Bark Blowers

I just had over 15 yards of bark blown in at our home, which had a ton of detail work and areas to spread. These guys did it all in an hour including cleanup! They even hopped out of the truck to blow what the truck left behind… I mean WOW! They listened and did exactly what I was needing. Thanks guys for making my home come to life!

This is my second purchase from Bark Blowers. I’ve been told I’m sometimes a slow learner. It must be true.
The first time, I bought a large scoop of their garden mulch. That product might be OK for flower beds, but for overseeding a lawn… huge mistake. Not only wood chunks but I think this product is derived from home compost pickups so I found chicken bones, plastic, and food scrap waste. AND it stinks.
So when Bark Blowers sent me a $ 20 off a $ 100 purchase coupon, I thought I’d give them a try with a different product. So I explained to the courteous and hard working office worker, loader/​unloader/​cashier I needed a product for covering fresh lawn grass seed. And I’d like to buy three, $ 35 loads and use my $ 20 coupon.
My RECENT $ 35 (1 yard) of «5 way Brahma SOIL» looked much better… dry. But it too had wood chunks ²⁄₃ the size & shape of a pencil. Looks good until watered. Then the chunks appeared.
Oh… and the $ 20 coupon… Like so many, another «gots ya, sucker». Have your lawyer take a good look at those coupons.
So other than their only «soil» product isn’t soil, and their coupon is worthless, they seemed real nice.
Too bad, so sad.

I highly recommend using bark blowers! The guys that came out to blow in, lady Island mulch did an awesome job! They were very efficient and let me know that, this particular product has to be blown in very slowly, since it is dense. I recommend calling a few weeks before having the work completed, as they get very busy during spring and just before summer.

We are incredibly pleased. They helped estimate over the phone, and called us the day before with an approximate time.
Today they called on their way, and they’re doing a great job! The techs are helpful, knowledgeable, and thorough. Our yard looks amazing, without hours of backbreaking work. Highly recommend if you have large areas to cover. Thanks!

Barkblowers has NO business being in business. We’ve been waiting a full week for an onsite quote. No call, no communication just never showed up after making two appointments. Clearly unreliable, unprofessional and inconsiderate. We will move forward with another company. They don’t deserve even one star!

Oh what a lousy experience. Let me count the ways:
1) we got no help in recommending an accurate amount of mulch needed. We live in the city, so it’s safe to assume we don’t need a lot. When we told them the square footage we needed to cover, they recommended «two units.» How much is two units? Yeah, we didn’t know either. But naively, we relied on them to be experts.
2) And guess what? It’s too much. And not a little too much. We have the equivalent of two Honda Accords in front of our house. Which is about one and a half Honda Accords too much. So much for expertise.
3) When we called to voice our concern, we got Heather. Heather was incredibly rude, incredibly self-​righteous and her only solution was to «spread it on thicker.» Heather apparently would like us to add another mile or two of crust to the Earth’s outer layer. But only in our yard of course.
Bottom line: not only is this expensive but it’s a big effing hassle to have a mountain of mulch in front of our house. No Craigslist «Free» ad is putting a dent in this stuff any time soon.
Save your money. Go elsewhere. Or look on Craigslist. Chances are, our mulch is still listed!

I was incredibly pleased with the service I received from this company. When I called for a quote I was given extra options that might be more cost effective. I called back the next morning to put in an order and was again given amazing service over the phone. They were able to come deliver the bark that same day. The two gentlemen that came to blow in the bark were very polite and sweet about letting my kids watch them work. They did an excellent job and cleaned up all the overblown bark. It looks absolutely amazing and the price was very reasonable.

When visiting the Bark Blowers website, this company boosts their fantastic customer service as friendly and professional. We had a VERY different experience and I have actually never been so caught off guard by the treatment I received when calling to confirm my appointment. We set our appointment well in advance (several weeks) and it was confirmed by a vm from their office the night before that they would be arriving at 11. I made sure to be home from work for their arrival, when I called at 12:15 to inquire where they might be, I was greeted by an employee whom did not give their name, I inquired about my delivery and was rudely informed that his company does not EVER give times of delivery; my response was «I had a voicemail confirming the time of delivery». Instead of trying to find common ground and a solution for a customer service issue, he shot back that «I was incorrect and he didn’t understand why we were arguing about this situation». My response was, «I agree I don’t understand why we are either as I have a confirmation voicemail from one of your employees and I’m the customer»!
Again, he cut me off and responded that «his behavior was just who he was and he wasn’t going to apologize for it». At this point, I was done having an argument and moved on asking him to look for our delivery and around what approximate time I could expect them. He asked for my name and address and after putting me on hold, told me there was no delivery scheduled for today. A blatant lie.
Thinking I had reached a different office, I said goodbye and called another office. This time, I reached a woman at their Tigard location and asked her the same question, not knowing that she was actually in the same office with him. She found us in the system and I asked her when we could expenct delivery. While she was checking, I asked her if she was in the same office as the man I had just spoken to and she said, «yes, he’s the owner». At this point, I asked her to please cancel my delivery, as I was not doing business with any company that had that type of customer service.
The comments he made to me, not to mention the tone of his voice, interrupting me and loudly talking over me were so upsetting that I have actually taken the time to file a formal complaint with the BBB. In all of my years, I have never been compelled to do this about a company and I want to get the word out to everyone that is considering using this company. There are many other company’s out there that provide this same type of service, I caution you to investigate before you spend your money supporting this type of unprofessionalism in our community.

I was very pleased with both the pricing and the service using Bark Blowers. They were less expensive than the competition, and the crew did a great job. Nice and thick, clean fresh bark. They also did a good job with the clean up and no damage to our plants. Even though they had a truck malfunction that caused a reschedule to the next day, the communication was great from the office. The crew was on time, quick and super-​friendly. Good job all around. Highly recommended.

We ordered some mulch for our yard from Bark Blowers. They have a very friendly staff, who patiently showed us the different kinds of mulch they have. The mulch was delivered on time exactly as ordered. Great job!
