Really great food, served hot to order, tasty! Uncle Tsang is great, he always remembers us and brings us our food. Have tried several Chinese restaurants and carts since we moved here, and this is definitely one of the best we’ve come across.(ps the Dan Dan noodles are highly recommended)

This is the best Chinese place I have been to. The curry pineapple shrimp fried rice is fried to perfection. The veggie egg roles are filled with fresh cabbage and carrots. The sauce that comes with is heaven. They cook everything fresh and it’s all delicious! Portions are legit. The Kung pow chicken and shrimp is so spicy and good. I love you uncle tsang!

Finally a decent Chinese food place. I’m Chinese and from San Francisco and this place is great. The salty fish fried rice is the best I’ve had even from SF!

This food cart is charming, and the couple who cook are equally as charming and wonderful. I very much wanted to be able to give this place 5 stars, but one of the dishes we ordered, vegetarian noodles, was a dud. Overcooked, underflavored, not much tofu or vegetables. Just a big box of soft noodles. The string beans and homestyle tofu, however, are on par with the best Chinese food in Portland(which isn’t saying all that much)!

This food stand is hands down the best Chinese food I have had. It’s made to order, the veggies were fresh, lots of vegan options and such a sweet couple who runs it! Absolutely make your way to pick up your meal here next time you are craving Chinese.

This couple is adorable and super friendly. They offer a selection of tasty veggie dishes. I ordered the broccoli garlic sauce with fried tofu and I’m loving it! Well definitely be back.

Uncle Tsang’s has awesome vegan, gf, vegan and gf, or meatalicious tasties. Try something new here. It is all awesome. I’m a sucker for the home style tofu but the szechuan of all varieties is equally delicious. Mr. Tsang is extremely polite to my partner and I and greets us kindly every time. We don’t live near but we keep coming back because we love the food and the Tsang family. Plus you get hella soup for cheap!

Uncle Tsang’s is the best chinese food cart in Portland hands down! The food is high quality and fresh. You can tell that he invests the money he makes more in the food than the esthetic of the food cart itself. They take cards, and always greet with a friendly smile. Give it a try! The fried rice with bacon and hot oil is BOMB. I also recommend the Ma Po Tofu. I love everything Ive tried here. may have to head over there right now! :)

Super nice people, super tasty food, quality ingredients, AND they are open during the sleet storm that has the rest of the street closed down. LOVE this place.

We tried Uncle Tsang’s Kitchen for the first time tonight, and we WILL be going back. The ingredients are fresh, meals are made to order, and the owner was kind, helpful, and very friendly. Amazing service. Amazing food. I hope this place is around for a long time to come!

Been wanting to try this place for a while, it’s GREAT! He’s super friendly, uses fresh ingredients, has a bunch of gluten free options, makes everything to order, very good sized portions. Tried the Szechuan chicken and broccoli & chicken, both were delicious! Going back often!

Wow, SO happy to have moved in down the street from Uncle Tsang’s. I am half Chinese and am happy to report that this place satisfies. I was a little skeptical at first because some of the Unilocal reviews made it seem like an American-Chinese type place(such places are often terrible). Yeah, they serve General Tso’s chicken, but their food is fresh, hot, and delicious. Perfectly seasoned to satisfy! Appetizers are cheap and generous. We enjoyed their salt and pepper shrimp, perfectly crispy. We gushed over the fried eggplant(only $ 4!). Oh my gosh, my husband and I LOVE their soups. I have eaten a LOT of egg drop soup and theirs is easily one of the best. The hot and sour soup is also great. Oh, I have to mention their potstickers. They are ENORMOUS and cooked to perfection. Seriously, biggest potstickers ever. I like the chicken ones. They serve them with chili oil and a perfect dipping sauce. The chow mein is tasty, as well as the Dandan noodles. I can’t wait to try the fried rice! You can eat like a king here with very little money. The entrees are big enough to split. The people running the truck are so very friendly and kind. It’s a pleasure to see them, and a delight to enjoy their food!

Can’t remember the names of the two dishes I tried but there was a noodle with meat sauce and another chicken and mushroom dish. They were mediocre tasting and far from authentic. Their portions were huge so our two dishes could have served at least 3 people but large quantity wasn’t what I was looking for.

Uncle Tsangs is the best Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life and I e been to China twice. He’s a funny guy, doesn’t speak much English, just the way I like my Chinese chef to be. I couldn’t recommend this place an more than I already do. It’s a pdx must have!

Absolutely amazing food! It’s hard in this city to find good, old fashioned American-Chinese food and this spot does it right. The vegetables and meats are as fresh as it gets and their sauces are original and on point! It takes a bit longer than normal to get your food but that’s because everything is being prepared to order. The prices seem to average anywhere from $ 5-$ 12 depending on the dish but the portions are decent and the flavor is out of this world.

We stopped here spontaneously the other night while walking by the food carts. We ordered a number of vegan items including a shiitake vegetable soup, vegetable chow mein, szechuan tofu and veggies, and garlic broccoli. A young woman took our order… perhaps the chef’s daughter? She was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was organized and handled the order, payment, and packaging up the order like a professional. I’m a sucker for friendly service and both the chef and«staff» were very courteous and kind. Besides that, the food was fresh, delicious and priced right. I appreciated that I didn’t feel over salted or greasy after eating which can often happen with take-out. When you go, anticipate a wait-time, especially if there are orders ahead of you. We couldn’t believe how relatively fast this cart was when we thought about the orders before us and all the different dishes being prepared. I will definitely support this cart again in the future and I hope you do, too.

Although this is a food cart, you will expect restaurant quality because it has good meat and vegetables. Each dish is made to order and does take a little bit longer then typical food carts because the cook actually chops up fresh meat and veggies. Beef slices are tender and lean. It is not the type of meat that you would typically find at Chinese restaurant where the texture is tenderized with baking soda or the kind that makes you think what kind of meat you are eating. The veggies are fresh and sweet. The prices here are similar or a big higher than most Chinese restaurants and certainly more than a typical food carts(don’t expect any $ 5 entrée). But I’m willing to pay for the quality. The location has seating and a small pavilion that you can catch some musicians if you are lucky. The owner is very friendly. If he likes you, then he might throw in some free appetizers and dessert.

I have been longing for take-out Chinese food this good for years! Seriously, this little cart serves up it up fresh, delicious, fast and affordable. The BEST potstickers in PDX! I also highly recommend the fried chicken gizzards. The proprietors are the nicest, friendliest folks, too. Vegetarian options, too! They will make just about any special dish your heart desires. Just ask!
