I never imagined id be someone that would carry a ton of different spices in my kitchen let alone a ton of different salts. I think a trip to the French Laundry had opened my eyes to how different the soil, minerals and other intangibles of land and water effect flavor. So now when i hear or see of an artisan purveyor I add it to the cooking repertoire. Id heard a lot of Jacobsen and their old school ways of harvesting this most important of spices. When I saw April Bloomfield go through the whole process on Mind Of A Chef, i knew i had to get my hands on Jacobsen while in town. Not only did i haul a fair share home, i went to many a place that uses Jacobsen in their cuisine. It’s amazing what salt does for one’s cooking and how a top notch spice can make it that much better

OK, all you licorice lovers(as I) …seek no more !!! The best licorice the world has to offer. I have been on a continuing quest to find the winner… and wella… my search is over. One can mail order this treat as well as other foods which I intend to sample one by one. What a superior enterprise this shopkeeper created… GREAT website too !!! A MUST

Great venue. Centrally located. I’m already a convert to the salt, since many of my favorite local eateries use it, especially as a finish. If you have a fine piece of meat, a little of these flavor crystals on top will take it to the next level. It’s just salt l, right? Try it for yourself!
