Clogs N More Kids

We went in looking to buy a pair of shoes for our 15 month old grandson. We were excited to find a store that specialized in children’s shoes as we wanted to make sure they fitted well. The customer service we received was poor to say the least. We asked for some help, and when the two assistants had finished talking with each other, one walked over and passed the foot measure over to us to use, and declared he was a «7» from about 5 feet away. She then walked off before we could ask anything so she could get back to her conversation. At least once we had tried a few shoes on, the other assistant did come over to check that the pair we liked fitted, for that, we are thankful. It would have been nice to know prices as we looked at shoes, but we did expect it to be expensive. Having spent nearly $ 60 on one pair we left realizing that the two assistants had probably said a total of 10 words to us, and there was no one else in the shop…

So I can see that I am the only one to leave a more recent review, and they must have improved customer service! We are not wealthy people. I buy my children used clothes often altering them myself to make them fit. The ONLY items we ever buy new are shoes, undergarments and car seats. So after visiting Nordstroms and leaving disappointed and relieved that I don’t have to see these people daily, we found this shoe store for kids that carried the brand we wanted. I’m not married to the brand so when we chose a different brand for the first time in 3 years, I am still happy with the choice.
The store was not packed, but relatively busy for a Wednesday afternoon and there were two women there to help. We were immediately greeted and asked if we needed help and quickly shown to the right size. I really like how they have all shoes organized by size. It gave us a good selection of shoes to try on! They didn’t hover, but when it was time to try on the shoes, we were helped and the woman stayed with us until we were satisfied. She was also very helpful in explaining to my husband (who cringes when we spend money) why it’s not a good idea to buy shoes two times too big, and that they really wouldn’t last longer and we’d still have to buy new shoes in about six month to a year.
Needless to say, I was very happy with the customer service, the selection of shoes, and the price (NO TAX!!) so we will be returning in six months for the next pair of shoes and we will be planning on shopping here for our newest addition next year!
They don’t seem to have any sizes for teens, but then again, our teen would probably resent us if we took him to this store for shoes!

A few months ago I drove all the way from NW during rush hour to find them closed at 5:45. 15 min before their advertised closing With two kids. not cool!
This morning showed up at 10AM when they’re supposed to be open and the place is dark.
There are so many other options to buy the same kids shoes. I’m done with this place.

My family just moved to Portland and I was excited to find a local kids shoe store so close to my home as my two year old needed some sandals (the weather is much warmer here than I anticipated).
Well, it was the first week of September so OBVIOUSLY all the sandals are gone as the fall collection is now on display. I am also, apparently, a stupid person for asking if they had a different size in a pair of non-​sandals that I liked (did I see the size I wanted? No, then duh! they don’t have it). I won’t even begin to describe the way I was treated for asking if they carried Stride Rite shoes.
The only nice thing was that she recommended another store for me to try.
Wow — they will NEVER get my business.

Extra star because I think they’ve hired a few more helpful sales people recently (but Nordstroms is still better).

I love my son a lot and I want the best for him… well I want good shoes for him, so I’ll pay a little more. I also work hard at supporting local, I spend a bit more, I go out of my way to not shop at Nordstroms or other big places, but clogs n more kids has changed my mind about that.
Last week my 20 month old grew out of his shoes, so we went where we always go, clogs n more kids to get him some shoes. We found a pair, they were cute seemed like they fit according to the sales woman, we got them. My son wore them out of the store, he didn’t have any other shoes. A few hours after wearing them he stopped wanting to walk. I took off his shoes and his heels and pinky toe were bloody.
I tried exchanging them at clogs n more, They said the shoes fit him and that they would not take them back. They also said that the only way that they could exchange them was to contact the makers of the shoe to see if they would exchange them.
To me it is a no brainer… if the shoes are causing a 1 and a half year old’s feet to bleed they don’t fit and are defective. The clerk at clogs and more tried to explain to me that as a small business they wont make returns. She then tried to use Amelda’s across the street as validation for the stores policy. The difference between the two stores is that clogs n more kids sells shoes to infants and toddlers that are not able to say «Hay ! i don’t like the shoes» and rely on adults making choices for them. Where as Ameldas sells shoes to Grown ups, who should be able to tell that a pair of shoes don’t fit.
The sores on my sons feet are in really bad spots and keep cracking open, and his feet kinda look like a splatter movie. Its also causing him pain and frustration, playing at the park isn’t an option right now.
So Clogs and more are sending me to Nordstroms. And every day I will walk by them on my way to work (a local store), or to a play group, or the park and it will remind me how not to keep customers. Really all they had to do was fix the $ 46.00 shoe problem and I would have baught a new pair ranging from $ 38.00 to $ 70.00 from them every three months when my son grew out of his shoes, oh and there were also all my shoe impulse buys… that was a lot of money as well that will be going some where else. Oh and I have a big mouth and cant help but talk to other parents about stuff… hmmmm.
I think they have a really unsustainable return policy.

THE WORST EVER!!! Do not go in. The staff– and Jessica especially– are terrible. They don’t understand or like children. They can’t fit a shoe to save their lives. They’ll stick your kid in the wrong size, refuse to make it right, call you a liar, and then ask you not to complain. Trying to support local? Don’t do it here! You’ll live to regret it. Absolutely the WORST

I have been a loyal customer for many years, since my oldest son was about 4 (he’s 11.5 now). He has had many foot issues and has had to were orthodics in the past. The staff at this shop have worked with us consistently and patiently finding shoes that fit his orthodics. Without his orthodics now they work to make sure he’s got the right shoes that support him properly. Now with my 3 year old I have only purchased his shoes from ClogsNMore. The store is fun with toys, the staff are patient and give customers room to relax and allow the kids freedom from the torment of shoe after shoe. Both my boys love shoe shopping because of the calm and relaxed atmosphere and the plentiful toys!
