I’ve experienced a lot better. As the write-up about the company indicates, growth and profit are their primary concerns; respect and concern for their renters are not. My own experience is that when I moved in to one of their senior tax credit properties nothing was explained to me about the particulars of how the rent for my specific apartment was set, in order that I might understand that I had other options(I qualify for a lower rent unit). Four years after the fact, I am getting a 10% rent increase, and have been trying to get a factual explanation concerning this for two months. They are evasive and non-responsive. They apparently are not interested in working with their senior, low-income tenants — only in getting more money, and this issue is just the tip of the iceberg.
