We really loved our meal here. We can’t wait to go back. In fact, we even sat in the pouring rain to eat here. I’m taking one star off for inadequate rain protection in a city that has a lot of rain. If you want a unique experience go to Artigiano! The food was different, and not the usual Italian food you find in a restaurant… which is what we were looking for, a unique experience. We ordered a dinner for three option and had about six courses. The portions are on the smaller size, but all the better if you want to have dessert afterwards! All of the food came out hot and delicious. The service was great, even though it was indeed pouring rain, and he remained cheerful and funny through it all. We visit Portland about four times a year, and can’t wait to visit Artigiano again(hopefully without the rain, but hey… it’s Portland).

We had dinner here and selected the«Dinner for Two» option for $ 42. The food was exquisite, but the total amount of food served(to both of us) was less than what would be a single regular entry + perhaps half an appetizer at most other restaurants. The place is a charming food stall and we did not mind being handed plastic plates and utensils at the counter, pouring our own water from a plastic barrel, and having the food brought to us on paper plates. However, for the setting and the extremely small amount of food $ 42 was outrages.

Excellent food. All 4 dishes were excellent. There was a live band performing too at the back corner by the tables which was just dreamy. 2 stars off for the girl staff who brings the food to the table, not a single word, no smiles whatsoever, no greetings, no manners, she just out of no where interrupted us while we were talking and slammed the dishes on the table without saying which is which, she didn’t offer any parmesan or anything else and didn’t ask if we needed anything else. She saw me at the end while we were paying and I was trying to pour water out of the empty tank and didn’t say anything or offered any help!!! So weird and unacceptable she kept me wondering what’s wrong with her, and I just dropped the stupid idea of getting a cup of water and walked out, the 2 guys inside the truck were very nice. Highly recommend for the delicious food.

I stopped by here to get a soda, not just any soda, a mexican coke — a natural sugar cola. Cool nice and refreshing. Large area to sitting and enjoying your food. The service from the guy in the truck was nice as I was annoyed about waiting for my food from Pok Pok’s down the street. He recommended us to hit up a gelato location if we didn’t want to wait for Salt & Straw.

The food was ok. Not great. Portions were small for an Italian meal. Prices were high for a food truck. Selection was small.

When I can only say Yiddish words while I’m eating this means it’s orgasmic. I’m plotzing while fressing on this to die for gnocchi. Oy vay. It’s creamy! It’s so good!!! They should live and be well!

Maybe it was a bad night, but food was not special, lacking flavor, the braised pork was burn on the outside and a little dry. The gnochi were ok, but nothing exceptional. Garlic bread was just ok. Maybe too high expectations. Really wanted to like this food truck.

Lovely, lovely, yummy, lovely, yummy. Oh and did I mention lovely & yummy? I highly recommend Artigiano. Rachel was so fun and talented. A wonderful Portland-y experience. We had the gnocchi and asparagus. Perfection… I licked the plate like any high class broad would! :-)

Lots of other reviewers have already talked about the food, which is fine, if a little on the bland side, and the serving sizes, which are small for the price. My issue is with the service over the summer, which I still think about whenever I’m in that area. First tip-off that things were going to be weird: I ordered pesto pasta with potatoes and bruschetta and the woman got weirdly aggressive about it not being enough for two people. I pointed to my boyfriend’s obvious Pok Pok to-go bag and said he already had food, so it was just for me and for takeaway so his food wouldn’t get cold. She waved that away and said if we wanted to stay and both eat there, it was totally fine, no big deal! There’s a table in the corner, enjoy! That wasn’t our plan, but it was nice out and the place was nearly empty so sure, why not. So we sat and ate and she got colder and colder towards us and more and more friendly towards the two other couples — gave one the rest of their bottle of wine for free and the other some dessert. When I went to bus our dishes and say thank you, I guess I was expecting something but certainly not the outburst that I received about how rude it was to bring in outside food and how she«wouldn’t let that shit slide on a weekend night.» It was insane and so off-putting, after she invited us to stay. The other couples looked aghast. I would absolutely have given the food another shot — maybe it was an off-night, another thing on the menu might be better, etc. — but oh man, no way.

I would take my family here for a celebratory dinner sooner than I would take them to any of the half-dozen expensive italian restaurants in this neighborhood. The service is lovely and unpretentious, as is the food. There seem to be two kinds of italian restaurants in this town: expensive menus featuring trendy ingredients and kale salads, and bland olive-gardenesque places that cater mostly to blue-hairs and families. Then you have Artigiano, which is neither of these things. This place is built on good, simple technique, good ingredients, and pleasant service, not hype.

Finally made it here after being on the bucket list for a couple years. Artigiano is a stand-alone cart, not in a food pod, and they may have live entertainment inside the adjacent tent. Tagliatelle with Pesto and Potatoes($ 13): Being a big pesto fan, I was quite stoked. Overall execution was great. The only thing: portion size will not fill the panda up. I seriously would need about 3 – 4 plates to do that. My wallet would cry uncle. It’s worth noting that spending $ 13 at a Portland food cart would normally fill me up – or at least make me content. The«Dinner for Two» and«Family-Style Feast» options here seem more the way to go. It’ll be roughly $ 20 per person for 3 – 4 courses. The«Dinner for Two» option changes nightly. Next time, should the panda just eat for two people?

