Mary Ellen has been wonderful. I have her take care of my dad’s cat on a regular basis, to administer the cat’s pill which my elderly dad is unable to do himself. She’s been very accommodating fitting us into her schedule, and I really appreciate how communicative she is. I had a good feeling about her when we first met, and the cat instantly took to her; so it’s worked out wonderfully for us to have her, and it’s a huge relief for me knowing the cat is in capable hands and not missing medications. And she’s been very kind to my dad too– an extra bonus.

Mary Ellen’s services are very top-​notch! Our Golden, Stella absolutely loves her visits to Wag-​Along and we know that our girl is in the best hands possible. We very highly recommend Wag Along!

My dog Timber spent nearly a week with Mary Ellen, and I was very happy with her service. She was quick to respond to get a last-​minute arrangement squared away, and she sent photos and videos throughout my trip. Timber was clearly having a ball playing happily with the other doggies. Mary Ellen’s backyard setup is fully fenced, clean, and free of hazards such that the dogs can run and play and be safe. The paperwork I submitted in advance reassured me that she takes her business and the safety of the dogs very seriously. Her rate for boarding is very reasonable, and I would trust her to watch Timber again. I think he’s already missing play time with his new friends who stayed at Wag Along!

The fine folks at Wag Along Pet Care have been taking care of our pets for close to a year now. We’ve been incredibly happy with the care they’ve provided for our pets.
The pet sitters provide regular check-​ins with us to let us know how the animals are doing. They even send us photos of our pets as a way of saying «hi» and checking in so we know everything is OK back home.
Both of our cats are getting on in years and they each require different medication. The staff at Wag Along Pet Care make sure that our cats get the care they need.
Wag Along Pet Care provides great pet care and has given us serious peace of mind when we leave town. We highly recommend them.

A last minute change of plans had us scrambling to find a place to board our two pugs for the weekend. Mary Ellen came through in a big way! She is professional and courteous, and I knew my dogs were safe and sound. She even texted a few photos of them with updates to say they were doing well. Great pet care!

We found Mary Ellen upon the recommendation of another pet watching service. The woman said Mary Ellen is the only one she trusts her own dogs with. As our regular boarder was unavailable with such short notice (a week!), we were thrilled. Upon meeting Mary Ellen & seeing her set up for boarding, we felt very good about leaving our three big dogs in her care. They can be quite a hand full so it is important that anyone watching them be very capable. Mary Ellen proved to be just that! She sent regular updates with picture messages of our dogs enjoying their time in our absence. She set us at ease that they were in good hands. We are very grateful to have found Mary Ellen and would recommend her to anyone.

When we first met with Mary Ellen and saw her great set-​up for dog boarding, we had total confidence that our senior Australian Shepherd «Jessie» would feel right at home. We were right. Jessie was able to freely roam around the house and the back yard, play with other dogs, and take plenty of her usual naps. She also was taken on daily walks. We really appreciated the text messages and photo updates from Mary Ellen while we were on vacation too. Jessie looked very happy and content and we had no worries at all that she was in great hands. We have now found Jessie’s «home away from home» with Mary Ellen and Wag Along Pet Care!

Mary Ellen is a life saver.
My wife and I are very busy people who love our dogs, but once in a while we just have too much on our plates to give them the attention they deserve.
She comes, they walk, they go, and she goes. I wish I had some heart-​lifting, funny stories to tell about her, but that’s thing… no stories = great job.

Mary Ellen is great to work with! We found her online after we adopted a high needs pittie named Max and she has been walking him for 5 months now. Mary Ellen has been so good for Max! After the ½ hour walks, she always texts me to let me know how the walk went. She is extremely professional and reliable which is really important when our pup needs to go potty and we can’t take him out during the day! He has some socialization issues with other dogs, but that’s no issue for Mary Ellen! She is confident with Max, who could be intimidating, and is in command. She is also flexible if schedules change, which is also really important for our arrangement. But most importantly, I know she loves Max… even though he can misbehave! Can’t say enough good things about Wag Along Pet Care. Highly recommend Mary Ellen!

Mary Ellen is such a great find! She has been walking our two little terrier dogs for a little under a year. She is responsive via phone and email. She is reliable and always shows up when we need her. Best of all, Mary Ellen is communicative — we get updates on how it all went that day, which helps put us at ease.

