Like so many malls, the Lloyd Center hosts the dependable See’s Candy. It is on the second floor, near an escalator. This is the store which has that familiar look. Some candy is in boxes on the shelves, while others are truffles on displays. As usual, samples are offered by the workers in the store. It was beautiful to go to See’s again. I got my sample and I had a truffle for just 95¢. It was complex and tasty enough to easily justify such the small pricetag. Of course there is lots of higher end chocolatiers since this is a metropolitan area after all, but truly this will suffice at times. Chocolate here receives its zen balance.

Whenever I’m in the mall window shopping my day away, I’ll make a stop into See’s. I’m always greeted with a free sample of one of their decedent chocolates, and nibble while I decide which other lovely chocolates to choose. I always get a pecan roll, but try a couple more that I haven’t had before. Recently, I was helped by a woman who inspired me to write this review. I don’t recall her name, but she rung me up, and my total was a dollar less than my usual total for three chocolates. I was pleasantly surprised. I’m not sure actually how the price works for chocolates– ONTOP of that, she threw in three free samples and a pumpkin spice lollipop. Thank you kind See’s lady, and thank you See’s for providing quick and yummy chocolates for my afternoons at the Lloyd Center.

So disappointed! This candy shop has seriously gone downhill. The candies aren’t fresh and no better than a grocery store candy bar — just more variety. At $ 18.50 a pound — so not worth it.

I freaking love coming here for lunch. If i’m having a bad day, it’s like therapy for me. How sad is that.

They were out of a decent number of their staple selections when we visited. The associate was knowledgeable about the products but seemed fake and didn’t make me feel very welcome. Weren’t many people in line when we arrived and the fast service was appreciated. No reason not to buy chocolate here, plus they still had the Pineapple Truffle in stock which is mostly why I show up to See’s at any given time anyways. Yay for free samples!

Seriously, Easter just wouldn’t be the same without a variety of See’s Easter candies to gorge on throughout the day. I bought a big bag full of chocolate Easter eggs for the family at this particular See’s location – at the very last minute, which is my style. The shop wasn’t crowded at all and, of course, we were offered a free sample. The clerk was friendly and the transaction was as easy as fudge. Is it really that bad to eat truffles for breakfast? Not if you make it nutritionally complete… with bacon. Happy Easter, all.
