for 5 min or so between steps. So a lot of the children are sitting around with their hands raised waiting for their next step too. So take it as you will.

My 4 & ½ year old absolutely LOVED her time with the staff! She came up with some amazing art pieces which I’ll post her pictures as well. When we left she looked at me with a huge smile on her face saying she left her teacher!

Young Art is not just for kids! I’m 42 and have been there several times. The owner, Ginhee, is very friendly and welcoming, as is everyone who works there. And they’re all so wonderful with children. I’ve created a Batman picture and another of Yoda, and with help from the artists working there, they both turned out great! Pricing is reasonable and includes all supplies. I love this place and will be back soon!

I love this place. As does my son. He’s gone twice and each time the employees there have been wonderful and attentive. Even though sometimes there are a lot of kids each kid gets just the right amount of attention to keep themselves busy until the teacher comes back. I cannot wait to go back tomorrow with my little one!

Wonderful idea! You can shop while your kids make art!
It’s like $ 15 for 30 min class and the art teachers are all wonderful! They use all Korean art supplies because they’re the best;). My daughter made some of the best art she’s ever made and had so much fun.
