We bought a new house and needed some help creating a plan for the yard and surrounding rock wall area. There was a lot of unfinished business left with remaining drainage, hardscaping, and general cleanup. Matt and grasstains came as a referral from a friend. Within a week we had a meeting with him and his foreman, and a plan to begin work before the new year. They were done in about a week, and even with the busy end of year, before the rains, madness, they pushed hard to get the work done and the new work established before the weather really changed. Matt was transparent about the scope and cost, and work was done in a timely fashion. I will recommend and definitely use for future projects.

Matt & his crew did a fantastic job helping us with a big fall cleanup. The pruned, installed gravel paths, stone walkways and new sod. They were very professional and easy to work with. Highly recommended.

I will hire Grasstains again!!! I had been trying to hire a landscaper for 3 months. Who knew it would be so difficult to hire someone, let alone get a phone call back from them. Matt contacted me within 24 hours. He showed up for our consult on time and ready! He worked with me on the design and my budget. He was patient and willing to teach me landscaping 101. Once the project was booked it was done in 2 weeks of the starting date. The quality of workmanship that was done by his team was solid and beautiful. It changed the whole look of the front of my house and gave me needed privacy fencing in the back. Polite, hard working and quality workmanship. These guys are it!

This review is long overdue. I contacted Grass Stains in June to landscape my rental property in Hillsboro. Matt got back to me very quickly with a detailed plan for what I was looking for as well as great recommendations for plants, given that the property is tenant occupied. He was very responsive and communicative throughout, including a prompt reschedule of his crew due to rain. After 2 – 3 days, his crew installed a very nice paver patio and walkway as well as a surrounding plant bed. His price was extremely reasonable and was a pleasure to deal with — especially as an out of town landlord. My tenants and I couldn’t be any happier!
