My dad is in a wheelchair and we have never been here before. But when it comes to having a ramp on the inside, they failed miserably! Nobody but 1 person knew about a shady ass temporary ramp that we have to put away and put back every time he go’s to get food. I’M GOINGTOBETAKINGTHISUPTHECORPORATELADDER!

First of all I would like to say, the wait staff are the BEST… very attentive and always smiling no matter how busy it gets. As far as the food, my family love all the choices, alway very fresh and if you ask there staff will even make you a pizza to your liking in minutes. The new grill it area is soooo good steak cooked to order and they will even bring it to you…

$ 30 for two people on a Thursday evening and two drinks. I’m defiantly not used to paying extra for drinks at a buffet. I enjoyed the mashed potatoes and gravy more than anything on the menu and the steak was seasoned well. Overall though we won’t go back. The crust is not good and the sauce was lacking in any kind of flavor. We tried this based on so many good reviews but even with the other main buffet items it was worth it. The dessert items were cookies pudding ice cream and sticky buns. Not worth it at all.

piss poor. this place should be closed. I tried to book for 30 people and the staff was like, «duh» told me to call the other location which offered a blind transfer to someone for some thing unknown. Horrible. This chain has lost all view of how they pay their bills, the customer is the one you should be trying to make happy. I suggest fire the managers and reevaluate the staff. might make for a better place to visit.

For this location only(as I haven’t been to any others) 5 stars. All the way around. All the food items I tried were good. Some very good. There is some sort of puff ball looking pineapple upside down cake… Wow! It was awesome. The employees: there is something about the morale here. I picked up on it when I noticed one happy employee after another. Not just fake smiling… I’m talking Happy employees. For me this is a huge«tell» about what’s really going on. The mgmt here is obviously doing something right, especially when the quality control of the food is so good. The atmosphere and ambience here is great. You won’t do better at this price point. Value: good value for the $ 12.59 spent for all you can eat. Will DEFINITELY be back!

$ 12.59 for pizza that has been left out for hours and has no flavor. The service was great but the food just isn’t worth it.

Do you break and arm and a leg or visit sick ones just to experience the pleasures of hospital food? Have you become a «connoisseur», so much so, you critique HMO’s and health plans based on their cafeteria’s? Well… stop it! Izzys is in the palm of your hands, and all over your face and deep into your bowels, too. Why, I think they have even less flavour, and salt.(Good thing?) that can rival any hospital cafeteria in blandness. So stop jonesin’, and head over. $ 14 gets your fix. Kinda like a large scale«swansons» dinner with a crowd.

I wish I had seen the Unilocal reviews before going here. I have heard other people say that Izzys wasn’t so bad for a buffet. I saw sign that said they had prime rib on their menu and it prompted me to go in. I tried several items from the buffet. A few where okay but the rest were pretty bland. So what prompted me to go in was the prime rib. You had to order this from the counter by filling out a slip. I took a long time to get it. It was some slab of meat that they were slicing and then throwing on the girdle to heat up. It was tough, it smelt funny and just was plain awful, got sick to my stomach. I guess you get what you pay for. I was however expecting something at least halfway decent. Every time I go by and Izzys now I shutter and get flashbacks of the so called prime rib was. I will probably never go back to it as easy as I can’t get over the stigma. The sad thing is if it weren’t for the prime rib experience I probably would’ve gone back…

This review is late in coming, as the wife and me have been coming here(and its other locations), for years. I will say from the start that it is so good, my wife and me had our wedding reception at Izzy’s when they had a location on Macadam street. Other reviewers are correct, however, when they say the quality depends on when you visit. I’ve had some fantastic food when the place is busy(which I never enjoy, I prefer eating in restaurants when they are not busy), and dried out fare when they are not. This also apparently varies by location, however – the Macadam location never had this trouble. But, when the food is freshly made, it’s excellent. I actually prefer their other foods over their pizza. The fried chicken is sublime, so are their potatoes. The grill that operates during dinner is a nice touch, as well, and was new to me the last time I visited. Whoever made the decision to have one of the televisions tuned to the Food Network is a wise person(eating food while watching food=food orgasm). The price is also more than fair, however, if you add a drink from the soda machine, that’s a little pricey. This seems to be the norm with a lot of buffet places now, though. All in all, a great experience; I shall keep coming back.

