Burger was just mediocre. I didn’t care for how it was seasoned and mine wasn’t as stuffed with cheese like I thought it would be. It was also too greasy for me. Pretty expensive for a burger and fries. Folks were nice tho.

Fun food cart! Menu is amazing — and hard to decide. (Not a bad thing!) Had the Calzone Burger and it waa very good. The burger itself was fresh and full of flavor. Although, I wish the mozarella was actually melted. Would go back… fun experience.

Great cart serving up some stuffed burgers in style in the Rose city pod on Sandy. Friendly owner makes everything from scratch so be prepared to wait, but its well worth it. I got the Smak dab which was juicy and stuffed with the right amount of cheese. Excellent stuff. The fries are darn right amazing as well.

Try the Buffalo blue from hell. It’s amazing. Comes with fries that were very well cooked and fresh.

The guy that works this food cart is awesome. Very friendly and he sure knows his way with some beef. The burgers are amazing! So flavorful and juicy with oozing malden lava cheese. They all come stuffed with different cheeses and sauces. The sriracha fry sauce is great. And they use a sriracha beer batter on the onion rings and fried foods. If you want a quality burger with layers of exploding flavor, this place won’t disappoint. I typically hit up killer burger when I’m in the mood for some beef but this might be my new go to spot. You have to try it.

I’ve already reviewed Smak dabs! But time for an update and photo! Still the best burger I’ve ever had and best customer service as well. I could eat here everyday and never get tired of it! Chris is the best. He has mastered the burger.

This burger was pretty amazing. I had the lamb stuffed with Gouda and it was absolutely mouth watering! To me the bun is critical and I was not disappointed. The owner Chris was very personable and accommodating to my extremely picky 10 year old who for the record gives his burger 5 stars as well. I thought the size of the burger and portion of fries was very adequate. I have a big appetite and couldn’t finish all of the fries. Looking forward to going back soon and have already recommended to many friends and family.

Had the self-​titled Smak Dab burger stuffed with Swiss cheese and topped with a big ol’ onion ring, $ 9 with steak fries. Very good… in fact, much better than most restaurant/​pub burgers. Also grabbed a beer from the «shed bar». Sat and ate and drank in the sun. Great meal!

This place is awesome! I got the lamb burger stuffed with gouda. I didn’t want a bun so the dude serving me (who was super friendly and awesome) put it on a bed of arugula instead. The fries are so damn good (thick and flavorful with a hint of crunch.) The dipping sauces were on point too. The only thing I’d take a star away for is that you don’t get much fries with your order. Still worth it though! Definitely would go back and bring friends.

I am finally writing a review for this cart as I have now tried all of his burgers. What can I say but Wow! Chris the owner /​operator knows his stuff and has a terrific attitude. Today was the «Calzone» burger with pepperoni, Mozzarella, and Marinara. cooked medium with a nice char on the outside but juicy in the middle with toasted bun with crisp red onion and arugula mix. As with every trip I also ordered his addictive Beer batter Siracha onion rings.

Holy cowzoli!!! This place means serious taste bud business. Eating here is a privilege to your mouth. I believe their specialty is stuffed burgers and boy I’m going to have to agree that they’re damn good at what they do. I had the pleasure of trying the something habanero hellraiser which was their special at the time. I was unsure what to get because everything on their menu looked so good. Chris helped me by suggesting the special. At first I thought $ 11 was a bit much for their specialty burger but after having it I’d do it again in a heartbeat. The way he explained it sold me b/​c he was so enthusiastic.
The first bite was a mouthgasm! The burger patty burst with flavor from the juices of the prosciutto and havarti (I think) cheese that the patty was stuffed with. The pickle and onion brought the flavor out of the seasoning and two meats. The habanero spread was really good as well and really complimented everything. It had bite but wasn’t that spicy. Next time I’m going to ask for more on it.
It came with fries as well. They were fat the steak style and hr seasoned them making them really ready as well. Oh yeah, they also came with some dipping sauce that I think was ketchup/​mayo; also good.
I don’t know why I kept overlooking this place when we would visit this food pod but boy was I mistaken. It may be my go-​to for the next couple visits, at least until I try every burger he offers.

