Great food! I enjoy the ‘one night in Bangkok’ burger. This is one of the best carts in the pod.

Amazing combinations and any burger can be made gluten free. Options to have burger on organic greens or breakfast burrito on corn tortillas. Tater tots are delicious and they have sweet potato tots too!

Sometimes a good burger hits it. There are many burgers in Portland but few in food carts. This food cart burger is among Portland best burgers. I would suggest the truffle mushroom flavored assaggio burger, their«Momentary Indiscretion.» It’s on a brioche bun with caramelized onions. Nice fat burger. I have also had the tater tots with the same assaggio truffle drizzle. It’s their update on cheese fries. The blue cheese, candied bacon, grilled onion burger, the«Unexpected Perfection,» is excellent as well. Doghouse has amusing names for their dishes. Most of the dishes are available gluten free if you are sensitive to that. Good quality ingredients that taste good from a food cart, good!

I’m not eating here at this very moment, but I wish I were. I’m not going to lie, sometimes I find myself daydreaming about the Doghouse — and about their breakfast burritos. To start, the Doghouse’s name doesn’t really do it justice, because there’s so much to choose from here, and because I don’t think they sell hot dogs(although a nearby cart does). There are so many burgers I’ve never tried(also available as sliders). There are so many tater tot bowls I’ve never tasted. That’s because every time I go I end up ordering a breakfast burrito. Usually I get the Match Made in Heaven, with cheddar cheese, bacon, avocado and sauce. One time I ordered the Love Actually — it was a monster burrito, about the size of a tiny child, but filled with bacon, sausage, grilled vegetables, cheese, and more — it was delicious too. But the Match keeps calling me back. I hope I can someday bring myself to try the others — all of which come with french fries inside, by the way. Only complaint is that one time my eggs were overcooked. And I wish they were open earlier than 11 a.m. so I could eat breakfast burritos more often.

Fantastic tots! We had the Naughty tots, and we both agreed, best smothered tots we’ve ever had! Cannot wait to go back and try a different kind! The staff was friendly, and the food was fast!

Came here for lunch, without purpose. The chick working the window was very sweet and helpful, I ended up with some burgers full of onions and jalapeños and pepper jack. Also tots. For the love of God, get the tots. And the kicker sauce. Well seasoned in a disgustingly greasy bag, crispy and hot. Very hot. With lots of napkins. Sauce is jalapeño juicy fry sauce. Just get it. It’s $.50, what are you worried about? Very solid burger, well cooked patty, good flavor. Plenty of goodness on top but not so much that my burger looked like a drunk sorority girl. Honestly, the combo was far more food than I can eat, even at a quarter pound patty. So tomorrow(or tonight when I get home from wine tasting) I have half a burger and half a bag of tots to scarf. I want to try the hangover worthy tot bowl with an egg next. I’ll def be back. If for nothing else, solid tots and great service.

This burger, considering the different ingredients and how amazing they made it sound, is frankly– just not very good. I ordered a pineapple, pepper jack cheese, and aioli burger– unfortunately it came out over cooked and with dripping cheese fried to a crisp all around the burger. I’d honestly rather eat little big burger. Skip it.

I’m fairly certain that the«1 night in Bangkok» is the best burger I’ve ever had. It has peanut butter. And bacon. And Thai chilies. Wtf? But it’s SO f&@king good… kill me; kill me now.

Wanted something different so I used Delivery Dudes and within 30 minutes I was chowing down on some fantastic grub. I ordered the Brunch«burger,» no cheese, and had it served on top of salad instead of the bun. I added extra avocado, and mushrooms. It was delicious, could only finish about a third of it. Other reviews suggested the burger patties weren’t juicy, but mine definitely was! There’s a hint of a smoky flavor that really made the patty. The only thing I felt was missing were tomatoes(they aren’t an option but I wish they were!). I also ordered the sweet potato tater tots. Hands down best ones I’ve ever had. They really were the star of the meal. Their ranch(dipping sauce for tots) was a splurge for me as I don’t usually consume dairy. I’m glad I ordered it though. Tastes homemade, with extra dill, equals extra delicious. I am sold and will definitely be ordering their food again!

The Doghouse is a great burger foodcart with a small menu of well-designed burgers. Most recently, I got the«Momentary Indiscretion,» which features asiago cheese, grilled mushrooms and onions, chanterelle salt, and garlic-truffle aioli. While mushrooms aren’t always my thing, I was blown away by this one. What a great combination! I can also vouch for the«Brunch,» which is a gargantuan creation featuring bacon, cheddar, avocado, grilled onions, a fried egg, and garlic-truffle aioli. So many of my favorite things in one place! The«Unexpected Perfection» is quite nice, as well, and has candied bacon, grilled onions, bleu cheese, and homemade mustard. Each Doghouse burger is easily a meal in itself, and is priced accordingly. They do offer fries and tots, if you want them(including specialty tots), but I think it’d be pretty difficult to finish such an order on top of their massive burgers. Each of these creations features deliciously-cooked ingredients, and comes hot off the grill, atop a perfect bun(I think it’s a brioche bun?). I might want to ask for mine a little less done next time, as I wished it was just a bit juicier, but then again, since they use some bacon in their mix to form the patties, that may not fly. The wait is a little bit long sometimes, but it’s a popular cart, and the cook knows not to rush things. He’s good at predicting how long the wait will be, so trust his judgment. Don’t worry, he won’t forget about you. The Doghouse makes exciting burgers for much cheaper than someplace like Dick’s Kitchen does, and puts far more care into their creation, too. They make some of the most creative, filling, and delicious meals at the SE Division/28th Avenue foodcarts. That’s definitely a winning combination in my book.

