Quarry Run is a great park to have here in Portland. A lot of city dwellers don’t have yards to run their pooches and this park is a great place to do just that. It’s completely fenced in and safe to let your dog off leash and roam untethered. There’s some walking trails but they are uneven and can get muddy, so make sure you wear sneakers that you don’t mind getting dirty. There is a smaller fenced in area inside of the park that is supposed to be for smaller dogs to play together, but I’ve never really seen this utilized which is unfortunate(I have a 20lb Chihuahua that would love to play with small dogs). Rarely do we see other small dogs here, it’s mostly large dogs but we still come and roam around; he isn’t afraid of the large dogs and he needs to keep socialized. There are poop bag stations around but it’s still probably a good idea to bring your own just in case they run out, I always do. There’s also metal water dishes around but no water fountains to fill them, so bring your own water.

The walk is decent minus the toxic water surrounding the old landfill. The worst part about this place is that my car window was smashed open and all of my belongings were stolen. Very shady place. The police say it’s a hotspot for break ins because there are no cameras. I will never be back!

Really an awesome park for dogs. There is a huge off leash area plus a mile loop to walk your dogs around if you want exercise. My first visit was in March during the puddle i mean rain season though there was still tons of snow and ice. And man was i wearing the wrong shoes. Wow. Not to mention my Florida dog had been in snow before. Im not sure which one of us was more entertaining. So good tip if u visit here in late winter early spring wear mud shoes. Oh its called Mud season thats right!!! There are no fountains to fill the half a dozen water bowls so bring at least a bottle of water esp on warm days. Also poop bags are hit or miss so bring those too. Not a good place for aggressive dogs, infants, strollers, wheel chairs, walkers, or canes. No flip flops!!! And wear clothes you like to see covered in dirt. And make sure your pup has been treated for fleas and check for tics in April!

Brought our dog here for the first time recently — pretty awesome. Quite a few parking spots, a(LARGE) fenced in area for the dogs to play, and tons of places to walk, including a huuuuge hill to climb(we opted not to considering there was about 2 feet of snow on the ground). Good times!

This place is very nice. It can get muddy when it rains and parking is sometimes limited.
