Good fresh tasting burrito, but mine was lukewarm. Get yer stove fixed and I’ll be back.

I typically order the carne asada burrito, which is consistently tasty and filling. Living in Sellwood, this is my first choice for Mexican food. The folks who run the food cart are always fast and very nice. The price is entirely agreeable. So, its a 4 star experience all way around.

Simple but great Mexican at cheap prices. What else do you want?

Love this place. The green salsa is special– it goes excellent with the mole burrito. I go her at least once a week when I can.

I must confess I’ve only had their dollar tacos made with the various meats, but they’re so tasty! My brother lives a few blocks down Lexington so whenever I’m at his house, I find myself compelled to grab some dollar tacos. DELISH.

This is the go to taco truck in my house. The Chicken Mole burrito is so ay-ay-mazing I can’t force myself to branch out and order something else I have stolen a few bites of the carnitas and chicken tacos from the manfriend and the roomie and those were both awesome too. One day I hope to be particularly hungry so I can justify ordering the mole burrito AND the torta so I can see whats up.

My co-worker and I hit up the Sellwood food carts at lunch one day in late fall to see if their offerings were near the greatness of the Hawthorne pod. My last experience at Hawthorne had been my worst food cart experience(El Brasero), but we decided that this Sellwood burrito cart gave us the best chance to get back to work on time. I ended up getting the Chicken Mole burrito special and it was off-the-charts tasty. The crowning jewel for Kiko’s was the fact that they offer black beans instead of pinto. It was a substantial burrito for less than five bucks. The friendly staff had our had our orders ready in less than five minutes. The whole experience put El Brasero to shame. It also topped our other burrito wagon standby on 82nd, a little south of Johnson Creek. This will probably become the new nice weather burrito of choice at work(with Super Burrito Express being the indoor option).

When there are 10 orders in front of yours at Garden State, consider going around the corner to Kiko’s, a straightforward, no frills, Mexican cart offering up super cheap and quick eats — tacos, burritos. Pretty simple. I had the veggie burrito, $ 4, and I was pleased. The veggies were cooked well, still crisp, and fresh. The salsa roja is super! I ignored the green sauce and all but licked every last drop of the red out of the tiny condiment container. Quick, cheap lunch on the fly. Nothing amazing, but it hit the spot and I’ll be back to check out some tacos. At one dollar, that’s a recession special right there. Another reason the Sellwood carts are great is the ample seating provided.

You’re in Sellwood. You feel a rumble in your belly. You reach into your pockets and find $ 5.00 but you realize that your options truly suck(a pastry, an appetizer). You look up and are on the corner of SE13th and SE Lexington St. There is a glimmer of light that bounces off of Kiko’s white cart. Your belly does some grumbling and a little dance of joy! $ 1.00 Tacos? $ 4.00 Burritos? Sweet… As someone who frequents affordable and tasty taquerias I am happy to have found another gem on this truly odd food cart collection in Sellwood. Yes, things are a bit greasy. Yes, I have had ‘better’ taqueria fare. What I can tell you is that this is TASTY. You would be hard pressed to find this kind of quality food for this price anywhere near Sellwood. We’ll be back. A lot.

Kiko’s Taqueria Uruapan hits par for the taco-cart course with its incredibly limited but tasty selection of tacos, burritos, and tortas. At $ 1 per taco($ 4/burrito) for those awesome cart-style double-tortilla carnitas, pastor, pollo, and asada tacos, the price can’t be beat. Add a dash of fresh diced tomato, onion, cilantro, a lime wedge, and some tasty verde/roja salsa, and you got a nice big plate of $ 4DELICIOUS! I have been down to this new little cart corral in sellwood numerous times, and each and every time, they are all CLOSED!!! What gives? Well, today we went down there, and all but Kiko’s were closed, so tacos it was. I was not disappointed, by any means. These are not the best tacos, or even up near the top, flavor wise, but they are good, fresh, and, again, at $ 1/ea, they really hit the spot. Add in a $ 1.50 Jarritos Tamarindo, and you got a solid almuerzo. Now that my bar loans are starting to run out, you may see me here more and more often.
