this is the worst establishment I’ve ever been too. They have decent sushi and everything else sucks. Their ceilings are filthy, their bathrooms are filthy, the menus and tables are always dirty and sticky. The manager obviously doesn’t do a good job being a manager. I’ve never seen such a sloppy place. I’ve been a regular at this location for 2 years. Only liking the sushi and nothing else.

Fantastic sushi. Always has my favorites on the belt. My only complaint is the service.

The manager of this place needs to get it together. This Sushi Land is inferior compared with the other locations in Clackamas, Downtown Portland, NE Portland, and Beaverton(in that order). They do not have enough soy sauce and unagi sauce bottles to supply every table. That boggles my mind. Why is there a lack of condiment containers? Also, they put one small plate out(for sauces) every other seat. Other Sushi Land locations have multiple small plates between every seat. Dear manager, please do not skimp your employees and patrons sauce bottles and small plates! Bless the hearts of the workers here; they try their best, but they are clearly short staffed. There is too much work for only two people running around during dinner time. The sushi chefs are always super nice and willing to take custom orders. There is one gentleman behind the counter who was very observant and attentive. I was just eating my seaweed salad looking up(to see when I can get the attention of a waitress(hostess?) to get a unagi sauce bottle). I wanted to be patient and didn’t say anything, but he knew something was up because he asked me if everything was okay. I told him I needed unagi sauce and he went and picked one up from another table for me right away. The price of this place makes up for what it lacks. Cheap sushi for decent quality. I can eat to my contentment without breaking the bank as I usually would with typical sushi restaurants of higher quality and ambiance. You get what you pay for. However, I think the seaweed salad should only be $ 1. You don’t get very much for $ 1.50. I would come here again because it’s close to home. I’m willing to deal with the lack of supplies and hectic service to get affordable sushi from kind sushi chefs.

I had the opposite experience at this place than the one in Clackamas. These folks were nice and got our order on time and during the lunch rush too. The Clackamas so call chef got rid of our ticket because we dared to order food when we sat down. Not my problem if you don’t plan for prep time.

Servers have good service and attentive. Sushi chefs are the ones with problems. It takes a long time for them to make a special order of sushi for you, and the conveyer belt is filled with only a few dishes of sushi… much less than other sushi land locations where you can just grab, eat, and go.

I grew up eating at Sushi Land. My usual plates are crab salad, California roll, seared salmon, and spicy scallop. This location, however, has fried salmon belly and fried salmon collar — one of my favorites. Our wait wasn’t too long, but service is slow due to the lack of people. The sushi chefs are attentive and responded quickly when we wanted to order sushi. The salmon belly was much larger than we expected, and the spicy scallops never disappoint. Near the end of our meal though, the conveyer belt was half empty(half full?). If you don’t need to eat special rolls(spider, rainbow, etc.), sushi land is cheaper than sushi hana. My family likes nigiri sushi, so we always come here.

Terrible Service. First we were greeted by a waitress who seems like she did not want to work at all. After ordering some food, Asian sushi man grabbed seared salmon off the track which was COLD. When we asked to make a new one, he got annoyed and then just torched those cold sushi. Later we figured out he was a manager and his name was Masato. If you guys still decide to eat here after reading this post, then don’t ask him for anything because he will get PISSED.

Best value I have found for taste vs price. I can understand some of the reviews about service, but if you want great service it would cost more. I recommend ordering directly form the chefs. Ask them what is good today. Toro or fatty fish is often not on the menu but available. There are also a few special items like the dragon roll that run $ 6, but these are often $ 10 to $ 13 at other sushi restaurants. Another hidden gem is most of the items they have to cook from udon to calamari. These are served up fresh and at a great price for smaller portions. Image that everyone working there there is making minimum wage and would rather be at home relaxing, which might not be too far from the truth. Have a little fun with them and your meal will taste better. The management/owners need to address all the other less positive feedback or it will hurt their business.

