Cass Waxing

I walked in, warmly welcomed, to Cass’s cozy spot off the Max line. The room was ready for my hour of self-​care facial. Low light, tea lights, quality essential oils diffusing, and table warming for my arrival. This was one of the best hours spent, and as bonus my face feels amazing. Healthy, luxurious, self-​care for the win.

Cass is a dream come true! She’s a waxing professional with a keen eye and perfectionist work ethic. Super friendly and down-​to-​earth, plus she always has the best music playing! Fast, fair and accurate. She’s the bee’s knees!

I LOVE this place!!! Not only was it the quickest and least painful waxing I’ve ever had, but Cass was hilarious and put me entirely at ease. I loved the design of the space and rooms. I’m never going anywhere else.

Cass was so friendly, professional, easygoing, and competent. Her shop is very cute, her prices are more than fair, and I took home some of her products, which I really liked. The cream was highly moisturizing. Loved the facial, and I will be back!

Cass is such an amazing waxer! I come and see Cass every month. Seriously, she is so professional, fast and knows a ton about skin. Her homemade line of skincare products called «Lovely» is equally as awesome. I’ve used her face oils, bath balms, lotions, and I’m excited to use her infused body scrub and soap tonight. Cass is also the sweetest! Can’t say enough great things about her. You are in trusted good hands if you are a client.

Cass is amazing! I’ve been going to her for waxing for over a year now. For my first appointment, I’d never had a bikini wax and was rather nervous. She made me feel so calm and relaxed (and like all my unkempt body hair was not weird or gross, just a normal pre-​wax situation). She listened to exactly what I wanted, told me funny stories, made sure everything was comfortable and did a fantastic job! Cass is fast and very thorough.
As I got to know Cass more, I starting discussing various skin issues with her. She makes her own skin creams, bath salts, scrubs, serums, soaps… and also carries some other local oils and products. I love that they’re natural, and not chemical, and that she knows how our bodies respond to different oils and extracts. She’s been able to recommend wonderful things for my personal skin needs. She even made me a special face cream.
So, as she’s been helping me with my skin problems, I finally decided to get a facial. I don’t know why I waited so long! It was fantastic!!! I was so relaxed when I left, and my face felt like it was glowing. The face I woke up with this morning (I had the facial yesterday) looks the healthiest it has been in years. I feel refreshed, re-​hydrated, clean… but most of all, I feel pretty.
Cass loves what she does, and it shows!

Cass is beyond amazing!!! I used to go to Urban Waxx for my waxing but wanted to find another place to get waxed since I was not a fan of how they treated me more like a number in line rather than a person and since their cancellation and rescheduling policies are so strict.
However, about 6 months ago I found Cass Waxing and have been a loyal customer ever since! First off, Cass is just super nice, funny, warm, and very easy to talk to. She immediately makes you feel welcome and gives you polite, professional, and courteous service from beginning to end. Her professionalism goes beyond words and she is also very accommodating (she gives me a slight discount for being a college student). Lastly, when it comes to the actual wax — Cass’s work is by far and hands down the best! She is quick, efficient, and makes sure she gets every little last hair! I’ve been getting my Brazilian, full leg, and eyebrow waxes with her for a while now and I can honestly say that I wouldn’t go anywhere else in Portland for them. She is also very lenient and understanding about having to cancel or reschedule last minute (and does not charge a fee for doing so, like most places do).

I’m incredibly picky when I consider letting someone touch my skin. Today I received the best facial of my life. I’m in the business, I know a good facial. This one was fantastic. Cass has a calming touch and the best facial massage technique I’ve ever experienced. Her product is lovely. I look and feel gorgeous. I’ll be doing this monthly.

