Pizza was well overcooked, and the cookie I had was very dry and not as tasty as wished.

As short a time as the pizza slice was in the oven for a re-heat, I was surprized at how hot it was. I loved the crunchy thin crust. The toppings were adequate. I thought the slice a bit small for $ 3.50. I got a great welcome from the girl with long blond hair and the cashier was very nice, as well. I was offered a cookie, which looked great, but I passed. You have to search a bit for the napkins and cheese, they were on the bar counter. Very nice little light lunch.

For an airport where pizza places typically have the pizzas already made and heat them up on a per order basis. I think is one of the better places. Had two slices of pepperoni and a soda. Pricey, but not for an airport. Good blend of seasonings and I really enjoyed the crust. The crust was cooked all the way through initially and the reheat made it a little crispier. The outer crust(my favorite) was crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I’ll stop by this location and/or try one of their other locations in the city for sure.

Great feta and spinach sandwich, slightly pricy. not sure if its overpriced because of the airport? Customer service isn’t the best, but luckily the airport was empty and I didn’t have anywhere to go because my flight was delayed. I had the time to wait. They have a couple local beers on tap for not too much(i think 4.50 a glass?)

Long wait, short line, new and/or clueless female employee working… When finally I sat down to eat my pizza I did not inspect it first… bad choice. 7 bites later I looked down at the slice and noticed a hair. The hair was small, curly, and black which means(to me) that it was either from a face or from inside someones pants. Either way I was really grossed out. I quit eating my pizza and went back to the counter where I quietly alerted the other employee working. He instantly gave me a refund, agreed that it was disgusting, and apologized appropriately. I don’t really think there is a right way to say sorry for something like this, but there is an appropriate way, and he did that. I’m really sad about this hairy situation because the Pizzacato by my old house in Vancouver, WA was great and they have always made great pizza. I cannot say the same for this location. I am only giving a two star review because of the employees proper reaction to my discovery. He was awesome, though his awesomeness is not enough to make me eat at this location again.

Back in the day, this was destination dining for our family. When you have little boys, they tend to go through a long planes, trains and automobiles phase. So for a day trip we’d drive to Portland, take the MAX to PDX, have lunch and then return home. Yep, we’d go to the airport for fun! Years ago, before they built the walkway connecting both terminals(brilliant move!), Pizzacato had large windows that looked directly out to the airplanes and runway, so it was a great spot to grab a slice and enjoy the action. The windows are still there, but it is not quite the same since now you primarily get to wave at travelers walking down the hall and play the«Where do you think they are from?» game. The pizza has always been fine and I particularly liked the sausage and peppers pizza we got on our last trip. But as things change and the airport continues to improve and open more and more restaurants, this place has fallen to the middle of the pack. Happily our trips to the airport these days mean we are actually going somewhere ourselves.

First of all, the usual«I know…» disclaimers: I know that this is food in an airport, and therefore holding really any expectations is foolish. I know that this is fast food pizza, which also should erase any hopes. And I know that this location is a franchise location and therefore probably doesn’t reflect the service at other locations.(This last point I especially know to be true: the PSU location is far superior.) I thought that I might die before paying for my pizza, much less eating it. I just wanted one slice, that’s all. There was one woman behind the counter that frankly wasn’t doing much besides loading up the oven with slices, but she wasn’t doing anything to solve the bottleneck at the cash register, which prevented us from moving really anywhere. After a few minutes, the slices were done, so she put them on paper plates and then sat them next to the oven, and loaded up the next batch. Then, another guy suddenly appeared behind the counter and at the cash register, and yet we still weren’t going anywhere. And there was my slice, cooling its heels(literally) on a paper plate. Tick, tock. Once I looked behind me, I saw the line had grown precipitously. After a few more minutes, I paid for my slice and got my(cold) pizza, but rather than raising a fuss, I decided to be merciful and suffer through it – I didn’t want to cause a riot of hungry pizza cravers waiting like I did. With so many other options for food at PDX, I think I’ll make a different choice next time, sad to say.
