What can I say? It’s Starbucks. I come here because I know the quality of my drink and the service I receive will be consistent.

The best Starbucks because because they’re in the building where I work. Their baristas are awesome. They remodeled this location last year and it’s much better.

See my first review — all the same. Just tried another Starbucks. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Thus, I am now claiming back my sanity forevermore.

This place is ridiculously busy in the morning there is no room to move around, I rather walk down to the new Starbucks on SW2nd and Main across from the police station. This place has a lot more space to wait around and the people here are nice just like any Starbucks. They had a clover machine here since they opened.

Don’t even think that you’re going to be able to «grab a quick cup of coffee» in the morning here. The line is generally out the door. No, seriously. Out. The. Door. But if you can run in during the off times, there’s generally less of a wait. The folks are usually friendly and I love the redesigned interior.

You have got to try their new Clover coffee machine. Basically, as the very informed and helpful barista explained to me, it’s a reverse vacuum press. I got a decaf Sumatra blend today that is some of the best decaf I’ve ever had. Oh, and I agree with the other Unilocalers here: the staff is particularly good here compared to the multitudes of Starbucks baristas in the area.

Why, you ask is this Starbucks 4 stars? They gots a baby grand in the lobby! Yup, there is a real live human being playing the piano right outside this open door location. Frankly, that’s awesome. I don’t give a flying f*$k if there’s any association between the two. I just like having tinkling in the background o’ my grab n go coffee stop. That being said, please don’t go there! I’m always crunched for time and I don’t like you being in my way.

Always consistent and fast… can’t go wrong with Starbucks. The employees at this Starbucks are always friendly :-) Sometimes the line is out the door, and they get it moving quickly.

Didn’t want to write a review, because I want this store to not get more crowded. But this is the best Starbucks downtown. Yes it is busy in the morning because of the location right off the MAX, across from City Hall, and inside the Pacwest Center.

Can you really go wrong with a Starbucks? If so then go three blocks to the next one. Really though. THISLOCATION: The staff are very friendly, and service-minded. Don’t fear if there is a long line when you enter. It will move quite quickly.

Think all Starbucks are the same? Think again! The baristas in this location are truly gifted at what they do. This store sees huge amounts of traffic due to being inside the Pacwest Center, right across from City Hall. They recently remodeled and while there was a little hiccup with handling customer traffic right after the remodel, they seem to have ironed that out. There are always 2 – 4 people ready to greet you to get your order going and the baristas making drinks are always focused on the mountain of cups in front of them, getting quality drinks made as quickly as possible. Right after the remodel, this store also added the Clover machine which I don’t know much about, but I do know that only a few select stores have them. My co-workers who order coffee made from the Clover machine swear it is so much better than standard drip coffee. Also, if you are lucky you might catch a glimpse of the Portland mayor conducting business meetings or just enjoying a treat at one of the tables in the lobby.

This is the same as any other starbucks. my grande soy misto was the same as I had in Cali(but I admit, I’m a coffee noob) so it fits the bill. Nice and clean inside and it wasn’t loud at all.

Pretty much every Starbucks is the same, but I like the 5th Ave one because the employees are friendly. I have to commend the barista that is there in the early morning because he has a knack for remembering your drink if you have been in more than once. He surprisingly can remember many people. I haven’t had a problem at this location with unfriendly people or someone getting my drink wrong. They are precise and quick.

Doesn’t everyone already know about Starbucks? Is there really a need for a review? Oh, wait, I suppose that they are not all created equal. This one is fast and friendly, and they’ve never messed up a drink.

John, Damon, Molly: you ROCK. My penchant for tea is unstoppable. «Venti Iced Green Tea, no sweetener» is my drink and I order two of them right after I get to work. When they see me coming, they have them ready by the time I get to the front of the line. I’ve been coming to this location since high school(wut up St. Mary’s Coffee Club). They know their craft and they do it well day after day… and you can’t say that about most Starbucks locations.

I can see the collective braintrust of Unilocallandia exploding in a fit of rage right now. Listen to me. Starbucks sucks. I know. But I like this one. I was having one of those super suckfest days where you just can’t get your crap together. Having to walk into this joint for coffee on my 15min work-break just made it worse. Why five stars? Because I strolled in, looked at their offerings, and I asked the gentleman barista if he had a secret selection in back of good tasting coffee, like a Stumptown french press. He said, «NOPE, but tell you what, I agree, and I’ll french press you any one of our coffee selections. You choose it.» How could I refuse??? Starbucks offers to french press my coffee, admits their coffee sucks, and thanks me for it! It was still Starbucks coffee, and even if he spat in the press, my day shone a little brighter. Five stars for that.
