Told Larry that my lamp did not work anymore. He checked the cord, appeared that my puppy chewed the cord! He fixed it in 10 minutes, good as new. Secret code to get a lamp fixed that quick, tell him that Lola chewed the cord.

Larry is knowledgeable, competent and reasonably priced. He fixed my(really heavy) floor lamp when the lamp fell off the base. That being said, his shop is cluttered and disorganized, he seems to be a one-man show and he may take weeks to get to your job. His lack of diplomacy is well documented in other posts, but he is what he is. He is good at what he does, so I’d go back.

Horrible customer service! Complained when I tried to use my credit card, then that I had an out of state ID. I went down the road to do it yourself hardware.

My experience is similar to Jocelyn B’s: Quoted $ 70 when we dropped off the lamp; charged $ 120 when we picked it up. Hard to imagine that that kind of service can survive the age of Unilocal when we can all hear about it first and choose where to go accordingly.

Quick, effective, and inexpensive, and handy, Larry provides an invaluable service when you don’t know what a part in the lamp is called, much less how to fix it! I am very pleased with how he fixed my stained glass lamp!

Larry is the real deal. If you need a lamp fixed he’s your guy. He wired my turn of the(last) century ftxtures & was able to replace a rare glass slipper at a fraction of the price quoted by Rejuvenation Hardware. Sure his place is cluttered, he may take a phone call while waiting on you & sometimes he is backed up & you have to wait for you stuff. But hey! he’s only one guy & he is really good at what he does. A neighborhood fixture himself!