I found that it really depends on when you show up. Been here a few times during dinner and was very satisfied with our meal, that being said ate lunch here today at 2:30 and it must have been the leftovers from lunch rush. Pizza was hard and dried out.

Found a hair in my macaroni and cheese 1 time. Let it go. The second time, I addressed the manager and showed him the hair. The response I got was«Ohh wowww, really?» The steak that I ordered from the grill could noy even be walked around to my table. It was literally handed to me from the buffet floor to the upper section.

My husband and son love this place. I used to love the grilled steak. However, they have changed the cut of meat, or the supplier they get it from. What used to be very flavorful, juicy and melt in your mouth — has turned into hard and chewy, have to spit it out steak. Not impressed. Sorry to say, cause I really like this place. But to pay $ 46 for a Sunday brunch buffet and have food you can’t even chew was not pleasant.

«Why is everyone hating on Izzy’s ?!» I’ll tell you why: it’s filthy and the food is lousy. Once upon a time 20 or more years ago, their pizza was good. Now they are trying to be a buffet instead of a pizza parlor and very few items are okay. Even their grill menu is hit or miss. You can’t please everybody. Why bother having so much variation in the menu? They are just overshooting what they could do best.

I am a service snob not a foodie so take that before continuing. This is fast food meets buffet. For a buffet it’s not bad, but for fast food quality it’s a little spendy. There is a grille, but I never intend to partake as it has yet to offer me something I would want. Where the place shines is service. «But it’s a buffet you say, what service» oh contrar my friend, go to a place that has poor service in their buffet then come here, it will be notable difference.

I’m going 5 stars based on category! You can’t rate a fast food joint against a steak house!!! It will alway be less stars! You have to rate based on category… So, I paid 7.99 for lunch buffet. That said it’s probably the best 7.99 buffet I’ve ever had. Everything very clean, friendly staff, salad bar very fresh, hot food was hot. So compared to other restaurants like it. 5 stars… Don’t be fooled by the«single» star ratings. Jack A’s!!! For the money this place is t**s.

Why is everyone hating on Izzy’s ?! I’m giving this place 3 stars because it wouldn’t be fair giving it 4 because it definitely does not compare to some other 4 star establishments but I’d say it is average and average can be a good thing! They offer a basic selection of sodas that all restaurants usually have(coke, sprite, raspberry Nestea, etc.) All the contents on their salad bar basically consists of packaged foods, nothing is really that fresh except for the fruit. Their pizza has it’s own station and you can pretty much find Hawaiian, BBQ chicken, flat bread veggie and pepperoni/meat pizzas on there, however you may request any type of pizza. Their main course bar has some variety, but everything is pretty much soaked in butter like the mash potatoes, garlic green beans, potato skins or cheesy bread pizza. Then there’s the dessert bar which I never touch because they have an ice cream machine and getting ice cream on a cone is fun to do! Overall, It is what it is. I think why I enjoy Izzy’s so much is because of the nostalgia effect! I use to eat Izzy’s as a kid all the time and stuff my face with their unhealthy foods, but now that I’m 22 I still like to come back every once and awhile with friends or family; the only difference is I just eat less of the cheesy bread than before because I realized how bad it is for a person to consume. Ohhhh the cheesy bread!!!

With every step towards their front door I mumbled, «don’t do it, don’t do it.» 20 minutes later I was slamming my heal against my ass as that’s my best impression of kicking myself. After nearly 200 Unilocal reviews and a number of other resturants that I haven’t rated, I quickly shout«Izzy’s»(and Mummy’s) when answering the question of who has the worst food. …uh, there was ample parking and the server was nice. So .19 star for that.

I was actually amazed this location got such horrible reviews. The servers were super friendly, the restaurant was very clean and unscary for a buffet(which I usually avoid like the plague but I was starving and it was either here or fast food). I was actually pretty impressed — I ate a mound of fruit in the salad bar because it was so shockingly fresh and amazing. I was even surprized at their meat quality — it was a tasty little steak. Maybe I just came at a good time but I was expecting the worst and had a pretty good meal for a cheap price.
