Meh. I ordered the enchiladas plabano while my friends ordered a fajita salad and carne steak. They enjoyed their meals. My enchiladas contained no poblanos. It was plain chicken wrapped in a tortilla covered in a brown sauce that tasted of brown sugar. Blah. Skip it.

Second time here. I really like the beans nacho that come free when you check in. Good service. Good food that come in large portions.

I really enjoyed some changas(1 beef &1 chicken) at the Casa Fiesta. The flavors were authentic and the portions generous. Can’t wait to take my son there for tacos soon.

Blasé and generic by most standards. Service was fine but cuisine was nothing spectacular.

Decent food, not out of the ordinary. Nice portions. Pretty good service. Went on a Thursday afternoon and place was practically empty. Everything from hosting, serving, to paying was handled by one guy, who did it all with ease. I mean, he brought out all four of our dishes at once in one arm. And these plates were not small. I’m pretty sure he’d have no trouble even if the place was busy. Décor wise, very Mexican ranch house vibe. Thick, sturdy furniture, dark color palette. Very nice, lacks a bit of lighting though. Plenty of booth, table, and bar seating. You could easily hold a party here.

So there are a variety of different kinds of Mexican… I classify this as the«greasy» type — don’t get me wrong, there is a place for this in my culinary world! It’s not a place to try if you are looking for a light meal. That said, the flavors, food, menu, staff and drinks are all good. You will likely not have the meal of your lifetime here, but you will get a full belly and good service. I’ve been here a few times, and am always pleased that they have a special vegetarian section of the menu. The mushroom quesadilla, enchiladas and rice & beans are all good! Make note, the potato enchilada is essentially mashed potatoes in a tortilla(not much for flavor). The vegetarian chimichangas are also pretty good! Their margaritas are huge and you can get beer in a big stein as well! Drink specials and happy hour offer very cheap drinks! Try the mango margarita… you will not regret it! They also have a very large patio, great for sipping drinks on a summer night! And plenty of parking in the lot. Overall, if you are craving some cheesy, beany, Mexican goodness, give Casa Fiesta a try! P. S. Be sure to check-in, there is a sweet check-in offer!

Firstly, let me state that I am from NYC so my standards for food are very high. The Guacamole, while freshly made– avocados were not flavorful, the tomatoes pale, some of the cilantro was yellowed– was good, not great. My quesadilla tasted like there was nacho cheese inside(not shredded), and did not taste good– I ate very little. The rice was overlooked and lacked flavor and the beans tasted like they came out of a can. My husbands nachos came w premade nacho cheese, not fresh. The best part of my meal was the shredded lettuce and shredded cheese that came on the side of my plate. I would not come back.

This place is not good. You should really consider going to another Mexican restaurant in Portland. As other people have mentioned, the food is fried to the point of being unrecognizable and everything is covered in a thin canned cheese sauce. The vegetables were few and far between and not fresh. The atmosphere was dark and dreary. From my seat in the booth, I counted 20 blown light bulbs. To be fair, my boyfriend enjoyed his margarita and we haven’t gotten sick. Yet.

A pitcher of Margaritas, fresh guac and a sizzling veggie fajita, the perfect meal on a chilly day. Though it wasn’t the best food I’ve ever had I really did enjoy it. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for warm, both temperature wise and the décor. From the second I got out of the car I could smell the grilling steak which smelled amazing. The service was great as well considering the number of guests to the small number of wait staff. The important thing, the margaritas were great and the restaurant was clean and warm.

Gag me with a maggot. This is the saddest«Mexican» food In Portland. The nachos are smothered in some ungodly white canned cheese sauce. My daughter’s burrito was also smothered in the same sickly sticky stuff. The tortillas were stale. The salsa(also out of a can) was bland. I ate a little bit… I hope I’m not praying to a porcelain god later today.

A friend and I were in Maine for the holidays and stumbled upon this place thanks to Unilocal — our stomachs were stupid happy that we did! We ordered the fresh guacamole, chipotle chicken, and the chipollo chicken and were in love from the first bite. The food had a welcomed Texmex feel and made us wish we lived closer. Miguel, our waiter, was also extremely courteous and made the experience that must better. The only down side was the lack of signage in the front of the restaurant. The building holds two separate restaurants: the other, Thai cuisine, has signs all around but we just walked into the unmarked door hoping we’d found Casa Fiesta.

