Date Visited: Friday 5÷23÷08(Dinner) This place is very convenient for bus users. I hopped the #6 from near the Convention Center and less than 15 minutes later, I was just outside the door to Carboni’s. I was there with about 20 others in Meetin. It took a while to order and it took quite a long time to get our pizza, but we were finally served. My pizza(a 12″ Margherita) was a bit well-done(lots of burnt bits). The tomato and basil topping was sufficient, but there wasn’t enough cheese to make it very interesting. I continue to be in search of a pizza that makes me remember how much I once loved pizza.

**Apparently used to be called Wildfire, now is Carboni’s** Hmmm. Went for a *long* walk around the new neighborhood that included a trip to the True Value on MLK. We walked a block or two from the hardware store and saw a sign for«pizza slices, 2.50» in front of Carboni’s. Having never been in, the looks of the place are very modern with big glass doors that let light and fresh air in. There is a sizeable patio out front, and its set back far enough from the busy MLK that I wouldn’t worry about getting run over while eating a slice out there(and I always worry about getting run over while eating). Anyway, so it looked nice enough, so we wandered in. Hmmm…Only one kind of slice was 2.50 — all the other were 3.50+. They had no slices prepared, so we had to wait *and WAIT* while he made an entire pizza just so we could get a few slices. I really appreciate fresh made food, I don’t want to sound ungrateful, but when I pop in somewhere for a slice, or a coffee, or a quick snack I expect it to be, well, quick. The toppings were certainly fresh, but the slice itself was a little lackluster. Not very big considering the almost 4.00 $ price tag and fairly greasy to boot. Overall: Meh.
