Upholstery by Pacific Auto Trim

Sometimes I read reviews on Unilocal,good or bad, that are so diametrically at odds with my own experience I’m convinced they occurred in a parallel universe. This is one of those places.
I’ve had the folks here do two jobs for me – one to sew a splitting seam in the driver’s seat of my truck, the other to build up a seat on a motocross bike I had purchased used that was way too low for me.
The truck seat has held up under constant abuse from me (they removed the entire cover, sewed it and put it back on), the motorcycle seat they built up perfectly and made a custom cover for that looks and feels killer. They were even able to slightly-​soften the cushion on the bike. Both jobs were done exactly on time, and within the budget they quoted and in the case of the seat, the cost was less than buying a new cushion and cover and doing it myself.
They had no problem accepting my card, and I found them both warm and professional to deal with. I’d use them again without thinking about it.

They did an okay job on my car, but when I went pay, they said their credit card machine wasn’t working and that I need to give them cash. WTF! The owner is a piece of Sh*t, and was trying to pull a fast one, because he didn’t want to pay the credit card fee. Stay away from this place, the owners have no education on how to run a business.

As an ex employee knowing the owners Todd and Dana they are both a couple thieving lying tweekers. The work you get will cost you more than they say and you will be lucky to get the work they promise. There are plenty of upholstery shops in the Portland area and I would recommend you use one before trusting your project to pacific auto trim!

This is the response from the owner, Todd Hill of Pacific Auto Rim when I asked why my top was still in the box and the rework was behind schedule. This was a rework because on the first round, they put on an aftermarket top and screwed up in every possible way. That is the kind of service you WILL get if you ever venture here: completely unprofessional, shady and over the top uncivilized people — ever!

The horror story started when I wrecked my car. I use Kadels to get the door and the convertible top fixed on my BMW due to a small tare in the top. Kadels uses Pacific Auto Trim for the upholstery part of the repair. Pacific Auto Trim is the WORST business establishment I’ve ever encountered.
First they put on a cheap aftermarket top and pocketed the difference. They were a week late in the delivery. Then the top would not descend completely into the trunk compartment, and the trunk failed to close. I called Pacific and spoke to Dana Hill, who was extremely rude and blamed me for the mess.
A couple weeks of back and forth between Kadels, Pacific, and my insurance company, Kadels ordered a new top and asked me to drop off my car at Pacific to get it installed, which I did. I was told that it would take 3 – 4 days for the work. On the fifth day, I came by Pacific to check on the status, expecting it to be wrapped up. To my surprise, my car was parked to one side; the new top was still in its shipping package. When I inquired with Todd Hill, the owner, he showered me with the F bombs. I contacted my insurance company and had my car picked up from Pacific, they refused to hand over the key. Finally Kadels got my car back to its shop and fired Pacific.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from Pacific Auto Trim, as well as Todd and Dana Hill.