They have good food at reasonable prices, but their customer service is horrid. We’ve been there every Saturday for 3 months, and today was our final day. We got there at 3PM, the restaurant was very quiet, yet we still received no service for our drink and soup order, until we finally complained to one of the chefs. The chef asked the server to get us our drinks, but she decided that finishing up putting the napkins out on the counters in an empty restaurant was more important than serving the customers, even though we’d been waiting more than 10 minutes. Unfortunately this is the norm, and we will not return.

Gross! You couldn’t pay me to eat here again. Everything in this place was filthy. The menu at the table was sticky, stained, and falling apart. Many sushi train items didn’t even have covers. Ample staff yet none of them appeared to be doing much work. Filthy tables went without cleaning but that’s because the staff were all standing around loudly bad mouthing their jobs to the sushi chefs. Apparently a certain employee farts a lot which is why the waitress didn’t want to be a chef. It was like being forced to endure a bad soap opera about bodily functions. Not real appetizing or professional. Since the staff were busy loudly complaining about their jobs and personal lives to the chefs it took forever to get orders out. We placed an order for a roll and the octopus dumplings right when we sat down and it still took 20 minutes to get the roll and the dumplings, which I assumed were forgotten, came out with the check. The dumplings were doughy and not even fully cooked. For the length of time it took to get the dumplings(without any explanation) I would have thought they’d be at least cooked or overcooked not raw. This place is just bad. For as horrible and filthy as it was when I was there on what appeared to be a slow mid-week mid-afternoon day, I can’t imagine how much worse it is when it’s busy. Run! Take your chopsticks and run from this place!

I used to frequent this Sushiland a few years ago as it was close to my school at the time. After nothing but positive experiences, and not being here for a very long time I decided to try it again since I was in this area. HORRIBLE decision. Not only was the service terrible, they argued with me when I said they made a mistake on my order. Seriously, who cares what’s it is called just make it! Do not waste your time.

Today’s experience was very bad. I thought some of the Sushi was sitting out there too long and got kind of old and soggy(tempera sushi). I used to like eating here, but I wish they had more to choose from. I will probably stick with Sushi Hana.

There’s nothing positive I could come up with for this review. I tried, I promise. 1 — Edamame $ 1.00 1 — Sake Nigiri $ 1.50 1 — California Roll $ 1.50 1 — Tamago Tempura $ 1.00 (we gave up after this) The sushi is no where close to even being mediocre. The nigiri is warmer than room temp which it shouldn’t even be near to room temp. I gagged a little unintentionally. The rice was dried out from being on the belts for way too long. The wait service is non-existent. When we asked for the bill she wrote it up and(lightly) tossed it on the table and walked away. Interesting experience to say the least, but now we know. Scratched this one off the list. Best of luck to the next person.(Oops. I guess not they just got up and walked out. this really just happened.) I also forgot to mention you are to seat yourself«at a non-dirty» space per their sign, and be prepared to ask for a sauce dish if you want one because they don’t keep them at the tables. Cheers!

I used to come here a long time ago, but after today’s visit I will never ever come here again. I was already extremely dissatisfied with the menu’s limited selection of sushi. Some of the sushi was good, but even so the portion was smaller than average. Most of the other sushi was quite terrible. Aside from the food, the service was shit. A male server came to us asking what we wanted to drink and we replied with water… waited 10 minutes later with no water and later to be asked again about what drinks we want? Only till the third lady came we finally got water, but from the same guy from the beginning. He pretended like he did not know anything and gave us attitude. Very unprofessional of him and rude.

