I have eaten here three times and two of them my girlfriend and I left sick. Shame on us for going a third time. I had to dispute the charges with my bank to get a refund. They didn’t seem to really care about me as a customer. I will never return here.

Been a year or so since last year, and things are going strong. Excellent burgers and other sandwiches, and the first place I had totchos. You walk down into the place. so a snuggly feel to it, with plenty of light. Always prefer when brewpubs have guest taps; oaks bottom doesn’t, but with 10 or so of their own, no problem. I had a ’13 Tavern Rat and C-sons Greetings hoppy Christmas. Also a fan of their LSD(lompoc special draft.) Excellent, good-humored service.

My review is past due but I wanted to thank Lauren, our server. We had a friend pass away and we wanted to go somewhere as a group to talk and be together. The patio in the back was perfect. But the best thing was our server Lauren. She wrote a very nice note on our receipt after we paid our bill and even took off a percentage of the total. Doesn’t get any better than that! Thank you again!

Overall, Oaks Bottom Pub is a nice place with a good selection of beer from Lompac Brewery. They have a couple big screen TVs in the main dining room and the menu is pretty much what you’d expect from a brew pub. if not, a little more underwhelming. I had the Oaks Bottom Burger. and it was okay. a bit dry. but passable. The owners do their best with the layout of the space… however the once open back patio space is now totally closed and instead of being a great place to sit on a nice sunny day, its resembles more of a storage area or someones barn. This was a real disappointment and that with the underwhelming food is why I’m giving it a 3-star. But, I will be back. My wife loved the mahi mahi Po Boy sandwich and the staff was very nice. so we will give it another shot another time.

Enjoyed dinner(mac and cheese) as well as beers here tonight. The place was packed but we still got attentive service from Matteo. Will be back for some totchos!

Come on Oaks Bottom — you can do better! As a resident in Sellwood I was thoroughly disappointed by our visit. The waiter was not attentive or apologetic. First I clearly stated my son had a gluten allergy and the kitchen prepared a gluten meal. It took an extra 20 minutes to correct the mistake and then the kids never got lemonade which they stated not once but twice. The waiters response was«I didn’t hear you»…he never said I am sorry .he never said let me get them some drinks even though dinner is over. Well Oaks Bottom can you hear me now? Can you hear your customers dissatisfaction now? I would suggest you put your waiters through common sense 1:1. It doesn’t take high intelligence to do the right thing –it just takes the ability to listen and comprehend the frustration your customers. I doubt that you’ll pay attention to this either!

Sunday night disaster! Cook staff completely incompetent. Worse burgers in history. Sorry, you lost us as customers. Was here once before and it was great, tonight was a deal killer. Owners of Oaks Bottom — fire your Sunday cook staff. They screwed up 2 burgers! Not rocket science!

Can be crowded and slow on weekends, but the covered patio is a relaxing place to enjoy a local brew and great pub food. Their burger and fries is delicious!

I realize a pub isn’t 5 star dining, but this place does what a pub should do and does it well. Great food, good brew, and a knowledgeable friendly girl named Jill steering us toward the right food and drink choices. Definitely check this place out if you’re in the area.

Great food! We had the Brie burger which could have used a little more Brie on it, but it was still good! The waitress was pretty busy, but can’t blame her since it was Friday night. Overall good experience and we will be back!

Usually have an ok experience, but the guys working need to step up in the customer service department. Waiting in PDX is acceptable, but not being acknowledged when standing in front of a server; not ok… even ten minutes later.

There are two tables out front which was woefully insufficient this hot day. The inside was a bit too warm but not uncomfortable. There were a couple of open tables – seat yourself. An awesomely friendly waiter showed up with menus quickly. He explained the seasonal brews on tap and did a decent job recalling IBUs for me. Tried the Enigma and the Dagda, both were good, well balanced beers served up cold. Ordered small Totchos(nachos made with tots) which were absolutely and deliciously bad for me but oh so yum. And the Oaks Bottom Salad which was very fresh and packed full of flavor. In a nutshell: The beer was good, the food was great, the service was stellar, and the community feel in the joint is nice. Plus $ 2.50 pints on Mondays!

The food here is always great. Today I ordered the Italian dip and my son had the Mahi Mahi fish and chips. Both were excellent. Servers are friendly and attentive.

The back patio is terrific. Great mixed drinks as well as beers. I love the number of vegetarian options and it’s nice that there are tv’s to catch up on the score of whatever game is on. Excellent pub style place to walk to in the sellwood-moreland area.

Great food! Great service! I love this hole in the wall place in Sellwood. They have all I need for a date with me tv, paper, good seating, occasionally a cute waitress. Today the boy is good enough. A classic RC cola is my beverage of choice with a bacon burger and tots

This pub has the best burgers ever! The chèvre burger or the brie burger are my favorites. A laid-back pub atmosphere and an awesome selection of local brews. Good music and convenient location. Staff also super helpful. Highly recommend! Also: I really don’t understand the negative reviews of this place… it is a pub, it feels like a pub. In a good way. The food is a good deal better than Laurelwood Brewpub around the corner. The staff has always been very attentive. My husband and I live within walking distance and have been here many times over the last year.

What used to be… Very unfortunate how this place is running these days. I used to go here at least a few times a month, but I’ll make it a rare exception now. It’s gotten more expensive, and the food quality is going downhill. Oaks Bottom still has the best deal on pints, $ 2.50 on Miser Mondays, all day. It used to bring me and several friends in but there are just better options now. The main trouble is that everything I’ve ordered lately seems to be over cooked, greasy, and with no love put in. The mac n’ cheese used to be a favorite, but the burnt top and under seasoned filling wasn’t particularly pleasing. Also used to enjoy the veggie burgers, but the last one just fell apart and squished along with the bun. It just feels like the food is being made cheaper or something and quality control has taken a hit. There are some great upsides. I’ve always had great service, and I feel they keep the dining area clean. This pub would still keep a 3 star review from me, but cleanliness takes a big dive when I use the restroom and pass by the kitchen. I know it simply cannot be perfectly clean when you have a tight space and lots of customers, but I just can’t help but be a bit grossed out walking by. Maybe it’s just me. Overall this is still a great neighborhood pub, and on occasion I’ll still go. However I think ordering any more food is out for me. If the standards improve and a better attitude put back in the kitchen, I’ll give it another go. Keep at it Oaks Bottom, I’m pulling for ya!

I tried their LSD stout; Delicious. Their grilled veggie salad; Delicious. Their hummus plate; Delicious. I’d like to come back for a taster tray of all their beers. Friendly, quick service and good food, beer, and atmosphere. What more could you want in a local public house? $ 2.50 pints on Mondays for their Lompoc drafts.