Now, I can only speak to those tots because that is all I had but I have much to say about them. Truffle treasure. Get it. Truffle oil, chanterelle salt, and a garlic truffle aioli(and asiago cheese but I omitted the cheese on account of my lacto-intolerance). These will blow your mind and I can only imagine what it would do to your mind if you added some cheese on top mmmm. DOIT. My friend got a burger and loved it, local New Cascadia GF bun option if that matters to you.

Off the chain!!! Amazing Burgers !!! Amazing Tots!!! Great location!!! They are located in one of the best food cart locations! They have tuns of seating with a bomb fire and a beer garden. The breakfast burger is off the chain! Its loaded with egg avocado cheese and of coarse a big beef patty. The servers are all awesome. They recommended that we try the truffle tots witch are Amazing. Everything from this food cart is loaded with flavor ! They are hands down the best food cart in this location !

Got a burrito from here before. I believe it was the«Love Actually.» We were really stoked since it looked so good, but when we opened it up we found a hair. After telling the guy working up front, he denied the existence of such hair and said he couldn’t see it. After showing him the hair, he simply picked it off and said it wasn’t a big deal. He then kept insisting on us eating the burrito that had the hair in it, whilst constantly giving us attitude. He eventually made us a new burrito, but we honestly aren’t even sure if he really did considering how rude and unwilling he was to do it. Very poor customer service, and the burrito wasn’t even good. Do not recommend.

One of the best burgers I had. I had the Seoul searching burger which had grilled mushrooms, onions, avocados, with gochujang and I added bacon. The burger was really moist. The hotness was on point and it really made my eyes watery because it was so good and hot. Just the right amount of spice. The bread was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. It wasn’t a sloppy sandwich and was really just perfect. Highly recommended! They had a bunch of other things on their menu. I shall be back! See photos!

Checked out this place today after walking around and looking at all the other carts in this pod. I ordered the Rip City Romance with veggie burger and my boyfriend ordered the Unexpected Perfection with a normal beef patty. Our food came out pretty fast in relation to how busy the carts were… however I took one bite into my burger and spit it out immediately as it had a regular patty and not veggie as ordered. No big deal, mistakes happen! Boyfriend took it back and was greeted with somewhat of an attitude, however burger was remade and when it came back out same person was much nicer and apologetic. Let’s get onto the burgers shall we? Both boyfriend and I agree… not a lot of flavor on either burger. I didn’t pick up the jalapeño or sauce at all on mine outside of the mild heat. Boyfriend said he only tasted bleu cheese and bacon on first bite and then after that it was all mustard. Fries were very good though! Overall, wish we would’ve chosen different cart. Food was ok, but for the price I wouldn’t come back as the flavor just was not there.

Just looking at the array of specialty burgers I was instantly smitten. I tried both the 1 night in Bangkok(by way of stolen bites) and Brunch burger. The brunch burger was sizeable and the egg cooked to perfection. The 1 Night in Bangkok though… weirdly delicious. A burger with peanut butter? Surpisingly tasty! Next time I go I hope to try their tot bowls because every person I saw munching on them were happy customers. Will definitely come back. Good job Timber’s!

I have to say, I was really disappointed with my first burger from this place. I’m on a pretty clean eating kick, and Friday night was my cheat meal. I’ve read reviews and seen the food quite a few times, so I was super excited to give this a go. Unfortunately it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. The burger is just too salty, and the bread was just blah, looks like a Franz bun maybe(nothing wrong with that, but for an $ 11 dollar burger, I expected a bit better bun to go with my burger). I’m giving it three stars cause the tots were pretty crispy and tasty.

As I stated in my previous review, I came back to give the tator tots a shot. I initially came to get both the 1 Night in Bangkok burger as well as some tots, but after my first unsatisfying experience with their burgers, I decided to only get the tots and get a wrap from Viking Soul Food. The lady noticed me from my prior review, so I’m glad to know they pay attention. Shows that they care. I gave the Naughty in Nogales a shot, and boy was I surprised. These tots came loaded and were excellent. Definitely changed my perspective of this place. The pineapple was a perfect kick to these tots, bacon and kicker sauce made it great, and it kept a great composure of slightly sweet and salty. These tots were satisfying and my co-worker after seeing mine ordered the same item for himself. Probably the best«loaded tots» or «nacho tots» I’ve had. I left more full from these tots than I did from the burger. This just goes to show that don’t knock a place after trying something once. I still hold true to my first review as I felt that I have had much better burgers, but if the burgers don’t satisfy my taste buds, there may be something else that will. I may be open to giving their burgers another shot now and regardless their tater tot platters are hands down delicious.
