It is absolutely fantastic to have a place like Ira’s in one’s neighborhood! Ira is a gem, everyone that works there is nice, they have a good selection of convenience store staples, and their food made on site is really good! So glad to have found this treasure!

Wonderful service and great sandwiches. Ira himself took our order and was soooo very friendly. It was obvious how much he appreciates his customers. The shop was super clean and inviting. The ruben sandwich and gyro were delish! The potato salad was fresh and tangy(some mustard and not a lot of mayo which I like) Will definitely be back!

We stopped here after landing at PDX& wanting to eat away from Cascade Station. We wanted burgers, to catch the game & not pay airport prices. Ira seriously could not have been nicer!!! We will be back!

Was looking for a place to get some lunch, and decided to trust help and try it. It’s like half restaurant half 7 eleven inside. It works though! The food is yummy and priced well. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak with sautéed onions and it was great! Came out quick too. Fries were meh. No salt or flavor. Will come back to try some other stuff!

Worst customer service. Visited here and the staff at first just seemed disinterested in helping my friends and I, then when they were making our order they came over to clarify with my friend if she wanted a chicken salad or a chicken salad sandwich and when she said sandwich they made us pay the difference since THEY had rang it up wrong. If that wasn’t bad enough getting another ticket and going through 2 lines to pay the difference we then asked for ranch when our Jojos came and they said yes but that costed extra too even though I previously stated I wanted ranch when I was ordering my Jojos. It’s a shame that the staff was so rude and had 0 hospitality because the food was good and this place has potential but I don’t know if I’ll be back.

Super delicious. Stopped by for a gyro and its ingredients were fresh, super yummy. Atmosphere is chill. Next time I’m in Portland, I’ll definitely stop by again.

Lunch time on National Sandwich Day. Hmmmmm. Ira’s helped me honor this sacred day with a good olé turkey and avocado on sourdough. It was anthem-worthy in a red and white paper-lined plastic basket. Add a side of fresh steak fries, and I was a happy patriot. My coworker enjoyed her BLT with equal reverie. God bless ‘Merica, and Ira’s.

This place is awesome! Great selection of sandwiches and other breakfast and lunch items and an insane beverage selection. The baked goods are fresh and decadent! And super friendly service. Definitely a great deli!

Nice little deli, clean, Solid gyro. The gyro wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was far from the worst. The produce was freshly cut, nothing wrong with at all. Nice people with good food cooked to order. The French fries were crunchy the way I like em!

This place is so great! I had the Gyros and potato salad. Both were exceptional. The staff is so friendly and my kids all had the bacon cheeseburger and didn’t put it down until it was gone! It’s not just a deli, it also is a small convenient store with a very wide selection of beer, wine and other beverages. Price was decent as well. And place was VERY clean! Yay to finding a new place for my lunch breaks!!!

Very surprised by the food here! Guy got turkey burger, he absolutely loved it. Bun was soft, meat cooked to perfection. I got the Philly, bread was super fresh, meat tender and delicious. I made my guy touch my bread because I couldn’t believe how soft and delicious it was. Staff very friendly, amazing beers on tap for $ 3.50, scoops of tillamook ice cream… this place is a gem. Glad we live close, we’re definitely going to become regulars here!

I am so incredibly happy that this place is on my way home from work! Ira is in the running for the friendliest person ever, and the convenience of just stopping by Ira’s to grab food and a drink has turned me into a loyal regular. The burgers are meh, nothing special, clearly preformed patties. I still chow down on them happily when I’m in a burger mood and Ira’s is the most convenient and non-greasy option. But any meh-ness of the burger is easily wiped away by other items. For example, the gyro is awesome. As are the breakfast burritos. And breakfast sandwiches. The full convenience-store collection of drinks makes it an ideal take-out option, and the taps in-store make it a good place to stay as well. Tillamook ice cream, baklava, and other goodies are there to tempt. My advice — go to Ira’s. Grab a quick meal. Grab the gyro or a breakfast item. It may not blow your mind like some Portland foodie establishments(which I love in their own right), but it’ll be damn good at what it is and you just may just end up hooked like I am.

