Fucking god awful. The only saving grace was our waitress… But she left on a break after she had seated our party, not telling anyone else. We had a fucking 45 minute wait, another waitress almost dropped a plate on my head. Like, it was so bad here, I almost died over an overpriced club sandwich and soggy fries.

This is a nice place to dine. However, I wish they would bring back the Honey glazed salmon and burssel sprouts course. Sometimes depending on the time of day and the name you use usually food is satisfactory. The ribs never disappoint.

Know one wants to work on christmas eve but the bartender jason C. Customer service is excellent. I came in for a beer tonight and it was served in a bad glass… I pointed it out and without an issue he noticed it after discard, possibly a glass that had not gone through the washer. He replaced it and apologized, but not only that, my second beer was on him. Cheers and a merry christmas.

This is now the third time in a row at Stanford’s I’ve had a less than stellar experience. I’ve been a long time patron of Stanford’s, but I can’t say I’ll continue. 1.) Put dairy on an item even though we told them we were lactose intolerant. It was hidden and we almost missed an expensive event because of it. 2.) We ordered prime rib, it came out cold and the best they could do was say they would take it back and heat it up(microwave city) 3.) Now this experience… I came here on Saturday with my boyfriend for a nice meal. Our waiter was so grumpy and did not even crack a smile. He spoke to us the least amount possible, and was not helpful. We got out soup finally and finished close to 40 minutes before our food was out. When our food arrived, it looked lovely. I got the swordfish and he got the tenderloin tips. Upon trying it, it was cold– both plates. Not just the meats, but the potatoes and vegetables. Our waiter didn’t even come around for 15 minutes, but I informed him of the cold. Once again, the solution for them was to go heat it up. I informed him it took us this long to get our food, and there is no reason we should wait again for them to put it in the microwave. Then, who I assume was the manager, came over and offered apologies and to take it back. Seriously, we said no. It cost enough, we shouldn’t have to do this. I mentioned that even the potatoes which they probably make in bulk were cold, and he asked if he could bring me more. They weren’t even that good, so no. After this, our waiter could not have rushed us more. I still had a half a plate full of food. He brought the check, my boyfriend paid, and we never saw the waiter again. So much for taking anything with me, thank you. Only plus was that they did decided to take $ 15 off our $ 70 bill, but that’s hardly what I expect for a nice dinner. I’m not sure I’d ever come back, especially to this location. They just continue to disappoint.

Not so great. Our first time and I can’t say I’ll be going back any time soon. I was with a party of eight and it took a hour and 15 minutes to receive our food. Not once did the server provide an update until we asked. I ordered a beef Cobb salad and it was great, but others at my table didn’t like their pork tacos. The shells were like rubber, they said. The manager did come by and offer soup at one point, but it was well after we inquired and almost at the point our food was to come out. No mention was made about discounting our bill or similar. Overall, not super impressed. Just know where not to go next time.

Sooooooooooo 1 Year later we go on another date but this time we go to the Stanfords in Jantzen Beach had a very good time good service and good food and we get the bill and pay with our gift card the we kindly received from Stanfords on our last visit. The waiter came back with a red face and stated the card was not active and necer had been. So our first experience at Stanfords at Loyd Center was bad I stated that and we were sent a $ 20 gift card that was never activated… I guess shame on us for going back at all. To bad as we love steak and we felt Stanfords at Jantzen Beach did a good job.

Ok… No bread… what? Was I just hangry or what? I suppose my disappointment is unwarranted but I’ve never been impressed with Stanfords. The filet and prime rib we ordered this last visit was good and the loaded baked potato was one of the best that I’ve had in awhile but the rest of the experience was underwhelming. We come to this location because it has been convenient but will be looking for other places.

Update: We have subsequently received a nice email from the Manager and visited Stanford’s Lloyd Center again. As expected, a typical Stanford’s experience(IE: very positive). My martini which I ordered stirred, was stirred. Food — great. Service — great. Every place has off nights, and we were there for a doozy as below. I am hopeful the management can keep their team on point. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - Initial Review: We have patronized Stanford’s locations all over Portland, including the Lloyd Center restaurant. While the service, food and presentation have generally been well above average our experience on Friday 10÷30÷15 @ this location fell to the«One-Star» level. Here is why: — Martini ordered stirred, but was shaken and loaded with ice. While I would have been OK with that, I was not OK with the fruit fly floating around in my poorly made $ 7.00 cocktail. Our waiter made himself scarce after delivering our drinks, so I took the martini up to the bar. I set it on the bar top, and when the bar tender sauntered up he glanced at the beverage and said, I kid you not, «Dive bomber eh?». I had to ask for a replacement after a few seconds of awkward silence. The Stanford’s we know would have com’p the drink. — Fish tacos were, well, ugly. Overcooked and topped with what looked exactly like a trail of green/brown bird crap that was supposed to be guac. The rice was undercooked and dry. Just unpleasant. Again, not at all like any food we have had at Stanford’s which has always been fresh, appealing, and well presented. — The regular margarita was made with a pre-mix that was sticky sweet, and it was served buried under a water glass worth of ice. Our waiter responded to a request for some fresh lime juice by brining a small quantity of Rose’s Lime juice… which is a highly processed bottled lime flavoring that is sweetish. No help. Just lazy, and again if it were a $ 2.00 drink at a dive bar it wouldn’t have mattered. you expect crap. But not for what Stanford’s charges. — Overall wait service was lackluster and infrequent. This was a very poor showing for Stanford’s. We’ll be back but expect a better experience for our $ 75.00 for drinks and dinner next time!

