Maybe the best thing I’ve done for myself in a long time is try this out. Each new dish instantly becomes my new favorite. I don’t need gluten free or paleo, and I don’t have food allergies to speak of. What I do need are high quality, healthy meals that are quite delicious and convenient. I like to cook well with fresh, local, organic ingredients but it is difficult to do so for just one and get the variety I crave without a lot of planning, clean up and waste. Waste particularly bothers me — that’s money down the drain. Other convenient-​for-​one food seems to consist of too much pasta and bread. So far, Urban Gourmet Delivery gets it right — my dinner is delivered in neat little containers, is inventively tasty, and is totally satisfying. Home made chorizo sweet potato lasagna? OMG, yes! Austin’s loss is Portland’s gain.

I normally don’t enjoy boxed meals that require reheating (except for maybe Thanksgiving leftovers), but I honestly had to make an exception in this case.
I work in software development and often work long hours, so I needed an alternative to constantly ordering take-​out.
So far their meals have been delicious, healthy, and delivered on time, before I have to leave for work on Monday morning. I’ll probably be eating their meals as long as they’re around.

Chef Ryan and his wife Chef Crystal (and the rest of the team of course) are wizards! Great food, great people all in all. Best dessert I’ve tasted, omg, mouthgasm :)

If you’re looking for an ORGANIC, home-​cooked meal delivery service, then look no further, this is by far the best! I’ve been a customer for about a month and absolutely love it. If you find that you’re so busy that you don’t have time to cook, and even going out to a restaurant for takeout can be time-​consuming and expensive, then this is the perfect solution for you.
Urban Gourmet will deliver you a week’s work of Gourmet Chef/​Restaurant Quality, Organic, Paleo, Gluten-​Free meals, which you can easily freeze to eat throughout the week. Every week I am surprised by Ryan’s diverse offerings, he’s like an Über-​Chef who can cook anything! Ryan is also one of the nicest, most positive human beings you will meet, he really loves what he does! Kind of inspirational actually.
You can get a week’s worth of meals for the cost of going out to a nice dinner for two. It’s kind of a no-​brainer.

I had the wonderful opportunity to try Ryan’s paleo/​GF delivery a few weeks ago. The food was high quality, delicious and best of all interesting. And I’m VERY picky about my food. I’d recommend him and the food without a doubt to friends or patients (I’m an ND.) Nom nom nom!

As a health nut with too many food allergies, and a busy working woman, Ive been doing food delivery and convenient food systems for years. Hands down, Urban Gourmet is the best Ive experienced. Every meal was absolutely amazing. I also lost 5 lbs within the first month, which was just an added bonus. Additionally Ryan has been so accommodating to any and all requests. I stopped using Fit to Farm because I didn’t like their gluten free processed substitutions or that they would use diary (which I’m allergic to), and i couldn’t request changes. Ryan is a true chef who wants to please his clients, I saw we support him.
