Saturday night food options were limited to cheese or pepperoni pizza or a hummus plate with juanitas chips and green bell peppers. We chose the hummus plate and really enjoyed the improv show(a Star Trek character-themed show.) We’ll be back and recommend reserving a table for their next improv show!

Happy hour prices are great and seriously? Dominatrix led improv? Super fun. Go into the clown room. There’s a jack black looking clown, bill Murray, and Jason Bateman. But that’s just what I saw. I hope this place catches on. Even though I want to keep it as my own special little secret funhouse

This is a late review. My husband and I went to see the Golden Girls on our birthdays. When I tell you this was HILARIOUS it’s an understatement! Loved it and well worth it! Great ambiance and good drinks.

3 ½ stars. We just went for a drink during a show night(drag Golden Girls show, ha) so ended up in the über creepy Clown Room. I don’t like clowns and the room is the stuff of nightmares. Thank goodness they serve drinks! Found the bar tending staff very cool and helpful. A show night could be fun, see what’s playing before you go.

I liked the ambiance, it was filled with regulars and I adored the bartender. The music wasn’t much to my taste in the main room but different music was playing in the front room so that was better — and also quieter. Even though the place wasn’t filled, it was quite loud especially for a weeknight around 6−7ish. Happy hour was still on, I believe. I was there to drink and to eat — yeah, in that order, prior to an event and I can’t recall the food menu at all. I didn’t eat so there must not have been anything on there that was calling to me… or it was all gross. I went to their website but they don’t have a menu posted. They didn’t have my brand of rum(yes, it’s a tired refrain) but the bartender said she’d mention it to the person who did the ordering. Did I mention I loved the bartender? She was drop dead gorgeous with a personality to boot. I’d mention her by name but I didn’t get it. She was so helpful since I had no intention on leaving without at least one cocktail in me and girly drinks are always the second choice when good rum isn’t available. I had *the* most girly drink ever — the birthday cake. It was something like whipped cream vodka, vanilla liqueur and… I should have taken a picture of the menu because I’ve forgotten at least three other things. Luckily for me they were out of whipped cream because whipped cream doesn’t belong on cocktails unless they are made of ice cream. And isn’t that a whole ‘nother conversation in itself? Anyways, she made me a version of the birthday cake shot which was very interesting. It even had that flat feeling you get on your tongue when you drink or taste real cream or whipping cream. Very interesting. The bartender totally made the place. I’m definitely going to go back and give it another go. Perhaps they even have a jukebox that I can hog. That would make it even better! Almost forgot, they have a great covered outdoor seating area. It’s easy to miss when you are single-minded and walking through the front door but it was nice out there as well.

Cool venue décor. The food isn’t something to write home about. Service is ok but takes awhile because it’s not a true kitchen. Go there for the entertainment only

Loved it, but have only been once to a «superhero» show. Their improv is smart and confident, no blundering showboats, which is usually the case w improv. Makes me wonder if theyre all bff’s, cuz it seems like they really«get» eachother. I really really wanted to see their goldengirls show and missed it due to bad timing on my part. Wish they would do it again! I had several drinkies there and they were fine, nothing special, same w service. Seatings tight, but I like it better that way for comedy

How nice! We got lost and went to the wrong theater… We got there late and they were super nice and got us seated and got us updated on what was going on and got us seated! I plan on coming to more shows!

The play Buffy the Vampire Slayer was great! It was listed as pg13 but had some really bad bad bad language that was offensive. I will not eat there again. I had something that was like pizza but I’m hoping I won’t be sick later on.

Saw Puppet Fight Club 2nite. The first rule of puppet fight club is you do not talk about puppet fight club. I broke the first rule. Don’t talk about it! The funhouse lounge is so much fun it’s in the name. I was hoping it would be a fight club parody done with puppets as I have enjoyed the buffy parody so much but it was Improv with puppets. Who’d a thunk it. Good comedy, good music, good show.

they host lumbertwink once every few month so that speaks very highly of them :) as a bar it’s pretty great. good circulation and lots of spaces to explore. easy access to the bar on both sides. outdoor area is huge. dance floor just big enough to make it feel busy and exciting. as far as bars go, this one is a-ok and at least offers something a little silly and different from your average bear… ah hem, bar.

I’ll keep this short and sweet– $ 5 bingo. Improv. Cheap drinks. Hilarious staff. How the heck can you give them anything less than 5 stars?!

I really don’t know what people are complaining about – i’ve been here many many times and have never had a bad experience. It is a LOUNGE not a theater, it is IMPROV not Shakespeare. Take a chill pill and have some fun. Great food, even some unexpected delectables, such as Thai slaw. Great entertainers who know how to have fun and can(and do) relate to and interact with their audience. Great philanthropy. Every time i’ve been there, they’re donating proceeds and taking donations for great organizations. Last couple times it has been CAP(Cascade Aids Project). Great location — easily accessible from downtown, I-5, 99E, etc. Yes, it’s street parking, but that shouldn’t be surprising as it’s in SEPDX. Gives you a chance to walk off the yummy foods and drinks you’ll be consuming. Oh, and Rusty Trombone Senior Center drag bingo? YESPLEASE!

Don’t waste your time or money on this place unless you want rude service !!! No one there has any idea how to give good customer service. There are plenty of other places to go to in this town. If you want to be treated like crap and pay for over priced watered down drinks then by all means go and give them your money. I will NEVER go back and I will make sure to tell everyone I see that this place is a joke and a waste of space. I hope they close soon.

My husband and I came here to see batboy the musical. It’s an ok venue but not anything fantastic. I’m not entirely sure what the clownroom is about or exactly what funhouse is about either. It’s pretty small and I would say at $ 25 a ticket for the show it was overpriced. People were a bit packed in and there was no air and became very hot and stuffy. The show was fun though. I don’t think I would visit again unless I really wanted to see a show there.

Monday is my Saturday, and just about every Monday, I’m bummed that Funhouse isn’t open on Mondays. Funhouse is awesome. The staff are great. The drinks are strong and decently priced. The food, well, it’s edible. They have hilarious circus décor and more hilarious theater productions are not to be missed. We recently went to see Dr Horrible’s Sing Along the musical here, and I almost peed my pants. Geriatric bingo on Sunday evenings is definitely worth a visit. There’s a nice outdoor seating area for summatime, and creepy ass clown rooms full of games. Do it!

We went here for a New Years eve event. Even before going, I was worried about how small this place is. The place is set up more as a comedy club than a dance club /bar. The sound system was OK — there was little or no light show. The bartenders were SLOW; it took over 20 minutes to get a drink. It took about that or longer to use the bathroom. There were some massively rude, pushy patrons that looked out of place. While I have been to worse places, I won’t willingly go back. It can accomodate about 100 people comfortably. They have a large patio — but nothing was happening outside.