I really enjoy coming to Stanford’s at HH more than regular seating. The new menu items are worth giving a try~especially the cheeseburger sliders and my fav the Ribs n Ring {3 ribs, 1 huge onion ring}. On my next visit I plan to try the Crab cake Sliders, Cod tacos and something else I remember sounding delicious. Before these items were available my choice was always the artichoke dip and chips and/or the Chicken Strip basket. Oh, the flat bread pizza is delish too, I don’t eat it as often anymore because of the grease intake but it’s a good choice for a group of about 3 + to share it. My drink of choice is a Pomegranate Mojito {or 2 or 3 or…} followed by an ice water. It used to be Mango flavored but Pom won me over. Occasionally I’ll get the Original Mojito but I like a little flavor when alcohol is involved lol. LaToya is the sweetest bartender. She has a bright warming smile and never hesitates to give her input on what’s good drink or eat if your indecisive. She is the reason I get the Pomegranate Mojito over the Mango and I even tried the two mixed but it wasn’t good to me. LaToya is very professional and serves each patron with respect and professionalism. Actually on my last two visits, she wasn’t the bartender but working in the bar area. Service still the same as if she was behind the counter and my drinks were still good even though she didn’t make them :) This is a great spot as far as location, parking and shopping as it’s right outside a shopping mall and on public transportation. Outdoor seating is cool too when the weather is perfect~you know the days when there aren’t any clouds in the sky, sun shining and no wind blowing type perfect day. Anywho if you happen to dine in the bar and meet LaToya tell her I sent you :) lol I’m not guaranteeing a free drink or app but who knows what will happen when you mention my name :)

Yesterday I held a baby shower at Stanford’s. At this location they have a back dining area with 3 round tables and 6 booths. It is a perfect spot for a party under 30 people. My client had a few requests for the venue and Stanford accommodated them all. Mia the Manager was in constant contact with me via email as well as called me to verify some information before hand. The event went great with the help of the assistant manager Nathan and our server Sarah was very attentive! The guests enjoyed their food, lunch prices where reasonable and having separate checks was not a problem. Overall the afternoon was wonderful! I look forward to working with Stanford’s again and dining personally as well!

How this is only averaged a 2.5 star blows my mind. The dinner we had here was outstanding. I’ve never eaten a meal so quickly. The tenderloin tips were like butter in your mouth. I could’ve easily eaten another plate(well maybe not, but I definitely wanted to). My friend ordered the Kruse burger. The bacon on there was HEAVENLY. & the avocado spread had a nice kick to it. I don’t like hamburgers but I would’ve eaten that one for dinner in a heartbeat(had I not eaten the tenderloin first…) Our server was great. Very attentive & checked on us at appropriate times. Had a sense of humor & never made us feel like we were being neglected even though he was helping quite a few other tables at the time. I guess the only downside is the interior is a little outdated. The fabric on the booths while not worn, was tacky. The lighting was extremely dim, I can understand this for a romantic setting, but it could use a remodel to bring it up to more modern standards. All in all, I would suggest anyone to eat here if you’re shopping at Lloyd Center.

Went to the Lloyd Center location yesterday. We were greeted upon arrival. The waiter helped us immediately as we pondered the menu. The crab cake was amazing. It was juicy and flavorful. The service was immaculate. We will definitely return in the future.

Quite possibly the worst meal I have had in years. We arrived at 3:30 and sat in the outdoor area. Ice teas arrived and from there downhill. 2 couples seated at different tables arrived well after we did and they received their food first. We waited another 7 minutes before we got our cold appetizers. The fish street tacos had sat somewhere so long the sauce absorbed through the tortilla and it fell apart upon picking it up. Hickory smoked fries so salty barely edible. Rings and ribs onion ring batter fell off and the rib was just fatty. It’s unfortunate I had to pay for that mess.

Came here a couple nights ago, ordered the pork sandwich with a beer and a side of fries. The pork was cooked nicely, a little dry for me. I like wet. But the sandwich was very filling and the fries were delicious. Our waitress was very polite but very obviously trying to hurry is along. No biggie, but we were on a date so it was a bit over zealous. Other than that, the sandwich was bit overpriced and the service was rushed. Would go again but only for happy hour.

It’s always best to go here for happy hour. Other than that you end up paying a lot of money for food that tastes about the same as Applebee’s. BTW I’m not a fan of Applebee’s so this is not a compliment. The ambience is really nice. The customer service could definitely be better waitresses take forever to take your order, to bring your order out whether it’s crowded or not. However they are quick to bring your check to you The menu choices have changed over the years now the happy hour selection is slim they have some okay stuff definitely not worth paying full price for. The drinks are an average of $ 8.00 and they don’t make them strong. It’s a place to go for a 1st date because of the atmosphere not the food. But I wouldn’t recommend making it your first choice

I’m not really a fan of Stanfords at all. But it’s one of the very few places for happy hour in the dead zone near work, so star for that. $ 4 draft beer(from a very limited list) and $ 4.95 for chardonnay or cabernet sauvignon. There’s a pretty decent selection of affordable American classics to eat, so it’s a good idea to make a meal of it. Second star for the sweet potato fries. Otherwise, the service isn’t great and the atmosphere definitely isn’t great(think Ruby Tuesday’s, Applebee’s, etc.). There’s no reason to go unless all of your coworkers live in opposite directions and you want to compromise. Or I guess if you spent a long afternoon at the mall and need to refuel? Yuck. Hopefully new businesses will soon see this as a great opportunity to improve a neighborhood that is severely lacking in local bars and restaurants. Please?

Uhm, I didn’t experience terrible service at Stanfords. However, I wasn’t entirely impressed with the food there. I had the Patty Melt which consisted three different types of meat(beef, steak, and ribs, I think) grounded together. It was… just…interesting. It was definitely not something I’d order again. The fries were good. You can’t go wrong with that. I’d come back but try something else.
