If I could give less than 1 star I would. Seriously why all the good reviews? Don’t you guys realize it’s baby food… I mean really wtf is wrong with people. This place sucks. I tried it out of curiosity. I can’t believe I paid $ 12 for a small bowl of baby food and a crappy smoothy. What suckers Portlanders are!!!

Being from Hawaii, I am spoiled by the deliciousness that is the acai bowl. As I move farther east, it has become increasingly harder to find people who actually know what an acai bowl is, let alone a good acai bowl in itself. Shaina and the others at The Bowl and Berry have mastered the art of making an acai bowl, but here’s the kicker: she’s done it in Portland, OR. I had the acai berry bowl and it was amazing. The honey they top it with was phenomenal, and the bowl itself was just as good(if not better) than the many bowls that are made back home. At Bowl and Berry, they put a twist on their Berry bowls, making it more local and all about the PNW by using berries that are found in the PNW region. I now live on the east coast, but whenever I visit Portland, I know where to stop to get my acai bowl: The Bowl and Berry!

This place is ! Even my husband liked the berry bowls(if you knew my husband he is not big on healthy food… I didn’t think he was gonna order anything but much to my surprise he did!). I had the Northwest Fusion and my husband had the Strawberry Shore Break. First words that came out of my husband’s mouth after taking a bite…“Mmm…this is really good!” If husband approves of a «healthy food place» then you know it’s good! Side note… the girl who took our order was kinda grouchy but I won’t let that affect the rating I gave this place! Also, I could totally make these bowls myself but it is definitely a convenience thing for me.

So delicious and refreshing. And substantial – never thought a smoothie and granola would fill me up for lunch, but it does and makes me feel good about what I’m eating too.

This place is aight. I mean I won’t turn down a good fruit and vegetable concoction, and I love berries/acai bowls. But I came here for the first time yesterday and ordered the Wholly Green smoothie(kale, spinach, apple, banana, honey). I took a giant gulp and was overpowered by a lot of greens flavor with a hint of an old banana. Not exactly pleasant for a first sip, but then I kept drinking it and it tasted better. The apple flavor became more pronounced and the drink sweetened a little. I don’t think I ordered the best thing on the menu so perhaps next time I’ll go for the mango smoothie.

Let me begin this review by disclosing that I used to work at Jamba Juice. I’m very familiar with the smoothie and juice industry and I can confidently say that I would choose The Bowl & Berry any day. I went on a Saturday morning and there was surprisingly no line. The staff were very helpful with recommendations and navigating the menu. I ordered the Deluxe Bowl with Gooseberry and the Wholly Green Smoothie. I love that they allow customization and how all the products are fresh and blended right in front of you. My favorite part was the addition of the honey hemp granola and raw honey to the Deluxe bowl! They added great texture and really enhanced the fruity flavors. The Bowl & Berry has a great atmosphere and really makes eating healthy a joy, which is a huge accomplishment in my eyes! I can’t wait to go back and try more of their products!

I love their honey hemp granola! I’ve tried smoothies and bowls and they are all a healthy option that still tastes like a treat. My hub and kiddos love it too. Yum-o!

Delicious and healthy, but too expensive. I got a deluxe gooseberry bowl, which makes for a great dessert or snack, but not enough for a meal, and for the price, I don’t expect to go here again.

Words can’t describe my excitement about this place and the fact that its so close to my house. I might move in to eat it every day. I’ve had these types of bowls before, but the one I tried here today was the best. The flavor and ratio of crunchy to smooth textures was perfect. And so many options! The girls working the place were super sweet and friendly too. I can’t wait to go back.

Instead of going to Starbucks for another caffeinated latte, I thought to swing by this new joint and tried wholly green smoothie and I just loved it. Highly recommended.

The bowl and berry isn’t your average spot, the fruits ice cold but the taste is hot. They’ve got all types of bowls with all types of flavors, it’s so darn delicious you can’t help but savor. Bowl and berry I sure love you, and this is why I grant you with 5 star reviews

Everything here is delicious! All the girls that work at the store are always very sweet and the atmosphere is great. :) The deluxe berry bowl has got to be my favorite thing here, but I love grabbing a smoothie or a juice real quick when I’m not very hungry! I would definitely recommend this place to all of my friends.