This Sushi Land in particular is just the best, I can’t get enough of it. If you’re new to this place or you want to try something new these are my favorites that I order every time. The first is the kitsune udon. I have tried udon at full blown sit down Japanese restaurants and none of them are as good as the udon here(I like my noodles to have more ‘chew’ to them, not a fan of mush noodles). The second is seared salmon nigiri. Without fail I order 2 – 3 orders every time I’m here, I love it! Next I would try the eggplant tempura nigiri, krab stick tempura nigiri, and/or tamago tempura nigiri. The eggplant one comes with a wasabi mayo, which I really like. Sometimes I remove some of the excess wasabi mayo so it’s not so overpowering(which my boyfriend think I’m crazy for doing). The krab stick tempura doesn’t come with a sauce but I like eating it plain or dipping it in the teriyaki sauce they provide. The tamago tempura is essentially egg tumpura on rice with green onion and teriyaki sprinkled on top. The inari, house rolls, and California rolls are all good as well. I can’t remember the name of it but they also have a tempura eel roll of sorts that was so good but I’ve only seen it once. I’ve never gone wrong with this Sushi Land, I love it. I’ve been coming here since they opened and I’m glad they’ve kept things the same all these years.

Vegetarian Review Only: This is my first time to come back to this place since I became a vegetarian. I had tofu tempura rolls, seaweed sushi, tofu pockets, and veggie spring rolls. They actually tasted good. I didn’t really need that much of service because all the condiments(soy sauce, ginger, wasabi) are in front of you. I didn’t like that the wasabi and the ginger are communal because other customers can be unsanitary. A lot of their sushi are not covered so if you are a germaphobe, this could be a deal breaker for you. Their miso soup is not vegetarian so fyi to vegetarians and vegans.

I’ve always loved sushiland it’s one of my favorite places for conveyor belt sushi for over 10 years. I almost always order from the chef’s. Everything is freshly made, tasty and cheap. Not the best sushi but has never failed to curb my sushi cravings when I’m on a tight budget. This is my comfort food and my splurge for variety without breaking the bank. Nice to hang out with friends in a casual atmosphere. Workers are always pretty friendly and will come over to take your order when you flag them down. I think this one is one of the fancier better ones since the restaurant seems cleaner.

I’ve been a bit addicted as of late. This place is my new favorite sushi place. Great value for conveyor belt sushi. It can get a little crowded at times and the service can suffer a little bit. Usually though, the more business it has, the more of your favorites are on the belt. I really like the special ones that they have. Creative and many times delicious. The season on the rice is just right. Not too vinegary, but not bland either. Please not that not all Marinepolis are created equal. Some are far inferior.

I used to work across the street years ago and loved this place. Sadly, things have changed. I recognized the same owner but things have gone downhill. I walk in and it was not very busy, yet there were dirty plates everywhere. Not one spot was cleaned while I was there. There wasn’t much on the track except a few things that looked old and only 2 I liked(I am not picky) so I ordered only 2 things from them. After waiting 10 min I found a few things to eat off the track(I was starving but now wish I hadn’t). At 20 min I started to wonder how one roll takes so long? I could have steak by now and it’s dead in here. I sat there and waited and waited. At 30 minutes my sushi finally came and I said no thank you I have to leave. They just walked away. Finally I just counted up my total and left cash on the table and left. No one said a word as I walked out. It was dirty in there and the staff wasn’t very helpful. My sauces were empty and she groaned when I asked her to get me one that had some in it. This place used to be great, what happened to you Sushiland? I won’t be back sadly.

It’s a mediocre budget sushi place located in one of the most overcrowded parking lots in Bridgeport. Parking in that area, even during off-meal hours, is usually a nightmare. The food, primarily served up through the neatly organized conveyor belt, was a solid 3 stars(«edible»). The service there was friendly, but not very attentive. Getting drink refills were a challenge, even though the place wasn’t busy at all. Cleanliness was a bit of an issue. Counters were wiped down but it was still sticky. I think the biggest turnoff for me was the community ginger and wasabi. It felt unsanitary as I imagined customers taking the wasabi spoon and scraping it against the raw fish and putting the contaminated spoon back. Despite all this negativity, the price was really good. I suspect that’s what makes this place so popular. However, when it comes to consuming raw fish, I would rather pay a little more and get food where the freshness is uncontested. I will not be returning here. Food: 3 Service: 3 Value: 5 Ambiance: 2 TL;DR: Great low prices, but you get what you pay for
