We had a small reception at Oliver’s after my uncle’s funeral at Willamette National Cemetery. Oliver’s was perfect! They arranged the tables for our party of 25, and we had platters of various breakfast and lunch items. The place was quite open, and it was nice for every one to visit with each other. The food was really good and the staff was very helpful. The cost was very, very reasonable. It was very convenient and we were all very happy with the arrangements. Thank you to Oliver’s !

This was my first visit and I was very impressed. The food was really reasonably priced, fresh and delicious and everything was on point with timing. Candace was my server and she was really friendly. Not only with me, but I saw her engaging with the other patrons and even though she shared with me that she was new, she fit right in and was welcoming and a true sweetheart. There are some places where you feel like the people working there are nice, but that they are just showing you their work«mask». I didn’t get that from her, I felt like she just was in the moment and genuinely was happy with her work day, not fake at all. I had been searching all over for a place that can make a good cinnamon roll and finally FOUNDIT! OMG, it was to die for. Also, I don’t drink, but noticed that they have $ 10 mimosas that are BOTTOMLESS! Why didn’t I know about this back when I used to drink? I’ll definitely be back with some girlfriends who do, soon. This area itself hasn’t always been the most desirable, but due to places like this, it is starting to classy up. I would highly recommend this place. I am not a kid person, but a couple came in with their 3ish year old and Candace was great with him and he was given something to color, so for all you breeders, you will like this place for that reason too.

The waitress was great! Knows how to treat kids. Micky shaped pancakes with chocolate chip smiley face. $ 10 bottomless mimosas for the big people. Kids plates $ 5. Still new enough that not crowded. Huge portions.

Nice atmosphere, all day breakfast, and great Sunday special, stuffed French toast(cream cheese and berries).

Things have changed. Wait staff is new and gets your order wrong regularly. Bacon is cooked to a lifeless bark, eggs are flat and Cisco like, and saddest of all the signature sausage patties are swimming in sugar instead of spice. The limited menu says it all, mediocre is the new norm.

The Sunday special of berry French toast is the best I’ve had. It is different than traditional French toast. I found it similar to a Crape filling and topping, between French toast. Yum! Will have again and again and again. Thanks to Walt, my waiter, for recommending it.

How do you write an obituary for a beloved restaurant? A couple of years back I walked into a family friendly small restaurant for breakfast. It was impressive in today’s overcrowded, turn the tables over, get um in and out restaurant world. The previous owners were interested in the dining experience of the customer. Their food was fresh and well prepared. Biscuits made daily as well as fresh cinnamon rolls. All very good. Breads although not made on site were artisan and good for breakfast and lunch. I would frequent Olivers at least twice a week never being disappointed. Then I noticed a new presence behind the counter. I asked my favorite waitress if someone was going to purchase my beloved breakfast stop. Although I knew the answer, she confirmed what I knew. Her voice was upbeat but her expression was not. Sadly she is no longer there and with her went the good food. I first noticed the lack of the artisan breads. Replaced with your standard loaf sourdough. I am sure in an effort for the new owners to save a little money. The next casualty was the family atmosphere had to be compromised by the need for an alcohol license to be able to serve the bottomless mimosa on Sunday. The young crowd must love it. But it’s the older crowd that possess the bulk of the money. So there in lies the rub. As the new owner tries new things(open for dinner instead of just breakfast and lunch) quality begins to slip. The new wait staff is less attentive and I don’t mean that on the first day. I am saying throughout my last trip there was 9÷26… Food quality is very low and has been delivered cold on more than one occasion. From what I understood this favorite of mine was saved from being a «hot pot» eating establishment. It may have been better off. So with heavy heart and empty stomach I say good bye to Olivers and begin my search for a new weekend breakfast place.

Great food, fast! Try the chicken fried steak if they have it! The mimosas are good too!

Deliciously good breakfast! I asked if the Eggs Benedict were pretty darn good and I appreciated how the waiter was honest in saying he really didn’t know how to compare them to others. Now they were pretty darn good, although not the best. My table party thought everything was wonderful! The high quality of the food, good service, location away from overly trendy neighborhoods, and the very short wait on a late Sunday morning will definitely entice me to make this a regular breakfast place. Thanks!