Wow. What a great burger! I got the lamb with stuffed Gouda. Such a great combination of flavor. The steak fries were cooked to perfection and the lamb was seasoned perfectly as well! The owner was genuinely very nice! If you love burgers, this one is a no brainer.

This place just opened up at the Rose city food park. The guy who owns it is pretty cool and his burger concoctions are phenomenal! My favorite has to be the cheeseburger that comes with a bacon siricha onion ring. I love all 3 things & they definitely taste great combined with a nice patty & bun! Can’t wait to try out the lamb and Gouda burger along with the mac n cheese goodness I saw the other day.

Best Burger in Portland! I’m always stuffed after a stuffed burger. Love the sauce that comes with the fish too. I could put that sh&t on everything!

The Calzone Burger blew my mind! I cannot wait to try one of the other burgers on the menu.

My husband said this is THE best burger place he’s been to. He had the one stuffed with pineapple and it was literally 6 inches tall! I would definitely recommend!

A food cart site said this cart has burgers like a jucy Lucy from Minneapolis so wanted to try it.
I ordered the lamb with gouda burger, it had good flavor, but ratio of size of toppings and bun to the meat patty size wasn’t my preference. It didn’t have the molten cheese core of a jucy lucy (other reviewer made this claim) perhaps he doesn’t make in the style of jucy lucy?
I’m not a fan of steak fries, but as far as steak fries go they were fine.
If the carts did ala cart pricing I’d get a sandwich here and crinkle cut fries from the pignapen cart at the same pod in the future. Due to preference for other forms of fried potato products will explore other burger carts before giving this one another try.

Was about to crush this place for the extremely small burger on a large bun. For some of you remember (where’s the BEEF?). He he. But it packed a very large flavor. Fries are always second nature and these were just that. Steak fries no seasoning and about 6 of them. Will try other burgers.

This place is absolutely delicious. The burgers are literally to die for! I have tried the Teriyaki burger as well as the Mickie and both were incredible! I ate every bite and it left me feeling warm and fuzzy inside. Okay maybe I was actually feeling super full, but super full in a good satisfied way. I would highly recommend giving this place a try. It’s well worth the trip and I live a good 25 – 30 minutes away. The flavors will blow your mind, I promise! On top of all that, the owner is a really nice guy. You can tell this guy cooks from the heart and loves making delicious burgers. What are you waiting for? Go get one!

Please forgive me as I am writing this review about 10 minutes after I ate. And I think I may explode with stuffed burger goodness ! Let’s start from the beginning, the owner walks up, he greets you, explains the menu, you look it over like an idiot because you want all of it and you order way too much because you want it all… And you will gladly order way too much next time too!
The teenager got a burger stuffed with macaroni and cheese and pepperoni then he put more cheese on top, Bacon and a fried egg. Necessary no, absolutely need to have again, hell yes! I managed to get about two bites of it before he snatched it away from me again. I did manage to get some of the burger fall out too. I ordered the Lamb of Gouda stuffed burger. A lamb burger stuffed with smoked Gouda! The flavor sensors in my mouth were going crazy! My dopamine levels were so high by the time I was finished, my eyes were teary with joy!
Back to the burger. it’s NOT a frozen patty! The bun is soft but substantial enough to handle all of the burger run off, which burgers should have! Definitely a 2 napkin burger! And they come with seasoned steak fries! That are actually seasoned!
As if that weren’t enough food, we also got bacon batter fried pickles, these were our appetizer and bacon batter fried mushrooms, real mushrooms, not some slimy chopped up crap for dessert, all accompanied with sirracha dipping sauce. Holy food coma burger deliciousness! As I drove slowly home, we were remarking that we couldn’t think of a better burger… Again with the surging dopamine and misty eyes. Flavor pockets in the mouth reactivated with fresh memories of meaty goodness.
Smak Dabs, you are the Michelangelo of burgers. And for that we thank you!