Cass makes waxing almost painless! The location is easily accessible with ample parking, and her space is welcoming and relaxed, filled with vintage objects she’s gathered. Her warm, friendly manner puts you at ease in what can be, at times, a tense situation!:) In a blink, you’re done!
Attention to detail and her flexibility with scheduling have kept me coming back regularly for years. I won’t trust just anyone with the daunting task of cleaning up down there, but Cass has proven herself time and again where others have not even come close–

Many, many years ago when I first moved to this fair city I found myself in need of a waxer. I was seeking out the elusive Brazilian wax. At that point I had a tiny bit of experience with these and that little bit of experience had taught me that not all Brazilians are created equally. Before making an appointment, it’s best to ask the esthetician what they wax during a Brazilian wax. You would think it would be a pretty simple question but most people had a hard time answering it in simple direct ways. I got a lot of «we wax all of down there.» Call me crazy but I’m not too keen on the idea of letting someone put hot wax on my vagina if they can’t use the word ‘vagina’. After 5 or 6 of these calls I called Wax On and spoke to a lady named Cass. She used words like inner and outer labia and didn’t lower the volume of her voice while saying them.
Finally, someone who’s not scared of vagina’s!
I made my appointment and found out she was just as direct and professional as she seemed on the phone. I quickly became a regular, returning every 5 weeks to keep things tidy.
Then I moved away. It was a sad and hairy time.
After a couple of years I realized that Portland is where I should be so I came back. Shortly after I was on the phone trying to make an appointment with Cass. That’s when I found out she was no longer there. You know that sadness you feel when you find out your favorite bartender or barista has left your favorite neighborhood spot? That semi-​irrational sadness that’s super hard to shake… that’s how I felt about Cass moving on.
Which is why I hunted her down and found her new place. It was worth it, Cass is just as awesome as ever and her new place is wicked cute (plus it has way better parking).
I read in another review that the reviewer looks forward to her appointments with Cass like she looks forward to lunch-​dates with friends. That’s exactly how I feel about it. Not only am I meeting up with a friend for some awesome conversation (that conveniently provides a great distraction) I’m also taking care of some personal grooming. It’s like the best of both worlds!
Simply stated, Cass is the best.

I’ve had the pleasure of getting my unwanted hair removed every five weeks by Cass since the fall of 2007.
After what I have dubbed The Great Eyebrow Massacre of 2006, it was a full year before I would let anyone get near me with wax. The waxing salon where Cass was previously was recommended to me, and I lucked out to get an appointment with Cass.
Cass is hands-​down the BEST eyebrow stylist on the earth. She does a fabulous job *every time*. I have nearly forgotten about my previous experiences (but not enough to ever cheat on Cass). She also waxes the naughty bits with precision and care.

I was given a gift certificate to see Cass when I moved here from Seattle. I waited WAY too long, but finally made it and now I want to come once a week! It is so soothing, clean and calm in here. And while the enzymes and lotions work their magic, Cass gives an AMAZING shoulder, arm, and hand massage. I am looking forward to going back VERY soon.

I love getting facials with Cass. Just had one and my skin is glowing! I also get waxing done. Super gentle and efficient! She knows her stuff because my skin is never red or bumpy.

Cass is the pinnacle of waxing excellence. She’s truly the best in the game and has an innate ability to put you at ease even in the most compromising of positions. Her studio feels clean, secure, and private with a door that locks and eliminates the possibility of strangers crashing the party. She uses a new stick for every dip and she wears gloves at all times.
I only state the obvious standards of comfort and hygiene because I’ve seen so many people and places in this town blatantly ignore them. Don’t go to those places. You’ll feel violated and sad. Go see Cass. You’ll feel fresh and happy.

After years of attempts, I had never respond well to waxing (icky redness & bumps EVERY time). Last year, I decided to give waxing one more go, since shaving was getting too time consuming. I went to Cass for my eyebrows, lip & legs… My experience with Cass was miraculous! My skin wasn’t red. There were no bumps… I can get waxed after all (just not by any olé’ waxer).
Cass has such nurturing & warm energy about her. I look forward to appointments. with Cass as much as I do lunch-​dates with my friends. She is wonderful! 5-​stars.
