Thor is just another elegant sculpture in Downtown Portland. You can walk around it. There are little holes on each side and the top has an edge which seal the deal for it potentially looking like a divine weapon. I walked up to it on the street when I was going to Pioneer Square. The design is not all that complicated, but it looks polished and wondrous. The supposedly divine attribution to an ancient myth is enough to improve upon it. There are lots of buses that I sometimes get which are near Thor. Thor is worth a peak.

You know how sometimes you are walking downtown and a piece of public art just grabs you? No? Well this one probably won’t either but it is a nice piece but I think it would do better in a park setting rather then a Transit mall, so the green patina of the copper could accent the plants… but maybe that is just me.
