I know it’s a pie place, but they have the best soup in downtown Portland. Their soups are not out of a can. They’re yummy and fresh and often unusual. I’m so sick of boring tomato soup everywhere. They find new flavors. Plus you can get a yummy biscuit on the side.

How long does it take to put butter on a biscuit? We waited for over 15 minutes just for that simple task. This place has almost a five star rating; I wonder why?! Literally a hole in the wall. Very disappointing and I only tried it because of the reviews. The product was nothing special. Instead of jam for my biscuit; I was given a liquidly strawberry sauce that was pure sugar. It wasn’t very good at all. If you crave a biscuit– go to pine state. If you want quick service, don’t come here! It’s like they were so stoned, moving in slow motion.

Always delicious! I would like to say that I have tried every flavor of quiche, but Laurette Jeans always has tasty new flavors. Healthy and yummy varieties(today I had asparagus and goat cheese). I highly recommend getting a side salad with a slide of warm quiche. Also, the chocolate ganache brownie with Carmel is AMAZING! But it is so big, definitely a special occasion dessert!

Tiny shop with a little less pie selection than the Division location. Staff are as pleasant and baked goods just as amazing. — Blackberry Raspberry Streusel($ 4.50): good balance of sweet and tart, buttery and sugary streusel. Great slice of pie — Chocolate Chip Cookie($ 1.50): chewy and chunks of chocolate throughout. This cookie would be out of this world with a higher percent cacao chocolate. Tip: they sell single candles if you need one for a birthday pie!

I bought a whole strawberry shortcake pie to bring to a friend’s. It was fabulous. Everyone was very impressed with the pie. And the service was also great. Only issue was the price but I have no idea what a whole pie typically costs.

I love their stuff. Great thing about them is that they’re not overburdened with sugar like some places have their bakery items. Love their Rugelachs(a little pricey though)

I knew should have never tried this place. Tastiest biscuit with jam and butter I’ve ever had. Quaint tiny place, very friendly service. Now I have to pop in there regularly for my fix. There goes the waistline…

If you’re in downtown near Burnside and you’re craving for baked crust pastries, this is the place to check out. They have a variety of baked goods from pies, cookies, cakes to quiche. This place is near my work and is evil, since I stare at this place all day every day. Their pies are delicious! They do their crust right. Get a stamp card!

The pies and pastries here are definitely worth stopping in for! Everything is fresh and there’s a couple tables outside where you can enjoy your food and pleasant weather. I’m a bit of a stickler for pie crust, but I can honestly say that they meet my ridiculous standards and I will for sure be back the next time I’m in Portland.

Tiny shop located on the ground floor of a parking garage… and from there it only gets better. Good coffee, fine selection of quiches, and one of the best homemade scones I’ve ever had. A great place to grab a to go coffee and nibble if staying in the area.

Walked by this place after grabbing lunch at Bunk and it was super cute with amazing looking pastries/pies so decided to give it a shot. I got 2 slices of pie to share– Salted Pecan and Honey Hazelnut. I will say that the crust on the pie was amazingly flakey and delicious… and the Honey Hazelnut was good. However, I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the Salted Pecan pie. It tasted bitter and like it had too much molasses or dark corn syrup. It was one of the worse Pecan pies I’ve ever had and I am a huge Pecan pie fan. Neither me nor my husband couldn’t bring ourselves to finish it. Definitely one star for the Pecan Pie, the Honey Hazelnut was good(so for that, I give the place 2 stars), but it was not enough to repair the damage done to my tastebuds. It was very disappointing and I doubt we will be coming back when there are so many other great bakeries with good pie in Portland.

Hands down the best pie in town! It all starts with the crust and it’s the most crustiest(in a good way), flakiest, butteriest container for some all around pie time goodness! So far, I’ve had the chess pie(which is like a chocolate custard), the honey pie, which is pretty much just that… holy sugar bomb. I totally recommend getting a latte or even a mocha which will help cut the sweetness of the pie. I’ve also tried the banana cream pie which has flecks of vanilla in the filling. YUMTASTIC! The whipped cream frosting has a wonderful subtle vanilla flavor that’s not overwhelming. Another thing that’s a plus about it, they have almond milk, and they don’t charge your face off for it. So that means I get to have hot chocolates! Heck yea! Plus it’s just a few steps from my job, so I make it a point to go there at least once a week for my break time. Okay, I’m lying, at least 3xs/week. Even if you don’t want a pie, their biscuits are phenomenal. The crust is a must and so much more!

So this lovely little spot sits on SW6th next to Bunk and a parking garage. It’s just a small walk in stop off. They serve up Water Ave coffee and a good latte. When you stop in make sure to pick up a biscuit sandwich. I really enjoy the biscuit. It’s got those crunchy peaks but still so fluffy and soft inside. I wish there was more tomato jam on the sandwich but the biscuit hardly needs it. They even serve up biscuits and gravy out of this place. The biscuits and gravy were good but not for me. I can’t tell what sets the gravy apart from country gravy but there’s something so not for me. I did enjoy a slice of salted pecan pie. The filling of pecan was light with a hint of sea salt dusting the top. I did see they have a punch card for buy 10 slices and get one free. Although at $ 4.50 a slice and so many other sweet tooth options around I may stick to biscuits and coffee.

I love this little closet of a bakery. Everyone is extremely attentive and nice. The feeling is one of a welcoming home. I haven’t tried everything yet but I’ll definitely be looking to eat everything they have. :)

This may be the best latte I’ve had in Portland. Certainly, being served in a friendly, personal manner helps(never again, Public Domain. Only if I’m desperate, Stumptown). The folks inside are awesome. The baked goods look astounding, and I can never try them or know. I am already fat and trying to lose. I need not know of more awesomeness. The latte… I normally add a couple packets of fake sugar to my drinks, but this is so delightful, even without sweetener. The foam. So tasty. I will be back, teeny coffee shop. You are wonderful, as are your people.

Grandma LJ from Idaho, you’ve got skills!!! Legit baking prowess here… I would eat up the entire display case and pay for it later. A better pastry or pie crust I have not had, in a long, long while. Marionberry scone: perfectly crunchy, best moist, fluffy texture inside. Ratatouille hand pie/empanada…omg veggilicious. Crust was awesome!!! $ 7 total Family run. savory and sweet pies there… quiche, etc… everything looks gorgeous. Another location on E side which stays open in the evening. That coconut cream pie was screaming at me — -

I don’t even like pie. Something about fruit in my pastries. I dunno… But god help me if I didn’t have some cherry pie and love it. I was unaware that their new location on Division offered brunch but since the Hubbs loves biscuits and theirs are amazing, we will have to go. The downtown location is very close for me. I love that they have got breakfast and lunch options and the most phenomenal crust. You can take that to the bank because usually, I take the crust off pies and quiche completely but not here. Here, it makes the pie. I can’t even believe that this is me typing. The quiches(which are what hooked me and kept me coming back in the first place) come with a simple salad with home made croutons. Lovely. Excellent strong coffee(french press, I believe) and just had my first chocolate chip cookie… Tempted to march right back over there and eat ALLTHECOOKIES! Ohmygosh. There are not enough chocolate chip cookies, nevermind fantastic chocolate chip cookies in my work radius. WINNING! Also, it does not hurt even one little bit that they are right next door to Bunk which is right next door to Petite Oiseau. Later, willpower!
