Went in today for a cut and color which is to say, i went in with a train wreck that needed to be fixed due to previous bad luck at a different salon. Had the great pleasure of having Neal as my stylist… aka blessed by god miracle worker… and he was fantastic. I had no idea how to achieve the look i wanted, and he figured it out. If you want an amazing stylist… here ya go. You won’t regret it!

I moved to Portland about a year ago and have been looking for a good stylist since with no luck whatsoever! Fortunately, I called Tint and they fit me in for a cut and color the next day with Neal. I wanted an ombré that looked pretty natural (as natural as they can look) and Neal did a fantastic job! The blending between the blonde and brown is perfect and I have received so many compliments. The salon is also very cute, in a really nice house, and all the other clients in there appeared to be regulars (with fantastic hair) so it really seems like a solid business. I highly recommend Tint!

Tint is a charming salon in the Hollywood District. This is where the amazing colorists will give your drab hair the va va boom it needs.
Parking is on the street so get there a bit early.
I have been to two of the stylists, Melissa and Chelsea, and I feel they are both at the top of their game in the hair world. They enjoy their work, take the time to listen and ask the right questions to make sure your hair do and color is fabulous.
Tint also offers massage and they also have a esthetician/​make up artist on staff. There is a large selection of products to choose from to keep your locks fresh.
So if you’re interested in a new look or just want to refresh your existing look you may want to give Tint a try.

I go to Tint for my skin and see their amazing asnetician Hiedi Andrus. I have been seeing her for a long while now. She waxes eyebrows like nobody’s business and everything else for that matter. She gives the best facials! I have sensitive skin and she takes good care of it. I always feel like I got to do something special for myself after I see Heidi.

I have been seeing Denny for 10 years or more. He does an amazing job with my hair. I always get compliments on it even when I am close to being due for a cut and color. He is up to date and styles and trends. Anyone I have every referred him to has loved their cut and/​or color.

Tanya saved my hair.
After a serious of escalating at-​home hair mishaps where I dyed my hair a really dull, ugly brown to BLACK BLACK to orange at the roots and black everywhere else (damaging it more and more each time), I finally bit the bullet and called the salon.
Tanya had a cancellation and got me in that day — but we only had a two hour window to fix the situation — and to be honest I was afraid we were just going to have to chop it all off.
But I left the salon two hours later with really beautiful, long, caramelly-​brown hair.
All I can say is, thank God for Tanya.

I went to Tint because I wanted to get my hair colored and styled and to get my makeup done for my graduation that evening. Chelsea colored and styled my hair and Heidi did my makeup — THEY WERE BOTH AMAZING! I received SOOO many compliments on both my hair and makeup! One student turned around during the ceremony just to tell me that she LOVED my makeup!
The last time I had my hair colored at another salon, I hated it and told myself I wouldn’t waste my money on something like that again. However, since this was a special event, I figured I’d try it again. After Chelsea was done with my hair, I decided I will only trust her with my hair!
I was also amazed at their prices! Very affordable for the AMAZING job that they do :)

Beware Denny. OMG he was a nightmare — changed my blond tint to muddy ash color. My cool geometric cut mangled to a Dutchboy all the while making remarks on how stupid women are. My experience could not have been worse.

I LOVE Tint! I see Denny and he is amazing! Great natural looking coloring (I’m a blonde) and one of my favorite hair cuts ever. I am new to the area so I was so happy to find a salon that isn’t too pricey and does an amazing job.

I have baby fine hair & pretty much no skill in the styling department. Tanya is patient with me & helps me find a cut & color I can handle without being pushy or snobby.
Funny story, but when I was interested in a new stylist, I used the advice of looking around to see who’s hair looked great & asking where they go. There’s a woman at my gym who has gorgeous hair & I finally worked up the nerve to bug her about who she saw… obviously, Tanya at TINT!
Tanya is amazing with color & is able to make it look like your color is supposed to be there… not that obvious ‘I color my hair!’ effect you see on some women. She has even told me to wait until the next appointment to color instead of taking advantage of the fact I don’t know what I’m doing =). If you want someone you can trust that is fun & knowledgeable, definitely give her a call!

