We had a great stay at this hotel. It was very clean and the continental breakfast was kept stocked and good. The beds and pillows are ok. I do feel like the walls are NOT thick enough. You could hear everything people talking & walking from above. The pool is small nothing fancy and no jacuzzi but clean. Overall, happy with stay.

Let me start by saying I stay at a Holiday Inn one week every month. My issues were as follows: 1) 24 hour cancellation policy. The HI normal is by check in time i.e. 3PM. 2) The Internet access was spotty, both the wireless and cat 5. 3) The parking lot was completely dark at 6AM, even the HI sign was off. Definitely not the standard I have come to expect.

Needed a staycation and this was a great getaway. Though not the best scenery it’s still one of the newest hotels in the area.

This hotel has one KEY flaw, and that is the beds. I am on one right now, and I can say it is as soft as a coffee table. I just got here and this hotel has given me a bad impression of the corpus christi area in general, which is not nice because I have nowhere else to go till saturday. If you want a good night’s sleep(or any sleep), you want a different hotel. Edit: This is not resort — like, it’s in a rural feeling area. Look at google street view!

Just checked in to this hotel and it is a very clean hotel but the bed in our room is rock hard! Called down to the lobby and spoke with the clerk, she said all beds in the hotel are the same. The scenery for the area is not so great either. You would be better off booking a hotel in the city of Corpus Cristie near the beaches. I do not recommend this hotel unless you like hard beds.

Every summer me and my family come down to Portland to get away. This is our favorite hotel. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the front desk staff. Check in is painless and the prices are very reasonable. The wifi is also free :) The hotel has a very modern but comfortable atmosphere, it’s well lit, and smells very clean. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and super clean. Portland is a very quiet town, so you’ll have no problem getting to sleep on the comfortable beds. There was a light bulb out on one of our lamps so we called the front desk and they quickly brought one up. The breakfast is complimentary and runs from 6−10am. The food is always fresh and hot, and there is always someone changing out the food bins and cleaning the counters. If you ever come down to the Corpus Christi/Portland area you’ve got to check this place out. You won’t be disappointed.