This food cart is so much more than that. Restaurant-style patio, live music, and the fresh pasta and gnocchi absolutely melt in your mouth. Service is so friendly, too. Really, aside from ordering at the cart window, you could forget that you’re dining from a cart and not at a b&m. The prices are still in the upper echelons of cart prices, well below what a sit-down italian restaurant charges. Maybe on par with Grassa. Best gnocchi I’ve had in Portland, so I’ll definitely be back.

The most amazing gnocchis I have ever eaten. They were like tiny little clouds of love. Couldn’t resist not to hug her. My family had some other items on the menu which were all very tasty and well prepared. If I would live in Portland I would eat here regularly.

Excellent food and nice seating. I love her chicken dishes and the garlic bread is delicious! The woman who runs this cart is lovely, easygoing, and cares about the quality of the food she makes.

Finally had the chance to try the very famous hand made pasta! Gosh where to start, decided to stop by here after work and good thing I did. The pasta, the sauce, the pork, oh my heavenly! I can’t wait to try the other ones in the menu! To top it off, service is excellent, it was quick and the two owners were very friendly and funny! Big plus in my book :-)

One of the best meals I have gotten at a food cart ever. Since there were 4 of us we ordered the Chef’s choice and sat back at the chef wowed us with entrée after entrée after entrée. It was a delightful evening to say the least. we all felt as if we were at an upscale restaurant sitting out in the courtyard not at a food cart. We will be back. I highly suggest you take a group and do a tasting for sure.

How does food as good as this come from a food cart? Time and time again I am in awe. I highly recommend getting the dinner for 2. It was amazing. It’s almost the same price as a decent sit-down meal in a restaurant, but it actually took less time, came with appetizer, bread & oil/balsamic vinegar. They love what they do. It comes through in the food. They were humble and prepared my meal quickly, packaged it with love and sent me off with a delicious, hot dinner. Will be back again and again and again.

My husband and I just got back from a quick trip to Portland, OR, and can I just say that Portland is absolutely FOODIEHEAVEN! It blows my mind that here, local, fresh, organic, and farm to table is more the norm than the anomaly. Where I live(Honolulu, HI) these kinds of places are far and few between and I literally will drive half way around the island to frequent them. Portland is just brimming with eateries that take food very seriously, prepare it as an art and use exceptionally fresh ingredients. Artigiano is no exception! In fact, being that it was one of the first meals we had there, it pretty much set the standard. Ok, enough of my goo-goo-ga-ga-ing over your city(can you tell, I’m a fan??)! On to the food! Two MUSTHAVES: handmade fettuccine(salivating) with tomato ragu topped with crispy pork(starting to drool) and yukon gold gnocchi in sage-browned butter(excuse me while I wipe the drool off my keyboard). Can I interrupt briefly by stating that I don’t really even like Italian food. I never crave it, and will only eat it unless a friend suggests it. Thank the Lord for my friend who knows Portland good eats like the back of his hand. These two dishes alone has made me an italian fan. I’ve been craving and dreaming about it(yes, I actually had a dream about the gnocchi) and it’s so sad that I live an ocean away from these two mind blowing dishes. The handmade fettuccine was light, thin, curly on the edges and perfectly al dente tossed with fresh(from the farm) herbs and topped with the crispy pork that is perfectly crisp on the outside, like a thin crust and moist and juicy on the inside. The gnocchi was absolutely mind blowing! Crisped sage, roasted hazelnuts, crispy bits of bacon, and buttery-melt – in-your-mouth-pillowy-soft handmade gnocchi. Dear Lord I wish I could have some right now! I loved that their food was fresh, local, straight from the farm, and handmade. The two folks in the wagon were also great hosts and extremely friendly. I felt like a guest in their truck haven. Oh, did I mention this is a food truck? Fine dining quality, with the prices of food-truck fare. I must be in heaven. I’m telling you there is NOWHERE in Hawaii that delivers this quality of food for this reasonable price. Absolutely worth it in value, in my book! To my Hawaii friends, if you are ever in Portland, you MUST check this place out. To you lucky people in Portland, I am SOJEALOUS that Artigiano is in your backyard. I WILL be back and Artigiano will be my first stop!

I’m with Michael K, this may be my new favorite food cart. It’s simple fresh Italian food, the kind you’d pay $ 20+ for in a sit-down place, but for half as much. I got a simple caesar salad, which came with the best damn croutons I’ve ever tasted — big cubes of toasted and seasoned crunchy italian bread. I also had the roast pork dish of the day, which was basically braised pork shoulder that they’d then seared til crispy, served with a nicely dressed salad and some roasted yukon golds. Divine. Seasonal, fresh, top-quality ingredients. They serve the food on actual plates, with actual forks — so civilized.

Your homemade pasta is superb. Thank you for serving us a date night with bring your own wine at no corkage, real plates and forks and al fresco dining on Division. Boy had seasonal ravioli with asapargus, me beef and pork ragu. Nice caeser salad, and thank you for the handouts of tira mi su. Keep doing what you are doing. It reminds me of the meals I had in the small towns in Tuscany.
