Tastes like better quality and more fresh than other comparable places, I.e. Muchas gracias. Always has tasted good!

Hard to say which is better… this place or Rigoberto’s on McLoughlin Blvd. Regardless, all was amazing. Ordered a carne asada torta, which is big enough for two meals and only $ 5. Came with a plentiful portion of meat as well as guac and veggies. Also ordered a wet burrito for lunch the next day, which surely did not disappoint. Cheese and meat, that’s what it’s about for me! Friendly service and a variety of salsas to choose from. If you like hole-in-the-wall Tex Mex, this is the place! Indoors is shabby but to be expected to keep prices down.

Food Poisoning Waiting To Happen! I used to eat here all the time. One day I went in and ordered some take out taquitos. While I was still at the counter I saw a girl pull a large lard packed can of shredded meat from under the ledge. She opened it with a can opener, then grabbed a spatula right off the grill and scooped a large pile out and slung it on the flat top. As I watched the lard bubble away from the shredded beef I was horrified and disgusted. There is no chance that that was sanitary or healthy. I would never feed that to my family and now I just can’t eat there.

Ordered a tamarindo and a carnitas burrito. They gave me a jamaica, which I then had them switch for the correct drink. When I got home I unwrapped my burrito to find a potato and egg breakfast burrito… So, 0⁄2 on getting my order right. I had a feeling they weren’t listening that closely when I ordered, but what can you do… Other than never eat here again.

I stopped at a highly rated food truck that was closed due to a «power» problem. I asked for a recommendation and they said, «maybe Don Pedro». Unfortunately it was disappointing. The people at the counter could not have been nicer and the restaurant was clean, but my Breakfast Burrito fell short. The sausage was dry and had a greasy flavor. The potatoes were way too soft and had a poor consistency. The cheese was not fully melted! Too bad, I was looking forward to a good meal.

My boyfriend and I are simply ADDICTED to Don Pedros!!! Not only is the food consistently good but it’s well priced too! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the veggie burrito with sour cream and avocado added(little tip: if you don’t like wilted or soggy lettuce then order it without because the heat from the beans wilts the lettuce ridiculously fast) They have a little condiments(different salsas), garnishments with cilantro, spicy carrots/onions/jalapeño pepper mix(its a like a spicy pickle mix… delicious! My b/f gets enough to cover his entire burrito!), pico de gallo(onions, tomatoes, jalapeños, cilantro), plain cilantro, radishes, and jalapeños in a slow cooker. The salsas are all very good ranging from mild to hot. I cannot have my burritos without radishes now because of this place! They are also always fast with our order! We eat there almost once a week! ENJOY!

I’m a fan. Friendly staff. Inexpensive and delicious, authentic Mexican food in PDX. Yum! I’ve been here a couple of times and will return again. I love the selection and the salsa bar. Last time here, I got a couple of carnitas tacos. Oh my, were they good!!!

Cheap prices, decent food, and they’ve scored 100 on their inspections which I always appreciate. They get 3 stars because I’ve been coming here for years, and the wait in the drive thru on weekends is ridiculous, and your order when you finally get through has a 50% chance of being incorrect it seems. Sour cream, guacamole, extra tortillas and things of that price are all extra on tacos, etc and often forgotten. When the orders right, the foods worth it though– the nachos, huevos rancheros, breakfast burritos and wet burritos are all delicious. The food is better and more authentic than many places around– the reviews I read that claim Muchas Gracias(though several of them spelled it wrong…) is better crack me up. Come here if you’re willing to wait, and receive hit or miss service for some good food.

Love this place. Big portions and often enough to fill us up plus leftovers. If I have a huge appetite, I might eat the whole thing and feel like a pig, oink oink. Our favorite is the 3 enchiladas plate, chicken or mild pork at $ 7.75. Comes with beans and rice, and a bit of shredded lettuce topped with a spoonful of guacamole and sour cream. If I take-out, I always add sour cream at home. Either way, eat in or take home, bring bring your big-boy appetite. Another favorite is the burrito and it is rumored to be nicknamed by some, «The 1 Pound Burrito,» and it might actually weigh that much. Their breakfast burritos are huge too, and an excellent choice if you’re on the run in the morning.

