I’ve been going to Mae’s for several years and she’s so amazing. She has an excellent technique in which she gives me the same quality haircut EVERY TIME!!! I ask for a fade zero to 1 on the sides and back. AMAZING!!! EXCELLENT!!!

Mae has been cutting my hair for 16 years now. She is super friendly and I always leave with a perfect haircut. I don’t know what I will do when she decides to retire. When she does, hopefully I just go bald. I love to support my local businesses in the Woodstock neighborhood and I have no problems supporting Mae’s or letting my friends know of her great service. I even took my little girl for her first ever haircut and Mae’s. Just go once and she will remember you the next time you stop in.

Truly a classic, old school barbershop. Opened back in the late 40s, this place has been cutting men’s hair for as long as I can remember. Once known as Buck’s Barbershop, Mae took over the establishment in 1996 and has been cutting my hair ever since. Yes, I have tried others but no one beats her skill, prices, and great personality.

I have been getting my hair cut at Mae’s for almost 4 years now. As the other reviewer pointed out, she does indeed always remember you. But more than that, she knows how to cut hair. One time in the last few years I caved and went to a Bishops for a cut (no longer living in the Woodstock area) and they managed to do such an abysmal job (at the simple task of taking off a set length of hair all around) that I went straight to Mae’s the next day to get it touched up. To say nothing of the fact that they charge twice as much as she does.
Needless to say, I won’t make that mistake again.

Mae may not be the best barber in town, she may not be the best barber on her block, but she’s got the best personality around and she’s your quintessential neighborhood barber. The last time I got a cut was over here. It’s best to know what you want before coming here, mostly because she doesn’t like anybody wasting her time with random style questions. Outside of that, the best time to come is when she’s got cartoons on and not a whole lot of customers. Prices aren’t bad but people usually pay more since she’s got cute kids. Even 3yrs later she still remembers folks.
