I should start by saying this place was completely out of my radar by being «far away». It’s a twenty minute drive and completely worth it.
I have a maltese lhasa mix who is older and every time I get her back, she looks like a goddess. The groomers here are phenomenal in their work, listen to what I request, and do a great job.
For instance, I prefer my dog to have a «fade». This place was the only one to understand what I meant, and they went above and beyond my expectations. On top of that, my dog had fleas once and the price didn’t even rise above the norm of what I pay.
This is the place to get your pets groomed in Portland.

Did a very good job with my little white Pomeranian mokie for a last minute groom since we were coming in from out of town! She was ready in a little over an hour and we even shows up a tad late with Portland traffic. All in all the staff was patient and nice and it was very affordable! Will be back for sure!

Awesome. Earned their great reviews! Ladies were so gentle with our rescue… Wally had such severe matted hair but they handled it and he looks adorable. Can’t wait to bring our other boy Oscar for his spa day. THANKS to the whole team for an awesome job!

Took my two small dogs in for a groom and nail trim and the price was great. I think this is a great and affordable place!

Love, love, love!!! Pupdo’s always does such a great, timely job with our 2 dogs. They try to fit you in the same day you call and can usually have the dogs done within 2 hours of drop off. The employees are all very friendly and you can’t beat the prices. Will continue to use their services and recommend to our friends with dogs!

I love this place. Love it! If you’ve ever seen me at the dog park, chances are I’ve talked to you about how amazing this place is. Friendly, affordable, and SUPER caring. I totally and completely trust my babies to them. That’s saying a lot.

SAVE YOUR MONEY. SAVE YOUR TIME. I don’t know who I’m more upset with pupdo for canceling my grooming appointments for being 10minutes late for drop off or myself for having agreed to go back there. The first time I went after reading reviews. I was not impressed with the look of the place it was shabby and dirty and smelly. But I was happy with my adorable dog. He looked good and didn’t act traumatized. The dye job was hilarious and I probably referred 20+ people. The second time it was a hack job. People at the dog park asked me if I did it myself and friend said it looked like he was groomed by a special needs toddler. I was told numerous times to complain, demand a refund or make them fix it. They also had agreed to dye my Pomeranian and told me when I picked him up that they just didn’t have time. That was a disappointment and unprofessional. But not nearly as frustrating as the horrible haircut. So fast forward half a year and I have 4^th of July and the opening of my new business so I really want a celebratory hairstyle. I decide to give them another try with fingers crossed. I research and find a simple dye job, one I think a local can do. I set my appointment and then 5blocks from the groomer I get the where are you phone call. I was told to drop at 9. It was 9:10. Ummmm this is Portland! I have two dogs on schedule for over a week I’ve waited for this and she doesn’t have time. OBVIOUSLY she overbooked. So her lack of time management and overall professionalism rate a two star. And my anger magnified by my own frustration at myself drop it to 1. Thanks for wasting my time and leaving me stranded.

This was my dogs first time here. We had heard good things however unfortunately I was less than satisfied. The shop itself was very messy. It looked like they were just moving in. I was a little hesitant as soon as I walked in, but based on the feedback we had heard I decided to go with them anyway. My dog was definitely a lot softer after the cut, however the quality of the cut was subpar. Also very overpriced for a low-​quality haircut.

When I walked in to pick my pup I could hear him Unilocaling repeatedly but I was «reassured» he was not in any pain (he was having mats removed). I was also told he was too nervous around the clippers and they weren’t able to do the cut but had clipped the nails and did a shampoo. I walked away disappointed. This put me off taking him anywhere because of his experience but when I finally couldn’t take his overgrown shaggy fur I took him in to Pets Smart and the girl there did a FABULOUS job. She said he was COMPLETELY fine and that he did not react to anything. She was even shocked I had worries because he behaved so well. This makes me question his experience at Pupdo’s because the visits were day and night difference.

I had Pupdo’s recommended to me by a fellow dog lover from my neighborhood. We adopt senior and special needs dogs, so a groomer who is kind, patient, and loves dogs is a must. Most recently I’ve taken our one eyed Pom mix and our little «American shelter dog» (some sort of spaniel mix?) there several times. They come back clean, neat, and best of all, happy! I love the service, and they’re really affordable. Also, the dogs are ALWAYS ready when they say they’ll be ready, and when you work and/​or are busy, that’s important! I recommend Pupdos to anyone who asks. And I love that it’s a small local business, not some chain corporation.

Excellent service. My pup is a bit nervous, and they were very patient while debriefing about his various neuroses. They are exceptionally reasonable with their prices, but don’t skimp on quality grooming. I will definitely be back.

These people are so kind and accepting of all pups. I have two mixes and they willingly took them in when some others wouldn’t. My childhood dog– RIP– went here as a senior when no other groomer would care for her since she was so old. These people do a great job. We’re $ 10 less overall than what I paid at the last place that didn’t do as thorough of a job and though for me it is a good 20 min drive — their treatment and acceptance of my animals will keep me coming back.