We had the cheapest date night of my life. She had quesadillas, I had a horchata and 2 carnitas tacos. Like $ 9, holy shit. I will be back, probably tomorrow. I’ve ate at a number of taquerias in my life, some in california, some in mexico. I really like Don Pedro’s. Some things they need to improve: — I’m a fan of tortilla chips, I know they’re not traditional, but I’m white and I like them. Wish they had those. — The menu is confusing as all get out. Probably easy if you’re hispanic and used to that style, but I’m dependent on menus as I dont know what stuff is or what to ask for. Turns out they have lots of burritos(says other reviews), no where to be seen on the menu. Otherwise, yum yum.

I love Mexican food, there’s just something about the authenticity that takes me to a place that I’ve never physically been. In my opinion Don Pedro’s is the worse Mexican food I’ve tasted in Portland! I can name three places that taste way better right off hand: King Burrito, Javier’s and Muchos Gracious. There are also great places on Alberta. Anyways, I ordered the carne Asada taco and a carnitas taco… Both of them were dry and lacked flavor. I was glad that was all I ordered for myself because I hate wasting food. My bf ordered the beef fajitas with extra beef, serious it was flavorless. I wasn’t a fan of it at all and the rice and beans didn’t taste too good either. Could’ve been a bad time… Could’ve just been our order but we know one thing for sure: we won’t be returning to see! Happy Unilocaling…

Follow me for a moment if you will. 1) This is a dive-ey taco shop. 2) With the best breakfast burritos known to man, filled with soft potatoes, gooey cheese and hot bacon, all wrapped in a grilled tortilla. 3) For $ 5. 4) That you order from your car. Bow before your master.

The food here is simply delicious and the prices cannot be beat. From an assortment of $ 5 burritos that can easily make 2 meals to combination plates with your choice of fillings from meat to chicken, cheese or pork to mega breakfast plates with french toast-Don Pedro has you covered. As far as spices goes they have you covered as well with a salsa bar containing very spicy and mild salsas, as well as pico de gallo, roasted onion, pickled jalapeño escabeche and radishes. With hours that cannot be beat Don Pedro’s is open very early and stays that way until very late. No wonder why the place is always busy but never crowded. You can get a late night plate of nachos before heading home to crash or the next am you get get a delicious and cheap breakfast after a hard night or partying. Simply put, at Don Pedro’s there is something for everybody and prices that match. Definitely one of my faves.

No one has bigger dreams, than Don «Ok. Orphans! Listen to me. I know it is fun to drive-thru. A nice burrito to the face… or a chimichanga to the face… but you cannot do it. Because, I have picnic tables in the back and it is messy to wrestle in the car.» «I know the brewpubs get all the fancy ladies, and the bros, and the fancy hors d’oeuvres and potions. But my life is good! Really good! I get to wake up every morning, at 6 am, and make some menudo! It’s the best. I love it.» But to become a champion, he’ll need speed, style, and stretchy pants This summer, he’ll become their hero Pedro Libre

I ordered the Burrito Plate with a Chicken Burrito/beans/rice for my Nephew and ordered myself a Fish taco and Carne asada taco for myself, also, don’t go without getting some of the dollar tortilla chips, well worth the price. it came out to about 14 bucks for everything, which is reasonable. the food was very good, the people are friendly. The food is great, i enjoyed the Carne asada more than the fish. the flavor is a bit mild so i put some hot sauce on it and it perked it right up. My Nephew likes the rice and beans a lot and the chicken burrito is always a hit with him. it’s a good choice for sure if you’re hungry for some great authentic Mexican food without paying a heavy price.