So lets unpack this a little bit. Preparation and Presentation! I had a small PB Crunch berry bowl. Took a couple minutes to prepare and then one of the staff brought me my bowl. Presentation was beautiful. I mean I suppose it was fruit and fruit can definitely look good one it’s own. One might say that the presentation was… naturally beautiful? Oh ho ho ho! Ingredients? Then Taste! Hear me out! The PB Crunch is composed of circular banana slices, in tripped dominoes fashion, laid atop a medley of blended berries and nuts(for the crunch in PB crunch?), with sliced almonds and strawberries to garnish. If there was something else in it, then I missed it. Kidding, just remembered there was honey on top! For reals though, I probably missed something, there was lots in it. This was surprisingly good. Texture was like a thicker smoothie and the flavor was refreshing and tasty. I don’t eat a whole lot of things that are good for me, but this is a place I’ll be returning to. Probably for breakfast ^_^)b Aftermath! No food coma. The small is the perfect size for me. My only regret is the location! =(I live in Oregon City. Open another plox.

I really like this new little addition to my neighborhood. I was excited to try it but didn’t know exactly what to expect. We walked in and had a sort of blank stare just looking up at the menu. I knew that I wanted one of their signature berry bowls, but I honestly thought it was a bowl of sliced berries. Don’t make the same mistake as me, a berry bowl is a mix of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, marionberries, and boysenberries blended into a thick smoothie and then topped with other fruits, granola, and honey. This trip, I chose the classic and added acai berries. My kids each chose a different specialty bowl(they come with different«smoothie» blends). My daughter chose a mango bowl and my son picked the PB crunch bowl. They also sell juices, floats, and smoothies. Right now, the only milk they offer is hemp milk. My only suggestion would be to maybe also offer coconut milk, almond milk, maybe even soy. I think those options would go over better in this neighborhood. The juices are a little bit spendier than what I like to pay, but the fruits are fresh and the bowls are delicious. With this place being walking distance from my house, I expect we’ll be spending a small fortune getting these refreshing treats this summer!

Bowl & Berry is a cute little breakfast/snack/dessert shop(however you like to eat it) tucked away in Bethany Village. I stopped in for a bowl on my way to work this morning. Upon arrival I was greeted immediately. I stood there with a blank face for a few minutes trying to decide what I wanted. I was a little confused because the only acaî bowl I’ve ever had contained yogurt in the blend, and there was no yogurt in sight on this menu board. Okay, no biggie let’s try something new! I scoured the menu and hit another obstacle, every bowl they offer contains banana! Ugh, I dread eating ripe bananas or worse having them in something and overpowering all flavors. I asked if I could substitute pineapple for bananas, and she said it was no prob, score! I settled on the small Deluxe bowl with acaî berries, substitute pineapple for bananas. I watched her quickly get to work mixing my fresh berries in a blender and layering my to-go bowl with granola and honey. She put the berry mixture on top of the granola layer, then put another layer of granola and honey on top, YUMMO! In the midst of putting my pineapple on top of the granola, it’s clear from the description of the«deluxe bowl» that she forgot my strawberries and blueberries :(. Sad day, I really would have liked the extra fruit I paid for. Oh well they’re a new business so I’m sure they’ll work out the kinks. The bowl was great, frozen blended fruit with granola and honey can’t be bad! But I must tell you the star of the bowl is the granola! I always find I don’t like the majority of granola because it almost always contains cinnamon and overpowers everything you put it on(much like ripe bananas), but this granola had hints of cardamom(I think) and no cinnamon!!! It’s so delicious, I’d like to buy just some granola! They also offer fresh pressed juices for $ 6 – 7 a cup(a bit spendy), oatmeal, and a few other fruit based items. I’ll definitely be back, but I won’t be leaving again without all my fruit on top… and some extra granola of course ;).

I’m so excited to try everything offered at The Bowl & Berry. So far I’ve tried a berry bowl(delish) and a berry float(unique and delish). They use Northwest berries, ripe fruit, raw honey, and locally made granola in their bowls. There’s just nothing else like this around in Portland. Definitely worth a try. I think I’m addicted!