We have eaten here a couple of times and have been very happy each time. The food is quite good, with an extensive menu. The combo meals offer a great mixture of options if you have a difficult time making a decision. In addition to great food, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. There is a mariachi player on Friday nights who did a great job. We have found a new go-to Mexican restaurant!

Mariachi Singer Fridays! I have been here a few times, and recently began bringing the family on Fridays — the kids love the serenade, and the atmosphere. All the staff are very nice and the food is great as well! My husband is stuck on the carnitas and gets that same dish every time, while I like to mix it up and check out something different every time. This past time I got a combination dish that had a taco, 2 enchiladas, and tacitos(I think that is what they are called? it was a roll). All were good and very filling. The kids enjoy the selection as well and can order traditional Mexican or American cuisine. The margaritas are great as well… and huge. The price is right for a family of 5. Definltely worth checking out when you are in the mood for authentic Mexican!

Casa Fiesta is an ok option for tex mex in Portland, but there are better options in the area(I’d much prefer a Fajita Grill in Westbrook or El Rodeo in So Portland). This was our second experience there, we had the Carnitas(which were ok) and the Enchilada dish(the corn tortillas were not fully cooked) with all four filling options. Our friends had the steak burrito(it really is giant) and the nachos. The house margarita was ok — more sweet than sour. The server was friendly but neglected to refill our chip basket and our water, and forgot to return with extra tortillas for the carnitas(she brought them when I reminded her and asked for a box for my leftovers, and then removed the charge from the bill, which was very good). Overall, it was fine, and I’ll likely return if that’s where friends or coworkers want to go.

DONOT take a trip to Texas for the Tex-Mex with this place so near by! I was born and raised in SE Texas and was amazed that this place ranks right up with my favorites from back in Texas! Everything was incredible and I wish I could have tried so many more items on the menu.

Casa Fiesta is the latest restaurant in the location of death on Forest Ave. Will it survive? Probably not, but I hope they have a good run. The interior has been tastefully remodeled and succeeds in the Mexican theme. It looks a lot like Margaritas. The menu is surprisingly corporate. It feels like a chain, even though there’s only one other location(in Biddeford). There’s pages upon pages of the usual Mexican fare. An appetizer of fried jalapeños could have been in the frozen section of a supermarket. The guac, on the other hand, was fantastic. The server made it fresh from a cart at the table, and it was a winner. The chicken quesadilla was not crisp. It was limp and soggy. The burritos were the biggest I have ever seen. Double the size of Chipotle. They didn’t disappoint. We were there for a birthday party and the excellent server handled our table of 12 with ease. He had no problem with separate checks and the water and drink refills were constant. So while the food was hit or miss, the margaritas were a home run. The regular margarita was $ 8 and the grande was $ 10.50. Easy decision, right? Out comes a swimming pool of booze. It was the largest drink I have ever been served. After half I had to stop in order to avoid an OUI. These are a great value. Overall I’d recommend this restaurant. The food isn’t the best Mexican in the city, but it’s cheap. The service is great and the drinks are huge and strong. You can do worse for cheap and greasy Mexican.

Yummy quick Mexican at a good price! Probably the best place that has been in this«quick turnaround» spot. Table side guacamole was pretty cool and delicious! I had a small house margarita which was huge! Next time I’ll try the margarita with the corona. Went for Cinco de Mayo with a half off coupon which you weren’t supposed to use on a holiday but they helped us out! Will definitely go back!

Five of us including my granddaughter had dinner this past Friday night. Very busy but we were well serviced. We had a variety of dishes including tamales, chimichangas, fish tacos, shrimp quesadillas, etc. Everything was fine but not excellent. Much better than the chain places out by the mall and not overpriced like Zapotekas. Our only complaints, sauces were thin and the food was under spiced. I think they are being too judicious in not wanting to over tax the«Maine» palate. My gut feeling is they will take the positive comments and suggestions and become the«real» deal for us common folk.