Went to get my gyro fix. Best in town? Not being from Portland I have no idea but very well could be better but I was good. I like Tzatziki sauce and the just sprinkle feta on it. The pita, meat, tomatoes, lettuce and cucumbers were all fresh and good but no Tzatziki. I had mine with fries, they too were hot and fresh. Service was good, I got the feeling they would try to make or get you anything you wanted. I could see if a bunch of people came in at once it could get slow. It is not a production focused operation. Nice casual place, good food, comfortable neighborhood type of place.

Delicious, start with that, great food! Nice quaint little neighborhood convenience store/deli. Super clean with adequate seating inside and out. They offer a great selection of food, coffee, and drinks(including draught beers and wine)! I saw something about deserts but didn’t investigate into that. Very friendly staff to top it off. Diamond in the rough!

Tasty. Ira, the owner, is on site and very welcoming. The kitchen is the real selling point of this place. But there’s also an convenience store and video poker in the back.

My husband isnt often amazed by a burger, but the double trouble cheeseburger left him speechless. I had the Ira’s philly, it was awesome! This store is cute – love the seating area, we were able to catch some soccer on tv while we ate. We had a chance to meet Ira, he is passionate about his food and his customers. Such a fun guy!

Wow, Ira. Today was my first time in your establishment, and I quite liked your food. In fact, I’ll be back to try more of your delicious sandwiches … on one condition: That you fire the wretched blonde girl behind the counter. She has no place in a customer facing position. I can deal with the fact that she was an asshole to me; I’m an adult woman, I get that people have bad days, and I sincerely wanted to try your food. Hell, I can deal with the fact that she was an asshole to the two women in front of me, too. They brushed it off and continued on their way, though I could tell one was more miffed than the other. But you know what I can’t handle? That she was an even bigger asshole to the disabled woman who needed help. That’s just gross. Judging by the attitude of your cashier she’s never gone without much in her life, and obviously lacks the empathy one should have when dealing with people in need. The woman wasn’t asking for much — she just needed some help with her money — but this girl, this mean-spirited and entitled girl, rolled her eyes, laughed in the woman’s face and said, «Yeah, I mean, I guess I can help you with that.» I watched the disabled woman get frustrated — I’m sure it’s not her first time being trivialized, and limp away, all of four feet tall with an obvious spine condition. You know how sometimes watching people in pain hurts you, too? That’s what this was like. This woman could barely walk, and is being laughed at by your cashier. What a poor representation of your establishment. But you know what’s funny? After ordering my food and sitting down to watch this woman continue her tirade against your paying customers, I noticed something: She stopped when a certain man would step behind the counter. Was that you, Ira? Are you the nice looking man who smiles at everyone and is a delightful human being? I bet that’s you, as it’s hard to mistake the look of pride someone has when they’re at the helm of their business’ wheel. And if that was you being so wonderful to your guests, Ira, then there is something you need to know: You have to put the blond girl somewhere else. Take her out of a customer-facing position immediately. I’m sure she fancies herself above a cooking position, because, you know, she strikes me as someone with an unexplainably inflated sense of self-worth, so when she cries over this review, hand her a spatula and see what’s she made of. Because if you don’t, and if you allow this to continue, the world is going to have another self-righteous and indignant woman who lacks all empathy and believes herself to be irreplaceable, and we just don’t need any more of those bitches in this world.

I can’t tell if this is trying to be a neighborhood place to hang out and eat, a traditional deli or, a convenience store with a great deli. The issue is, Ira’s does all of these really well. I’ve explored the menu and the burgers are good! The Gyro is fantastic, and most of the sandwiches I’ve had are great. All of the employees have been excellent; friendly and most importantly, quick with the food. You have a good beer selection, and most of those small things you always kind of need when you’re getting some take-out at a deli. Friendly, good, quality selection of things. A bit pricey is the only issue I’d say they have, but most of what I’ve had to eat was well worth it.

Very welcoming upon entering. Great service. Drink selection is massive. Beers, juice to water etc. Decent menu. I stopped as the awning says best Gyros in town. It was good, best? I’m not sure about that but I’d stop here again. It seems to be privately owned joint that works hard at making sure you get anything you need and as quickly as possible. Very clean Lots of seating. Be a good spot for a get together or meeting Give them a try, nice folks making their way.
