The food and the people here are both absolutely exceptional. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

I tried the Cubano sandwich today. It was awesome. Very fresh ingredients, lot’s of meat. Well worth the price.

I have been going to Phils for three years with my small dog in tow. Today, I was told to remove my small dog from the store and tie her up outside. I am not sure why the change in policy but I will no longer be doing business at Phils. Too bad as I live next door.

Phil’s is a meat market but the FISH is so fresh it practically swims to your house. Brandon is a foodie and he cares about the quality of your meal. It’s a «no frills» little neighborhood market but the emphasis is on quality. There’s a reason why people from across town come here to get their meat and fish. Good sandos too and the bento cart is killer if you’re a meat eater.(You can tell by the long lunch lines). The wine collection is upscale and $$$$ but they know what they are recommending. Nice people, too.

Good good, but, big but. The staff get so flustered that the service goes to shit, especially the lady working the counter, dawn. Terrible. I wouldn’t go there unless you. We’d some decent bbq and what not. But there are plenty of other delis and bbqs to go to that I won’t come back.

I like the hometown feeling and fun-loving ambiance this shops exudes. From always recognizing me(even though I don’t come here regularly and I don’t spend much) to helping me figure out what is appropriate for the meal I wish to create, the staff is extremely helpful and ready to please. Besides that and most importantly, the quality of their meats, fishes and home-made foods just blows me away every time. We have stopped here for a sandwich lunch, sampled the bento box and taken a lovely goose home for Christmas last year(which turned out finger-lickin’ good, if I may say so myself ;0). With Eric as the new owner changes are coming, and I signed up for the ‘Thirsty Thursdays’ the moment I saw the name. Downstairs is a wine cellar waiting nowadays, and I plan to test it out to see how and what they pair. As two chefs reign here(Brandon and Andrea), I am going to be curious to see if they can help me up my game. Better cooking suggestions are a welcome additive in my kitchen!

Great do it all meat market. Meats are of course great but the sandwiches and Bento are great as well. Real deal for many reasons. It is well worth the trip to NW. Highly recommend.

I really really really enjoy this venue. The beef is the business, don’t waste time with others. 1 skewer for $ 7(with rice and sauce), $ 10 for two. You can use a card inside. The smells are free. The staff are all so nice. You can apparently order other food inside but I’m never gonna know because I only have eyes for the meat truck outside.

Amazing to go sandwiches! Even though $ 8 might seem a little pricey for an a la carte sandwich they are huge and piled high with meat! My Reuben sandwich was to die for! Service was very quick and the staff was really nice! Will definitely go here from now on whenever I am craving a good sandwich!

The meat case highlighted Oregon grown beef. We chose a tri tip for grilling. It was fantastic! It wowed our guests. We will definitely return. It was a little higher priced but, fair value and the service is top notch too.

Best Bento in town. FORMTHELINETOTHERIGHTPEOPLE! I’m constantly amazed how CLEAR the direction the line is moving yet people come up and stand at the exit side. I bet the bento guy is sick of asking people to move. I bet these folks have drivers license too. But enough of that. Just get in LINETOTHERIGHT! Both chicken and steak are good. I get both sauces and a side of vegs and on my way. Quick, easy, filling. Nothing fancy, just perfectly grilled chicken and steak on a bed of rice. Check out their deli inside. They have a HUGE selection of sauces, bbq sauces, spices etc. Serious wine selection and some amazing steaks. Imagine that! Cant go wrong at Phils

This place had a good selection of meat but it’s hard to tell whether the quality is any different from your typical whole foods or new seasons. The price seemed steep especially given the meat is «grass fed, grain at the end» for better flavor than fully grass fed. Don’t get me wrong — nice place and friendly staff. I may go back depending on how my lamb skewers turn out. But I guess it just wasn’t what I was looking for when I searched for«butcher.» I am still looking for a place that has the variety of a new seasons but allows me to buy organic/grass fed meat in greater bulk.

This place has some wonderful bento, made with some very high quality meat and ingredients. I’ve been thinking about returning to this place again soon. Great place to get some food when your shopping in the area.

This shop looks quite nice and super clean. They sell dinner/prepared foods in the back that really looked delicious. I was in the hood for free cone dat at Ben & Jerry’s so thought I’d kill some time shopping in here. They are a bit overpriced on some things, and on par with others. I was happily going to use my Oregon Trail card for some meat from their meat counter, but alas they do not accept it. Seems kinds douchey. and will keep them from my business probably even in a wealthy future.

–Review is for the Kabob Stand– The beef skewers are delicious! The chunky pieces of meat is always fresh, flavorful, and tender. 2 skewers for $ 9 with rice is more than plenty for a meal. The man grilling it is always friendly and won’t give you bad/dry skewers. I just wish this place didn’t close so early.

You can buy raw beef bones here for your dog which is cheaper than buying at your local pet food shop. Not to mention you can use those beef marrow bones to make Vietnamese Phở. a Win Win!

It’s not easy to find a good butcher. But I’ve found one at Phil’s. On several occasions now, I’ve been in to purchase meat at Phil’s just before I have guests over. Anytime I want to impress someone with a meal, I go down there to get the meat. And before we go on a camping trip, I always stop by to get some of their double-smoked sausages with 40% bacon. If you haven’t tried them yet, you’re missing out!
