Columbia Clinic Urgent Care

Went in today with worst migraine ever. Walked in was the only person in the lobby, 2 employees are talking to each other behind the front desk counter, acknowledge me by saying «ill be right with you». I go sit down and i am never called back up. After 10 minutes, I approach front desk again asking if this is where i am supposed to check in for Urgent Care, and am told Yes with a glare from the receptionist that said to me «why are you interrupting us?» Sat down waited another 15 minutes, my friend asked when they would be seeing me. Receptionist said after we verify the insurance to make sure we take this insurance. Long story short, She didn’t ask the right questions about our insurance nor did their forms so she couldn’t verify it (do her job) correctly. I had to suggest to them what info to use to verify it and i am next told «i have a 30 dollar co pay». All i had on me was my check book so i go to write a check and i was told they don’t take checks. Since thats all i brought with me being so ill, i walked out after what i consider a fiasco. This place is a joke, I don’t feel they have the patient’s best interest in mind. Making someone as visibly sick as i was wait and in the end not being able to receive service is ridiculous. I will never return and recommend anyone needing Urgent Care avoid this place at all cost. Being treated as I was at the front desk makes me question how I would be treated in the exam room!!! The lowest I can rate this place is 1 star; i if I had the choice, I would rate them –10.

Never again the doctor yelled at me for wanting to put my kid on antibiotics and she was very impatient with my 8 year old with special needs
