Insanely small parking lot, nearly impossible to turn around in or back out of, and way too close to the intersection. It would have been a good location for a drive thru, so I’m guessing the city wouldn’t allow it. Other than that, it’s starbucks, just like any other. The service good. This location is small for the neighborhood. It could have been a really good place to get together with neighbors. I miss the days when Sbux used to want to be «your third place» and asked for your name for your cup. It made me feel important. Nothing against this particular location though. I don’t think any of them do that anymore. No one has asked me in a long time. Now we are all just the name of our drink. I’m glad they kept the Kupie name on the building. Kupie Korner, used to be an ice cream shop. They had soft serve that was made out of ice cream instead of a mix.

It’s really small here and there are not enough outlets. I got stuck on the couch which was comfy but also not near any outlets. The atmosphere here was not friendly enough to ask to share tables with people who were near the outlets provided. I was really just upset with the fact that I could not be near an outlet and on the couch at the same time. The space is above our heads when it really needs to be spread out and redirected across the walking and seating area. The men’s room has no toilet seat covers. The women’s does.

I sit here all the time and use the internet or read. Fine place. The best thing about it is that generally nobody bothers me. I like the people who work here insofar as I like any customer service associate. They are polite and they give me the coffee-drink I ask for. Lord knows I don’t want to be their«best buddies,» though. So with all due respect, there is no reason for a counter person to ask me personal questions like what my name is, how long have I been in town, what do I do for a living. Your business is coffee, please place your attention there. Additionally, I am happy for any man or woman behind the counter if they are able to «score,» over the weekend, yet there is zero reason for me to hear about it across the café. I am happy for any woman or man who finds such-and-such customer«sooooooooooooooo attractive!» yet I’m not sure what their little gossip session has to do with me. I’m sure I’m just getting old, but I can’t help but wonder why do I have to know about who the baristas hook up with or want to hook up with. Can’t I just read my book in peace, Kids?

You know what? Starbucks is Starbucks is Starbucks, right? Well let me tell you… Saskia and Gina. They’re the reason for five stars here. The whole weekday morning crew are great, but these two are shining examples of what is needed at Sbux. I’ve been coming here for five months now, and from day 1 they’ve treated me like Sbux family. They’ve known my order forever, they’re always cheerful, and they really seem to care about my experience. This is my home Starbucks.

A better than average Starbucks with awesome employees that make you feel at home. Love it when a Barista remembers my name & my drink!

It’s Starbucks. It’s open early. I usually keep it super simple and just get a couple drip coffee’s and then we use our ‘clean’ creamers and sugars at the ‘office’. A couple times a month our coffee machine is out of commission getting cleaned, so into the mermaids arms we go. I don’t hate Starbucks, obviously, but I wish they gave an organic creamers/sugar option. This location has the organic blend often enough for me to be a big fan and I’m adding a star right now actually! A few other locations I hit up don’t carry that blend as often. The customer service has always been fast and friendly on my early 5am mornings. Not to abrasive, not to passive. Juuuust right :) Just like my ‘hood, this ‘hood!

It’s always busy here even though there’s not much parking space. The Batista’s r friendly. The drinks are hit or missed kind of thing depending on who’s making it. This is the closest one to me and it closes @ 7p. So that’s the down part. Overall– I like coming here.

After I greatly underestimated the time it’d take me to drive home from another location, I stopped in to use the bathroom and grab a coffee. Of course, the women’s restroom was out of order! As I was about four seconds from peeing on myself, I skipped the coffee and am left with only the sad memories of my brief visit here.

When it comes to Starbucks, you know what you’re getting(or at least you should). The menus at each franchise are just about identical, but there are distinct differences that make some branches more favorable than others. This review is meant to reflect what makes this Starbucks unique more so than the company as a whole. The location is pretty great. Right off of 39th, it’s certainly nice that they have a private parking lot. They do quite a lot of business, and during peak hours you may have some difficulty finding a seat. If you want a coffee shop with a bit more personality, check out Kenilworth Coffeehouse a few blocks north on Gladstone. They’re only open until 3:00 daily, but I prefer it to Starbucks. For frequent coffee drinkers, I also strongly recommend pursuing a Starbucks Gold Card if you do not already have one. By simply reloading and reusing a gift card, you can easily reach Gold status(which I think is worth it even under the new company rules). By doing so you get a free drink or food item after you’ve racked up 12 «gold stars»(items purchased).

Nice and quiet location. What is special about this location is that it has a nice bookshelf with a lot of books and some games. The sitting area is on the small side. Downside. it’s by a busy street(39th) and traveling on it even for a few blocks seems to take forever.

Great coffee shop. Awesome staff. Some more than others. The parking lot sucks. I don’t think there are 12 spots but a little known secret… There is a second parking lot that is only accessible to south bound traffic on 39 ave(for those new to P-town. AKA — S.E. Cesar Chavez.) They have a nice set up of tables outside. If you don’t mind traffic blasting your senses or the the four bus stops on that corner.

In this space once stood a dilapidated Kupie Cone, alone in the center of parking lot perpetually spotted with rain puddles. The sign also advertised burgers, but I never knew anyone who ordered one. We loved the Kupie Cone. They tore it down some years back and put up a mini mall. Still not sure how three businesses got crammed into the space. One is a Starbucks. Which is open on Thanksgiving Day. 3 stars! We had coffee, but one neighbor rushed in with a cooking emergency. She needed cream, nothing nearby was open, so the barista helped her out. That was nice. Not Kupie Cone nice, but still nice. [Yelp 30 Challenge: 22/30]

I am well aware that with quantity, quality often goes down. In this case, the coffee is pretty standard and decent but the customer service is lacking. My main complaint is that every single time I go to this location, I have to wait an extremely long time for coffee regardless if there is one person or 5 people waiting for coffee. There is always just one barista working no matter how busy or slow it is and they work at a snails pace. On two ocassions, I almost asked for my money back because it was taking too long and I was the only person waiting! They have decent Wifi and outdoor seating which is good. If you are not in any hurry or do not mind standing there and watching the barista work at –1 mph, then go here. If you would like your beverage in a reasonable amount of time, try another Starbucks a few blocks away.
