Starbucks

The staff are very friendly and the coffee is especially tasty at this location. I usually order a decaf coffee which they create doing a pour over. They do ask me every time if I want to wait for the pour over, and occasionally they do take a while, but the thing is done well and the coffee comes out tasting great.

As far as starbucks go, this one is better than many others. Staff are friendly and the area is very clean. Wish a little more care went into the drinks, but it is not their fault they are the fast food of coffee.

Starbucks generally has consistent flavor across stores. I like this location because of the urban college vibe. Its in a nice location near Portland State University, just off the park blocks. Staff are efficient and friendly. The only recent problem has been their renovations took away seating and tables. Please put them back, as the place is not nearly as comfortable or inviting without them.

The young men that just helped me at this location were awesome! I came in one minute until close and they made my refresher with a smile! Best baristas ever!

Hands down the BEST staff. They are so amazing with me & my son. I live across the street, so I visit often. They are so sweet with us and go above and beyond every time.

I don’t drink coffee at Starbucks anymore, but I do crave their tea and lemonade drinks during the summer. They’re super refreshing and rejuvenating on a warm day. When I ran across this quite small Starbuck’s outlet in the south park blocks, I decided it was time for my first iced tea/​lemonade drink of the summer.
I received an instant welcome when I stepped through the door and had a great time chatting with the baristas who served up my iced tea/​lemonade drink right away. Like I said, the space is small, but it didn’t feel cramped because of good space planning and feels very welcoming and relaxed. I read the paper while I enjoyed my beverage.
I definitely would enjoy coming here again if in the neighborhood because of the relaxed atmosphere and friendly baristas.

Has many tables for people to study but gets really busy through out the day so come early if you’re trying to get a table!
The baristas are really nice and will help you as much as possible.
There are a lot of Starbucks downtown Portland and even a few a couple blocks away, so if this is busy just hop on down to another one.

i’m pretty regular since i live across the street, and i have to say how much i love grabbing a book and just relaxing at this starbucks.
The location can get busy at times, so it can be hard to grab some coffee in a pinch. the coffee is always great and the service is so warm and friendly.

Service is a little less personal here, but I don’t frequent this location. Was just sort-​of so-​so, busy place. Same coffee, just not the best atmosphere overall.

Maybe its just me, but I’ve been here on multiple occasions and ordered the same thing, and not once did they seem to really ‘greet’ me or strike up a conversation like all the other ones I’ve been to. Every time I order they just wait for me to finish saying what I want, and tell me the price and take my money.
But today, I walked up to the counter, and they didn’t even say hi or «what can I get for you today?» They just looked at me… Probably the most uncomfortable experience at Starbucks or any coffee shop I’ve ever had.
I come here for the convenience and free Wi-​Fi, but I’m considering moving to another location…

Despite long lines the service here is very quick and many people seem to have their drink ready by the time they pay. The staff is also very kind and they are actually the main reason why I even thought to review this location. I know people complain about Starbucks for a number of reason but in my book this one is pretty good.

Typical Starbucks fare, but super friendly staff. They’re attentive and friendly, and greet you as you step up to the counter. They frequently remember and greet their regulars, and the place always seems busy. It’s a small-​ish space, but they use it well.