Chelsea Gomes has been my stylist for over 7 years. I look forward to my appointment every 7 weeks with Chelsea. I always get compliments on my cut and color and have referred many friends and acquaintances to her. She is super sweet and cares so much about her clients satisfaction. When I booked a facial with Inga I thought I knew what to expect as I have gotten a couple of facials before. What Inga bestowed was so much more than your standard skin care experience.
Inga’s room is an oasis. Everything has been considered. Soft music and candles combine with perfectly appointed décor to create a relaxing, welcoming and stress draining environment with which she uses to transform your skin into a better version of itself.
Comfortably nestled under a blanket, Inga started with a thorough cleaning of my skin, followed by an wonderful progression of treatments. She was professional and intuitive. Behind closed eyes, I have no idea what she what doing (even though when I asked later she told me all the magical things she did.) All I know is when I was worried that it was almost over, I heard the beautiful words, «We are about halfway done.»
Not only was the experience itself tremendous, the affects are lasting. Days and even weeks later people commented on how rested I looked. 41 years old and carded more regularly than I was ten years ago. Am I going back to see Inga again? You’d better believe it!

I just returned from a trip to see Inga for a facial. It never fails to amaze me what a relaxing, inviting environment Tint has created in this great, old house. From the moment I open the front door to the walk upstairs to Inga’s little slice of heavenly real estate, it is a GOOD experience.
Inga has a knack to make me feel completely relaxed while she is engaging me in conversation. My eyes are covered with cotton, but the smells are recognizable. Lavendar, rosemary, fruits… my skin starts singing! I cannot name my favorite park. The peel? The massage? The steam? The creamy potions? I know my least favorite part is LEAVING.
I was always intimdated by facials… I cannot tell you why. It intrigued me, but I was nervous.
I have been going to Inga for 3 – 4 years and it’s one of my favorite appointments to write in my book. I was a masage girl for years, but now I would choose a facial over a massage. I leave relaxed wth radiant skin. And it LASTS. I look hydrated & sparkly for a week if not longer.
I highly recommend Inga’s at Tint. They provide many services… many I have not yet taken advantage of, but intend to do so soon.

Danielle McGinty does amazing wedding hair! Inga Olson does spectacular makeup! I HIGHLY recommend both Dani and Inga to all brides and their bridal parties.
I met with Dani and Inga four days before my wedding to consult and practice my wedding hair style and makeup. Both patiently listened to the style I wanted, worked to accomplish the look I desired, and ensured that I was completely happy with my wedding hair and makeup before my big day.
The morning of my wedding I came to Dani and Inga with three of my bridesmaids. Both worked on each of us to ensure our hair was trendy, sleek, and fashionable, and our makeup was immaculate — without being over done.
Dani and Inga made all of us feel special and «heard» when describing the different style we wanted, and transformed all of us for the wedding. I got my hair cut at Tint today and it was my first time in. Danielle McGinty was pretty much a ROCKSTAR and did a perfect job. I had some free coffee and she washed my hair after with a coconut concoction and I felt like I was being massaged while sitting on a tropical beach. I WILL be back again and again.

I’ve had my hair done a few times now by Chelsea Gomes at Tint Salon, and she does an amazing job! I like to have natural looking highlights added, especially during our dark winters when I start to lose my real summer highlights. I talked to Chelsea about what I wanted – which was definitely not a cheap looking dye job that looked fake. I am pretty scared when it comes to adding color to my hair, and we’ve all seen those people who have gotten a botched color job, eeek! She really listened to me, and made me feel confident. Chelsea knew exactly how to blend in my new highlights with my real ones and the hair color looked amazing and natural. I think Chelsea is one of the best Portland hair colorists in town. She also gave me some tips on a better haircut, and added volume to my long hair with some carefully placed layering around my face. I got tons of compliments.
She is an experienced stylist who really listens to her clients, and she is super nice and easy to talk to. Also, she is really efficient, and I didn’t feel like I had to spend half my day in there, which is nice because I am always too busy to go have my hair done.
Anyway, I kept meaning to write her a nice Unilocal review to say «thanks» for my awesome hair, so I finally got around to doing it. Thanks, Chelsea! :-)

I have been going to Denny at Tint for 5+ years now. He is an expert and will make your hair look gorgeous. And usually, if he’s in a chatty mood you can get some good gossip out of him while he’s styling you!;-)
The bungalow remodeled for the salon is super charming, the hair products at Tint are top of the line and their color work is amazing. Several of my girlfriends also see Denny as well.
The only drawback is that it can be tough to get in on short notice. So if you need a treatment in less than 2 weeks, you are usually out of luck unless you can go at an off-​peak time. Denny is usually booked at least 3 – 4 weeks out, sometimes longer.
If you want to go to a solid colorist who you know will do a fabulous job, no question Denny is it.