I first found Mary Ellen from a friend who works in pet-​care. He gave her a strong recommendation. My dog has stayed at Wag-​Along twice now. It’s comforting to know that my dog is in good, loving hands, and not locked up in a kennel all night long. If being in a home-​like setting with personal attention wasn’t enough? She’s competitively priced too.

I was asked twice to reschedule visit. I am very disappointed since it has gotten such good ratings. I was given two excuses for first meet and greet. The last and THIRD excuse was because dog walker ‘over slept?’! I am very disappointed. Not a good way to give first impressions; and as a dog walker/​sitter why would you over sleep?

Mary Ellen is great with my two little dogs – always quick to respond to requests and questions and wonderful with Peanut and Alvin. I highly recommend her!

I came to Portland to work as a travel nurse and needed dog walking services for my Frankie. Originally, I chose another well known PDX dog walking service, but was so disappointed when they kept «forgetting» appointments, it was unacceptable and I let them go. Luckily, my roommate and I who have 4 dogs between us, found Mary Ellen and wish we would have had her all along! Our dogs loved her and I never worried about them in her capable hands and yes she walked them all together and did a great job! Mary Ellen has been wonderfully dependable, flexible with our schedules, available, and she will go the extra mile because that’s just who she is. For example, when I mentioned I would like to try a lead on my dog, she picked one up for me herself from the local pet store so I could try it. She also brought a couple of sweaters for Frankie to try on for the colder weather. I certainly didn’t ask or expect her to do these extra things for me, but it was very much appreciated and I was grateful for her services above and beyond. Frankie runs to her (and past her sometimes to greet other dogs :)) when I take him over for dog sitting. Mary Ellen is conscientious and treats Frankie as her own so I don’t worry about him when I’m at work. I will definitely miss her when I leave and am so grateful she was here for me when I truly needed someone I could trust!

Mary Ellen was wonderful! My dogs and I recently relocated to LA and we miss her so so much! She was great with my dogs, they absolutely loved her! And she gave me peace of mind while I was at work, knowing my little fur babies were being well taken care of.

I have known Mary Ellen for years & when I found out she had started a pet service I could not have been happier. She is a very professional, caring, intelligent & articulate business women. My dog adores his «Mary Ellen» & waits at the door for her. I could not be happier with her services. She is accommodating & remarkably flexible considering how busy she can be at times. My husband is disabled & in a wheelchair, so there are times she will take a moment to assist him when she comes to
Walk. Her smart thinking has keep my trouble seeking jack Russell out of potentially bad situations. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who needs assistance with their precious pets.

Mary Ellen is a total rock star in Florie’s eyes. She goes bonkers when Mary Ellen comes to the door… so much so that I feel a little jealous about how much Florie loves Mary Ellen :)

Our dogs are pretty «special needs» in all kinds of ways. Food allergies, medication, separation anxiety, you name it. Our younger dog does not play well with others, so the ever-​popular group boarding situation doesn’t work out for us when we travel. After all kinds of missteps, we finally found a pet sitter we truly love, but of course we love her for a reason and apparently word got out, so she’s occasionally booked when we need her. She referred us to Wag Along Pet Care for our vacation last week, and we are so glad she did.
Mary Ellen went above and beyond in so many ways. She visited our dogs three times before we even left, and took a few trial walks with my husband just to get prepared. She was great with both dogs and took all kinds of extra steps to make sure they felt great while we were away. She texted us with daily reports, and really gave us peace of mind that our dogs were in great hands.
While we were out of town, I lost my ID (which of course I needed to fly home), and Mary Ellen helped out by looking through our entire messy house for my old school ID. This is obviously not part of her job, and she truly seemed concerned about us and how she could help!

Mary Ellen has been amazing. Sammy, my 13 y/​o mutt really enjoyed staying with her while I was gone for a long weekend. Its so good to have peace of mind about your beloved critters when you are away. I really appreciated getting regular texts and pics during my trip!

Mary Ellen is fabulous! My dog loved her immediately! As a nurse I work long hours and weekends, Mary Ellen comes over and takes care of her when I can’t be there. It is so nice not to have to worry about my dog during the day. If anything I would say that Mary Ellen too nice to her! You know the way a grandma spoils the kids while the parents are away! I’m so glad Peace has someone new to love her!