I REALLY wanted to like Pupdo’s due to the location and grooming skills. My review is based on service NOT grooming issues. Grooming wise, they are excellent. I took my two pomeranians and my Bichon and they came out looking great, always have. I used to take them to their old location but stopped going for several years since I was grooming them myself. This last experience, unfortunately resulted in me not ever wanting to bring them in again. 1 week after grooming one of my pomeranians ended up having a ruptured anal gland. I thought it was odd since they say they express their glans during grooming but didn’t think too much about it. She ended up needing surgery to repair gland. I made my next appointment but didn’t bring her in since she was still healing. When I was asked why I didn’t bring her in I told them she had issues with her glads to which their response (Dawnida specifically) was «Oh, not sure if we mentioned last time she was in that it was hard to express them and we had issues doing it». If they would have mentioned this at the end of her last grooming we could have avoided her ruptured anal gland as I would have taken her in to vet immediately to have them expressed/​checked out. I was upset but decided not to mention anything since it was already done. When I came back to pick up my pups I was extremely shocked/​frustrated that the young lady at the front did not check to make sure the dog gate was secure. My dogs came running out/​opened gate into the main area. At that time there was another person coming in. they could have run out into the VERY BUSY street. That to me was the last straw. I’m giving them 2 stars for their grooming skills. Sad to have to start looking for another groomer.

I brought my mini Aussie in for a haircut and bath Monday and couldn’t be happier with the results! The last place I too him charged an arm and a leg, but didn’t really clean him up much. He has lots of wild and crazy hair, which gets matted behind his ears… Pupdos not only did a great job getting rid of his mats, but it didn’t look like they just chopped it off, either. They also did a fantastic job of trimming him up, but not leaving him «naked.» Its apparent how kucb they value their work and love the animals they tend to. The service was fast, friendly, and my pup wasn’t the least bit afraid! On behalf of my furbaby, we will definitely be going back!!!

Groomed my fearful rescue pup perfectly. My boy hates having his paws touched (snarls and tries to bite) but they trimmed his nails and paw fur and gave me a plan for coaxing him out of that fear for next time. It was also his first time being away from his family, and I was worried he’d cry the whole time — nope! He was hugging the staff on his way out and in a terrific mood. Couldn’t be happier with the experience.

I really needed to find a groomer yesterday that could service my two Pomeranians. I was in quite the dilemma because of time constraints and well – my 5 month old screams/​wiggles/​and cries for bloody murder every time he sees a brush and me leave the room.
When I dropped them off, the women were all in the back and shouted out a friendly hello. I know it sounds weird, but there’s a comfortable level of knowledge and casual professionalism that makes you feel really at home. There’s cushioned puzzle pads covering the floor, and it is obvious that it is catered to dogs. The groomer came out to meet me for our scheduled appointment, and immediately cuddled and talked to them. She got the basics of what I wanted, and again, was mostly focused on the dog.
Now – this sounds weird, but this is exactly what I’m looking for. I’ve had a really hard time finding the right groomer. I don’t want to go somewhere where people are catering to me, trying to «butter me up». This service is for my precious pooches, and I want to make sure that who I’m leaving them with is in good hands that genuinely care, understand, empathize, and enjoy themselves. I definitely got this impression.
When I came to pick them up – Louie (my 5 month old male Pom) was in great spirits. They were excited to see me, but he didn’t look strung out and like he was going to keel over from a panic attack.
Xena (my female Pom) loves getting groomed, and is super casual and easy. For Louie’s first time – just wow, couldn’t of picked a better place.
I live in Gresham, and getting over is a 30 minute drive. Definitely worth it. Will be back again!

Dawnida is magical. I have a pomeranian and two yorkies. She is speedy, kind, and talented. My dogs come back looking beautiful.

I have never had the need for a dog groomer because most of my dogs are wash and go dogs. Recently we adopted a rescue dog who is a Brussells Griffon. Dawnida was so wonderful with her since Our pooch ‘will bark alot or gets stress when you leave behind. She seemed pretty chill when i picked her up and she looked great! Dawneda fixed her bad haircut and now she can see! Their prices are very reasonable and affodable. They also accommodated seeing our pooch by staying late the same day I called which I really appreciated. Pupdo’s rocks!

My dog has TWO bulging discs. Her usual groomer refused to take her anymore for fear of hurting her. I called my vet who had no references but, did give me the number to another vet who might.
Did not.
I went on Unilocal to find a good groomer. I found PUPDO’S. I called PupDo’s and after asking me a few questions said they could take her. YAY! We made an appointment.
It is a little hard to find. Though, once I found it the paws on the building made it pretty clear. What made it hard to find initially, was the lack of a sign. I went in the shop with my elderly, two bulging disc, love of a dog. I spoke with Dawnida (?) the groomer. We spoke at length about my dog and her needs and my needs. I felt very reassured.
Dawnida was clear to explain that they will pick her up with both hands under but, in front of her back legs, and under her chest hugging while, her to their chest to prevent squirming and further damage.
For $ 40 PupDo’s shaved my matted little dog, expressed her glands (which, I do not know nor want to do), and trimmed her nails.
When I went to pick her up she was clipped nearly as I wanted. There was one thing I had not made clear. The moment Dawnida knew something else needed to be done she immediately and HAPPILY took her back in and fixed it in a moment.
I will be going back to PupDo’s the next time my dog needs grooming.

We just moved to the area and have 2 English Springer Spaniels. We’ve had trouble finding good groomers, but am so happy to say that our search has ended! Dawnida and her staff were so friendly, and made us feel like they had all the time in the world to give us just what we needed.
Dawnida made sure she understood exactly the kind of cut we wanted for our dogs, and when they were finished, they looked better than any other place we had taken them. She has a really large, open space, and you can either leave your pet there all day if you need to, or, she can do them right away when you bring them in for their appointment and you can pick them up right after they are done. She does the dogs one at a time, so unlike other places we have taken them, I can pick them up within a couple short hours. No stress on the dogs and they were so happy when I picked them up.
Her prices are very reasonable and I love that Dawnida used to be a vet tech, so she is very familiar with challenging pets.