There’s been a change of ownership and the quality has gone downhill drastically. They’ve replaced pretty much all of the staff, including the talented lead cook and the awesome waitstaff. One of the cooks likes to belittle staff right in front of customers. My last meal was a Greek scramble. The eggs were burnt, the onions were both burnt and undercooked. There was no salt/seasoning. The hashbrowns were also soggy and the English muffin was stale. I had to wipe residue and food particles off all my utensils, and my subpar coffee also came in a dirty cup.

About 6 months ago I would’ve given this place 4 stars. Our server was sweet but not great at her job. The biggest con was that even though there were only a few other customers in the restaurant, our server never came to check on us during so we had to approach the counter for refills on coffee, more syrup and more menus. They have a new smaller breakfast menu now even though they are only open for breakfast and lunch. I love the bacon pancakes. The biscuits and gravy were skimpy and came w/a tiny portion of scrambled egg and one little sausage patty. Probably won’t go back unless I’m really craving bacon pancakes.

We were running an errand by Happy Valley and checked Help for places to go for brunch. Oliver’s Café got a four-star rating out of 72 so, we came here. By the time we sat down and get our food, it took them 40 minutes. I ordered the veggie omelette and substituted with green bell peppers with spinach. My husband got the veggie breakfast burrito with avocado. The food was alright. Our waiter told us that the owner did not expect to have that many customers so it was only him and the owner were waiting tables. That explained the long wait and they haven’t bus the tables. Their restroom though is clean. I don’t think we’ll go back here again even if we’re in the neighborhood.

Called by name when I came in(from the second time). Kind and hard working folks serving and cooking up good food. Easy access and parking once you spot it, but easy to miss of you’re hauling tail up Foster(hint: it’s on the North side of the street just West of the 205 and right past the Foster/92nd mixer). Talk to the staff — they’re excited to help you pick stuff out and even go off menu if you like something a certain way — the Mai Special, haha!!! Glad I found them and hope to be a regular.

Fantastic food. Wonderful coffee. Awesome baked goods! And the cooks knows how to cook eggs properly!!!(Sorry it’s a huge pet peeve when my poached eggs are hard.) Portions are large, and the prices are fair. Definitely worth the money. Very clean establishment and friendly service. I recommend the breakfast sandwich or the biscuits and gravy.

HOLYSNAPS. This was the best breakfast I’ve had in awhile. We both ordered something breakfasty with an extra bacon pancake on the side. I gobbled everything down so fast. Cinnamon butter is an easy idea but something I’ve literally never thought of. Cinnamon toast, cinnamon in coffee but cinnamon butter? It’s a bit off the grid but come check it out before it’s an hour wait. It’s that good and I feel it’s inevitable. Private parking lot in the back. If you get to 92nd, you’ve gone too far. It’s in the newer strip mall with the nail salon(? I think is what else is there?). Staff was friendly but don’t go when you’re in a hurry. Not sure if it’s a new restaurant but it seemed like they were working out some kinks, training, etc. Still worth it!

I have to downgrade my review of this neighborhood restaurant based on our experience this morning. I wish I could give 3 ½ stars. On the positive side, our biscuits were fresh and flaky, with gravy and served as a sandwich. My hash browns were nicely cooked with just enough crunchiness. Everything else was average, from the coffee, to the gravy and my sandwich. Sometimes when we are served food that is a little shy of seasoning, or a memorable flavor, I wonder if it’s because they don’t want to offend some patrons. This was our experience this morning. When we were served we had to remind them about the poached egg that had been asked for on the side. It came after a bit, but was not allowed to drain on a paper towel before being served, so there was water in the cup it was served in. That extra 10 seconds to dry the egg would have been appreciated. They were not swamped with customers but there was a steady stream coming in while we ate. We will be back with the hopes that the flavor and service improves.

The food was delicious. I ordered the meat lovers skillet but it was more like potato lovers skillet. It had more potatoes than meat but it was still really good. The biscuits are freshly made and melt in your mouth delish. The portions are big and filling. The only down side was our server, she took a while before she came by and took our order. She took too long to bring our check that after 10 minutes, I gave up and went up front for it and paid. And it wasn’t even busy this morning…

Burnt toast, worst Reuben my wife has ever had. Server never came back to check on us from when food was served until after we were done even though there were only two other tables. Cute place, substandard food.
