Low key, strong drinks, friendly owners. Try the crab puffs, you really can’t go wrong there. Love coming here, perfect local spot.

Been going here for a few years. It used to be a good chinese restaurant then it converted to a bar for some reason. Luckily they kept the best menu items. Potstickers and walnut shrimp are excellent! Good bartenders who know how to pour a drink and free pool. It is a seedy 82nd ave dive but I like dives. If you don’t just order some takeout. You won’t regret it.

What an 82nd anomaly. Gnarly little dive bar/shack but they serve friggin awesome Chinese food! wtf. It really is pretty damn good though. So far have tried bbq pork lomein, and shrimp kung pao, and both were awesome. Shrimp was actually really fresh. If you’re feeling crazy and hungry, go grab some Chinese here.

I feel compelled to write a review for this place… 8:30 — 9:00PM New Years Eve. We(gf and I) were driving down 82nd and were trying to find a bar to get a quick drink. We randomly chose this place… As we parked in the lot, we noticed Chinese writing above the door way. Sweet! This place is already perfect. Walk in and was greeted by a very nice and happy bartender wearing a santa hat. Ordered a couple drinks and walked over to the pool table. The place is one giant, grimey, dungenous room, well not giant maybe like 600 – 650 square feet. Bar area, video lottery, seating and tables, TV, darkish lighting, maybe 5 – 7 people were in at this hour. Bathroom was remarkably clean for such a divey place, but it’s possible it’s because it was dead when we went. Being an asian from SF, my standards for chinese food is pretty high and most of Portland is extremely hit and miss to me. We decided to order something safe… pot stickers. I have to say, the pot stickers were legit. :) I downed two pendletons while shooting about 6 – 7 games of pool. Their table is well balanced and rolls great! The sticks need an upgrade though… We unfortunately had to leave for a family event but if it wasn’t for that, I was having such a great time I would have had my news years there if it was up to me! If I lived in the neighborhood this would definitely be my GOTO bar. I can easily see myself getting wasted, playing pool and eating chinese food all night. Sounds like heaven to me even though it looks like hell inside. If I am ever around you can bet I am coming back! P. S. While my review is positive, this definitely ain’t no place to take a date unless she’s into this sort of thing. This place is as real as a bar can get. I love it but a classy lady will likely be to scared to even step inside just due to creepy aura it gives off at night… next to a gas station. Good Luck!

went here while randomly exploring 82nd. reviews seemed pretty accurate. pretty good chinese food(though i woulnd say amazing), cheap drinks, The Daily Show on the television, pool table, and really nice people. not fine dining, but if youre looking for a bit to eat and a drink for cheap, and prefer a dive bar/local feel, then this is a good place. we will return.

This is my favorite Chinese food ever. Been a frequent customer here for over 10 years. All the dishes are fantastic. And John the cook puts so much love and passion into what he does. A very dedicated hard working family owns this place. You should come support a wonderful local business and enjoy the food

Good option for take-out, steer clear if you’re looking for a spot to grab a drink. I ordered Chinese take out, shrimp fried rice, from this odd little bar and was not disappointed with the food. The rice was delicious and the shrimp were full on massive pieces of high quality meat. It was $ 8.95 for a carton and I would order it again. What might stop me is the gross atmosphere. The restaurant appears to be in a converted Pizza Hut(if not that, then it was definitely something else before it was a Chinese restaurant/bar) and it’s a small, cluttered mess of irregular bar, gambling machines, and tables. Even though it took me just 2 minutes to pick up my order, I felt like I was in there way too long. They have good food, but I am an atmosphere snob so this place just wasn’t for me.

Yuck! Yuck! and Yuck! Deep fried, over cooked veggies and super salty food. Eat at your own risk!

Probably the best«American Style» Chinese cuisine in outer southeast Portland. Yes, it’s lots of battered, fried, slathered sauce that is probably 90% corn starch and very light on the vegetables. But, that makes it comfort food for me.

I go here for lunch a couple of times a month. A friend told me how good the mongolian beef was so I stopped after work to try it. It was the best I have ever had. I usually pay extra to get the fried rice. It is great and I usually can barely eat it all. Great value and great food!

First time visit. Atmosphere not as «lacking» or «boring» as I expected, thanks for setting the bar low fellow Unilocalers! It seemed like a husband/wife team running the kitchen/dining area, respectively. She was very friendly and explained a couple dishes to us that we asked about. We ordered the Honey Walnut Chicken and Pepper Salted Squid. Both were very tasty, the portions were large and the sauce on the Honey Walnut Chicken tasted homemeade, while the Pepper Salted Squid arrived at the table piping hot with tender bites of lightly battered squid that were nicely seasoned. The only issue was that our tummies ached a bit for the rest of the evening, probably on account of both of our dishes being battered and fried, with very little vegetables to balance. I was expecting a little more Vietnamese fare there besides Phở. Maybe there were some Vietnamese specials on the board, but I didn’t notice it until the end and it was written in Chinese and Vietnamese only. I imagined the place as Vietnamese food with Chinese option, but it was more the opposite. I’m sure we’ll be back sometime, but might skip on the breaded/fried items.

This place is fantastic! The food is amazing! We discovered this place about 6 months ago and at first I was hesitant to even go in. Its clean but it is very bright and boring, I figured the food would be equally as boring… it’s not! The owners and servers are very friendly, they have a wonerful menu and specials. We now go there at least twice a week and we have got several of our friends and family to try this place and they are equally as addicted as we are. If you want good chinese check this place out, wayyyyyyyy wayyyyyy better and cheaper then the Canton up the street.

This place has great specials even if it isn’t Wong’s King. The crispy chicken is topnotch, the veggie dishes are done perfectly, but the crab puffs need more stuffing. You can get full here for under $ 15, which is what counts. Atmosphere is lacking though…
