Finally found real authentic Caribbean/Jamaican food in Portland. After living in Turks and Caicos for years I’ve been searching for this food since I moved here. The jerk chicken was outstanding, fall off the bone and perfectly spiced. The peas n rice perfectly done and taste like home. Looking forward to trying the festivals next time. Clearly cooked with love!

The jerk chicken really is great here — some of the tastiest chicken I have had in this city period. The jerk seasonings are not as prominent as I am used to, however the chicken itself was very flavorful. I am not an expert on «jerk» chicken per say, but this stuff was good, fall off the bone tender and flavorful, with a great crust. Rice was very good too, but I could do without the salad, the creamy dressing just does’t go with the chicken and rice IMO, so perhaps ask her to hold the dressing on the salad. The hours here seem to be somewhat inconsistent unfortunately… however if you see this place open, stop by and get some jerk!

I’m not Jamaican and have never been to Jamaica, but WOW my lunch was awesome. I had the jerk chicken with rice and peas. I got my food fast and it was delicious. The chicken was served bone in and was fork-tender. The rice was great and the veggies were fresh and crisp. I got the large portion and it could have easily fed two people — super great deal at $ 12. Looking forward to going back to this place. This place is cash only, but there is a Wells Fargo right across the street with an ATM.

I was born in Jamaica and recently relocated from New York to Portland. I have been craving some good authentic Jamaican cuisine. The kind I grew up eating. This food truck is the closet thing to being back home that there is in Portland. I had the jerk chicken which was season just right with the perfect amount of spice. The owner was great and I cant wait to go back and try her other dishes! Especially the Oxtail!

Been waiting since we moved back from nyc for Jamaican food cooked by actual Jamaican folks. Had the curry goat… Damn it was good! Rice and peas on point, bread was on point. Now just expand the menu and this will be the spot!

Real Jamaican food cooked by Jamaican hands. Once you taste the food, you will tell people you went to Jamaica because it’s that authentic. The soup is delicious, from the beef soup to the fish soup. As I am writing this, my mouth is watering from remembering the fish soup I had the other day. Come and taste for yourself, then thank me later. Trust me… I am Jamaican.
