First timer for Taco Del Mar and pleasantly surprised! So for starters, this place is very well kept and this includes the bathroom. Service is very friendly and fast. Food was stellar for a fast food establishment! I had two chicken tacos and my husband had two carnitas. Plus, two tacos for $ 5 is a real deal!

Looking for some good Fish Tacos. While in Oregon saw Tacos Del Mar ok, let’s give it a chance. Fish Tacos good amount of cabbage, pico de gallo and white cream sauce. Good so far but, the size of the fish to the tortilla very small. All the condiments drown the taste of the fish because of the size. The service is very good and helpful. Black Beans & Rice are good the cheese Quesadilla could use more cheese, it is nothing like the claim. Try the Burrito it looks big and flavorful next time.

This ranking is based upon service, not the food. I was a witness to the horrible treatment of an employee by the owner. While I was in line, waiting to pay, the owner put her arms on the shoulders of any employee and forcibly walked her to the door and then proceeded to shove her out the door. I have no idea what transpired, but there are more professional ways to conduct oneself. All the patrons in the restaurant where upset by this woman and her behavior. She then proceeded tell off the other remaining employees within sight of the people who where trying to deal with what they were witnessing. It was pretty much employee abuse and I will never frequent this establishment again. Disgusting.

I had tried other Taco Del Mar locations years ago but stopped going because I just didn’t think they were very good. Well, that was a long time ago and I wanted to try them again to see if they’ve changed. I went to the Cascade Station location today. I got«two tacos for $ 5.00» with my choice of meat. I got carnitas for one of them and fish for the other. Ordinarily, their tacos just automatically come with lettuce, cheese, and pico de gallo, but the lady at the counter was super nice and said she would put whatever I wanted on it! They had a variety of different beans, rice, cheese, vegetables, salsas, etc. to choose from.(These are the items you would usually select if you were ordering a burrito, not a taco.) I picked several different items to put on each taco to make each one totally different. Anyway, this gave me a chance to get a taste of a lot of their different ingredients. One item in particular that I liked which I had not seen before was their corn/bean/cilantro mixture. It was crunchy enough to give the taco some texture. All the food was fresh and tasty.. .a lot better than years ago! In fact, the only thing that would make it better would be if they also had grilled fish in addition to the breaded fried fish that they do have.(But, the fried fish was fine too.) Well, I’m glad I tried them again, because NOW I like them and have another option when I’m craving quick, tasty, and reasonably priced tacos.

When I lived in PDX this place was on my list of regular stops. Yeah, it might not be authentic Mexican food, but it is by far the best fast Mexican food one can find. Now living away from one, I often crave a Mondo Burrito with a side of chips and cheese.

Food was ok, but lost my appetite after watching an employee«cleaning» the food baskets. He wiped them with a dry looking towel after banging each approximately 4 times on the edge of the garbage can. I guess the thin sheet of paper is supposed to protect me from the garbage can, and last customer’s, cooties. Note to all, don’t touch the basket’s edge– or else

When I first started visiting Oregon, I used to LOVE Taco Del Mar– This was probably about 5 – 6 years ago. We didn’t have any at the time in Northern Cali so I would go back home and be sad. Well, now that I live here… I was stoked to go again. Coincidentally, I work near this one. Its not the same… the flavors have changed, they dont have shredded beef anymore and its just like any other American-Mexican fast food place. Blah. However, the employees at this location is super friendly and they hook up the toppings on taco salads but thats why I gave three stars, otherwise it would have been one.

Decent fresher semi-Americanized Mexican food… not bad but nothing special.

We have decided to make this a weekly stop. Maybe 10 visits so far and always pleased. Good amounts, good salsas and tastes, and good service. We do with the vegan burrito were listed on the menu. Punch cards give us essentially a 10% discount on a meal we love. Our only complaint is that sometimes they are popular and we have to wait a few minutes. Seating is easy. Factor in that we are both vegetarians if that helps. Not fancy, but value and taste combo cannot be beat in our minds.

Every taco del mar that I’ve been to has been subpar. It just takes fake and not fresh. I guess I’m spoiled living in CA.

