Cafe At Miracles

We decided to try this place out as we are not interested in waiting in the long lines at most of the other trendy breakfast spots in Portland. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by several friendly staff. We both ate the chicken and waffles and good easily say we had the best breakfast ever! Looking forward to coming back again for to try other menu items!

It’s now called Heavenly Taste Café. They catered a lunch event last Wednesday for our group and the food was excellent. Fried Fish, greens, red beans and rice, salad, baked chicken and cornbread were prepared with that loving touch that’s missing from most «soul food» these days.

Café at miracles is a nice cute little place The people they are wonderful I met a lot of great people they are today that I went but the waitress for that two of my items of my orders and I think I got put on the back of the ordering is because people that came in there after me receive their food before I did I don’t think that’s how Service is supposed to work

This place is cheap as hell, family owned, and delicious. Portions are generous as well and the service is incredibly friendly. Go here!

The service, the food, the feel. So good. I haven’t had good fried fish like this in years! Truly soulful food!

If you want good food, excellent service served as if it was cooked and brought to you straight out of heaven– then you’ve found the right place. The menu is one you would find in any Louisiana café– grits, southern corn bread, fried cat fish, smoked greens, pork chops, bar-​b-​que ribs, potato salad you want it, you’ll find it here or maybe the kids just want a burger and fries. I won’t even start on the deserts.
Like I said service with a smile, breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a quick snack, you’ll have the feeling that you belong here and you do. It’s not church but you will feel the anointing through the food that will nourish your body and the spirit that will nourish your soul. Some of the best soul food I’ve ever had, hard to find real Soul food in Portland. Its probably the best, kept secret in Portland. The smothered pork chops with rice and mac n cheese, superb. BBQ ribs have flavor, tender, and meaty. The owner and staff very personable, for me its like going home and eating some home cooked food, better than you can get at any restaurant. One final thought, the mac n cheese best I’ve had in Portland and I eat out alot. Bravo!!!

Profits go to charity (I think) so even though you can easily make this food in your kitchen, it’s beneficial!
