My first time today, best Gyros I’ve had in Portland. The Staff was very welcoming, i have to try everything on the menu now! The Lamb Gyros, the best!

A bit on the expensive side– but EXTREMELY generous portions. Go when you are hungry.

My favorite Greek place! I order the lamb gyro platter. Get both the spicy garlic and the tzatziki. Amazing!

Quick and delicious, fast and substantial gyros. $ 9 for a chicken shawarma combo. Was a lot of food. Made this bear happy. Thank you, I’ll be back!

Was surprised as to how delicious the kabob combos especially how they seasoned the meat– chix, beef and lamb. I didn’t even know I was eating lamb. Very tender and melts in your mouth! Awesome Mediterranean food goodness and healthy too!

For such a small place they sure do, crank out the food. They get a lot of walk in customers. I think its smart to call in a TOGO oder. You may be waiting for a little bit if you walk in like we did and order a bunch of food. The place isn’t fancy but it’s clean and there is plenty of seating. My buddy got a combo plate. I had a Lamb Gyro with the works. I tell you what. For less than $ 7.00 I got a huge gyro. I barely got through it and I can eat(too much) my fair share. For where it is, they must do well. They even have other employees now. I wish Grab A Gyro many blessings. So I can keep getting all the yum they have to offer.

Very good little gyros spot. They’ve got a cheap gyros, curly fruits and a drink special that’s way too much food to eat. Also, they’ve got a terrific tabouli salad. It’s always fast and has friendly service.

This place is a very welcome addition to the restaurant wasteland of outer SW Portland. It’s not often a family of 4 can eat a relatively healthy, fresh meal for under $ 30 but this is the spot. I’m very happy they opened and offer delicious fresh food in a clean, friendly environment at fair prices. The gyro meat is the real deal where they slice it off the spigot-thing that the meat rotates on. The only thing I wish they had was their own bread but you can’t have every thing in life. This place is a definite must-go if you like gyros.

Delicious. Can I just leave a one word review, if I could that would be the most important word to describe this place. It doesn’t look like much, it’s clean, sparsely decorated, looks like a grab and go kind of joint, which it probably is. You can expect the usual«gyro place» menu here. The customer service was great, I walked in and was offered a sample in seconds, food was delivered hot and fresh within minutes of ordering. I ordered a lamb gyro and Greek style fries, the fries were ungreek when I got them, this was quickly rectified by the very friendly counter staff. The gyro meat was moist and very well spiced, the Greek fries were awesome. I would say this is the best gyro with meat off a spit I have had in Portland, they have a kabob lamb gyro I will try next. I will definitely be coming back here, you should too.

BESTPLACEEVER! I actually went in two days in a row after I first tried it. It is absolutely worth it, especially if you’ve never had it before. Me and my boyfriend went in with high hopes and they did not disappoint. & not to mention the prices were perfect for the food you’re getting. 10 out of 10!

I have never been a gyro lover but after this awesome lamb gyro I’ve changed my mind. Tender sliced lamb was seasoned perfectly and with the added Feta cheese and their spicy garlic sauce it was delicious! Huge sandwich which I was barely able to finish for lunch and probably won’t need much of a dinner tonight, still stuffed. I’ll definitely be back soon.

This place makes an addictively tasty gyro sandwich! The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are awesome and the prices are fair. What more could you want? The lamb gyro sandwich(with feta cheese added) is my go-to order, but the salads are also very good! The owner is a super nice guy, you can tell he really cares about his customers!

I was REALLY craving Greek/Mediterranean food, and this was the closest place to where we live. Based on the reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I wasn’t disappointed. We ordered a beef/lamb gyro plate with twisty fries and a chicken shawarma platter with lentil soup. It was all great! We weren’t disappointed. They season everything thoughtfully. The gyro was overstuffed with yumminess. The fries were scrumptious, and something about them made them memorable and better than most fries. The platter was delicious and a lot of food. The soup was good. The sauce that came on the side was our favorite! It was a bit spicy, and it was great with everything. — - — - - The service was friendly and helpful. They greeted us, and they asked if we had questions. — - — - - Overall, it was a good experience, and if I am ever craving Greek food again, I would definitely go back.

Returned again to Grab a Gyro and I’m updating my review to comment more on customer service. The staff are friendly and help create a comfortable and welcoming environment. We went when it was a bit busier and we ordered a lot of food, so we waited a bit longer than expected but we were ok with that. Once our food was ready, one of the staff gave us some free pita bread and their house made hummus for the long wait. Conclusion: great service and I’ll keep coming back. Also their hummus is delicious. It’s the creamiest hummus I’ve ever had and has great flavor.

Homemade yummy food! Their lamb gyro is definitely big enough for two people and I recommend adding feta and garlic sauce. My boyfriend had the Greek fries and they were very tasty as well. We took some baklava to go and ate it the following day. It’s very buttery and worth trying. The service is very friendly, but can be slow at busy times. I also found the temperature in the small restaurant to be a little too warm, but it won’t stop me from going back. Update!!! I went back on a hot day recently and they seemed to have the temperature indoors under control. The visit was top notch as usual. They even let my daughter try the chicken and lamb to see which she liked better.

Best of Barbur Blvd… and that says a lot! I admit I almost passed this place up. That stretch of Barbur just West of Portland to Tigard proper is kind of a dump. A few cool old signs that keeps you wishing the flux capacitor was real and you and Doc Brown could go back and drive down Barbur back in the day when it was old school cool. Well, I can attest that there are still a few signs of life on the classic Portland Westside drive, and a good stop for lunch or dinner is this place. From the outside, it looks like yet another tacky low budget franchise. I could not have been more wrong. I opted for the veggie mezza plate, a great mixture of everything veggie and it did not disappoint. They even grill some fresh pita breads for you. Need more sauce? Just ask they whip it right out to you. How was your meal, do you need anything? They want to know. Everything tasted very fresh, and the falafel was much better than I expected. Crispy, garlicky, and well prepared with fresh spices and parsley. They do mediterranean food here and do it well. Scratch made hummus, baba, falafel, salads, sauces, and a couple gyro wheels make this place fire on all cylinders. I’ve never seen a staff more«on it» at this type of place. Very warm and friendly, and they eagerly offer up samples. Great menu with various sandwich and full plate options. Plenty of veg for the vegetarians like myself, and enough meat for the cavemen among us… or yuppie Paleo Moms! I will be back for sure. It’s quick, it’s got a great atmosphere, a tv for the game, and you certainly feel cared about. Your tummy will be full of garlicky goodness, and for a half hour you can forget about being stuck in traffic having to gaze over at signs inviting you for an oil change, office space for lease, or one of those naughty private room strip clubs. Great Scott!!!