A poor excuse for Mexican food. My chicken burrito was tasteless. I know it is not a traditional place to eat mexi food. Come on let it have some flavor. I’m heading for the border! Just kidding…

I’m torn about rating such a low score for this place since it does not reflect their food or service(which was fine), but rather their policy of putting bible verses on the receipts. We appreciate that for many people it wouldn’t be an issue, but we didn’t feel that it was being inclusive to the whole community. To top it off, we sent an email to their head office to ask them about the policy, but we didn’t even receive a response back. So with that in mind, we now take our business elsewhere.

First visit to a Taco Del Mar and I was impressed with the food and service. I had the pork enchilada platter with rice and refried beans. It was pretty good for pre-made fast food. The two gentlemen working the evening of 8⁄27 were very friendly. I’ll be back.

I used to eat at Taco Del Mar all the time a few years ago. It was my favorite place to eat. I don’t eat there very often anymore nowadays. I decided to come here to grab some lunch because I haven’t been here in about a year. I’ve never been to this location. It was extremely busy at this location which is a good sign. I got the mondo burrito and a side of queso like I used to. The food tastes exactly the same except I got medium salsa which I have never gotten before. I usually get hot. The medium made the burrito taste a little off. The queso is good poured on the burrito for optimum gluttony and flavor. It’s a pretty good deal for the burrito, queso, chips, and a drink. $ 7.98. No tax since it’s Oregon. I like Chipotle but up here in Vancouver it’s always crowded and no seating. Taco del Mar has plenty of seating and most people seem to get to go orders so there is seating if you decide to eat in. My only problem with Taco Del Mar is that the workers either don’t pay attention or understand English. I had to repeat myself quite a few times so my order was correct. They are nice workers though and smile which is a plus.

Decently priced but not the most flavorful Mexican food I have ever had… also, the lackadaisical service did not astound me. When I got to the end, they didn’t have my chips and queso, so when I reminded the cashier, he sighed and rolled his eyes. Also, I told them«for here» about 5 times but they gave me my order to go anyway. I always enjoy that… so when I sit down with everyone, I am the only dude with plastic bags everywhere. Oh well, «the Dude abides.»

This was my first visit to Taco Del Mar. Being from the right coast, Taco Del Mar is definitely not a common sighting, if at all. I can best compare it to Moe’s Southwestern Grill. Simply put, you get what you expect. The food is decently priced and certainly filling. I got a mondo burrito with carnitas as a combo — this was plenty filling for my lunch. This restaurant location is clean and the staff was friendly(albeit, not as friendly as the«Welcome to Moe’s» that you get in its contemporary on the right coast.) The service was lightning fast, especially for the lunch hour rush. The restaurant was quite busy when we went and the line was pretty long. Because of the amount of people in the restaurant, it was a little loud, given that the atmosphere inside the building led to sound reverberating around. Overall, this was a solid lunch experience and I will consider going to Taco Del Mar again if I come across one.

Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about! The Cacades TDM is much better than the Hillsboro Imbrie Dr location. Big flavor from the Mondo Burrito. This location delivers exactly what I come to expect from this restaurant chain. Fast, friendly service. Good, hot and tasty food. Clean tables. Lunch on a surfboard. :-) It’s nothing more than fast food, but it’s a good choice if you’re in Ikea Territory getting ready to tackle the crowds in the store.

This is the friendliest Taco Del Mar location I’ve ever visited. My husband and I both had a cobo salad and the staff, upon learning neither of us eat meat or dairy, loaded up the lettuce with extra spoonfuls of pinto and black beans. We also received a healthy portion of other toppings and they looked around for other food on hand to offer, such as strips of tri-colored corn chips. When I asked for lime, she suggested how to squeeze it over the food just before I bit into it, maximizing its flavor. While we ate our above average Taco Del Mar food, I watched the staff smile and help other customers. It appeared that one borrowed a cooler from the store and was returning it. I am impressed with the customer service at this location, You can taste the difference.

Maybe 3.3 stars and certainly better than expected. My new open box lap top was being prepared by the Geek Squad at Best Buy, so I had a little extra time for dinner. The dining choices at Cascade Station are a bit limited, and more so if you’re on foot. After rejecting Red Robin and Quizno’s on my culinary dining list, I wandered into Taco Del Mar. The place is clean, the employees were friendly and in good humor(especially when they asked for my ID), and the chicken quesadilla(with beer and chips) was quite good. Decent prices too.
