OK for cold sub sandwiches. The bread is good but I came looking for a pastrami sandwich and was really let down. Oh well, I just have to keep looking.

What a great find in the Mt. Scott area!!! The subs are delicious and taste like authentic deli miracles! The owner is one super friendly guy and the prices are fair! I will definitely be coming back to this little gem!

First off, please know that I am a sub addict, and I really appreciate a good sandwich. I have tried many in the Vancouver/Portland area since I moved here almost two years ago. Secondly, I got this sub from Mike’s to go for a midnight snack, had dinner plans elsewhere tonight. The short version is I got this sub, the Italian themed #1 at around 4:00 pm. Went to Gresham, fooled around and its almost 11 pm now, just ate half of this sub. I’m floored by the flavors!!! My favorite sub by far! I’m so happy I spotted this place while picking up atv parts next-door. So this sammitch rolled around the backseat for close to seven hours, and it is the best ive had! Not dry, but not soggy at all. I can’t wait to dine in there and have it fresh! Bento smelled awesome too BTW, and Mike was a really cool dude. Definitely will return, over and over again.

So, like usual. I tend to visit a restaurant a few times before writing up anything about it. I like submarine sandwiches. I have a Subway(aka Sub Standard) near by my home, as well as Jersey Mikes, and Jimmy Johns. The Sub Factory is the furthest away, but it is my choice now for Sub sandwiches. In the Goldie Locks method of judgments, here is why I think The Sub Factory is superior. Bread: Jersey Mike’s too big, Subway too fake, Jimmy Johns, too dense, Sub Factory, ah just right, light but with some chewiness. No too big of a roll, so it doesn’t feel like your eating all bread. Meat: Subway, looks and tastes cheap, Jimmy Johns is pretty decent, Jersey Mikes and Sub Factory both slice to order, and are close on quality. Veggies: Everyone is pretty close here. I have noted that the tomatoes from Sub Factory are sliced with more care. I never have gotten a tomato slice with part with stem or other such sloppy prep. Looking at you Subway. Cheese: Subway offers either knock off Kraft American, or knock off Kraft American without the orange color. Everyone else has decent cheese. This location is store one of one; the guys that work here care about their products. This is not a franchise where the owner drops by now and again. That means something to me.

Another swing and a miss in search of a decent liquor store/deli/corner market sandwiches. This town is a sandwich desert in that respect. Every place has«everything house made», tomato jam covered $ 12 sandwiches on Ciabatta that do NOT fill the need for an enormous basic Italian or turkey sub(Lardo, I still think you suck). The alternative is this place… which isn’t very good. It is so sad that Jersey Mike’s makes the best subs in town. Very, very sad.

I’ve been here now twice and had consistently good subs. The meat is sliced as you watch and the bread is soft without getting soggy. There is nothing flashy or hip about this spot. The subs are just good comfort food in which you get exactly what you expect.

This sandwich shop is right in the hood/ghetto. It is a «diamond in the rough.» Sandwiches are some of the best subs in town. I love the bread it tastes so fresh. If you want a good sub I highly recommend you visit this place and order a sub sandwich.

Always fresh ingredients and bread and a huge selection of custom sub sandwiches. This family owned business business is a breath of fresh air in SE Portland. Keep up the great work!

AMAZING service!!! Favorite quick lunch and amazing combo bento. The sandwiches are perfectly made with fresh sliced deli style meats and toppings enough to please any eaters inner Dagwood! I get the junkyard personally with a combo bento and extra rice. 10 of 10 recommended

My go-to sub spot. Ill choose these sub’s over subway any day. They also serve bento and salads. Even breakfast! Mike and Sophia the owner are very nice and they even remember what I order every time. I recommend the tuna with avocado if you’re a tuna fan

I agree with all of the other 5 star reviewers. I ordered No. 16 «The Wrecker». Portions here are no joke and a lot better value than any of the franchizzzy overly priced places. I had to wrap up half of it to go. These sandwiches are d-lish! The bread, Super fresh and if bread could melt in your mouth, this stuff would fit in that category.(they also have whole wheat) The ingredients– Fresh and are of good quality. Location is in a not so nice part of town, but if you can get past that then go there and enjoy what they have to offer. Owners are super friendly as well.

I drive way out of my way to get sandwiches here and always recommend it. It reminds me of the old school sub shops that used to be around before everything was a Subway. Fresh ingredients, awesome bread, huuuuuge portions and low prices. The best.

Just what I wanted! It’s located in a crappy little strip mall/convenient store parking lot but it’s very clean and respectable on the inside. The sandwiches are classic subs on fresh white bread. The meats and cheeses are sliced as you order and the veggie all taste fresh. It’s not Subway, Jimmy Johns etc… just a classic style sub sandwich(much better). Prices seem reasonable and portions are great(full subs range from $ 5.95-$ 7.50). The staff seems very friendly and it appears there are lots of regulars. They also have bento and serve breakfast sandwiches and biscuits n gravy. I will definitely be back…

For a mom and pop sandwich shop these guys make a great sandwich and provide honest service. Haven’t tried the Asian dishes yet but they seem to be popular.

So this time we got a pastrami & salami and Turkey & bacon. I don’t think there will be anything we don’t like here. We got it to go this time and by the time we got home it was still fresh and not at all soggy.
