I moved to the neighborhood and was ecstatic to find there was a laundry lounge close by. Unfortunately it was too good to be true. Besides the actual building and the services, it provides the atmosphere of a rejected high school with the staff being completely rude and judgemental. I went to buy this laundry soap and the staff laughed and made fun of the choice I made. Do they even want people to buy it? Also the staff always barrels through you when you’re trying to navigate the«mat». If youre a real person and you just want to do your laundry in peace, this might not be a place for you

This place is super rad. Laundry is a bit expensive but they have free soap and a full café with drinks and espresso as well as wifi. Perfect place to multitask and chill while getting chores done. Everyone is so friendly too!

Love this place. Anywhere else I would have spent 30+ dollars on a huge laundry bag. theirs are only 8!

Spin doesn’t even need my review, because it’s so comfortably at five stars right now(and I can’t imagine that changing anytime soon). However, I do want to give my two cents because we were visiting from out of town and it was still one of the highlights of our trip! We were staying at a lovely AirBnB down the road and decided to make this a pit stop on our way to Mississippi on our last day in town. Everything was super, super easy — free soap and a free dry with a purchase from the café(which, did I mention, is a genius idea??) and to top it off, the machines were FAST. Maybe I’ve been stuck with my crappy apartment building’s laundry machines for too long, but I was blown away by the 30 min wash + 15 min dry cycles. It was almost too fast for us to get our coffee fix and a snack; we didn’t even have time to check out the arcade machines upstairs. If there was a place like this near us, I would for sure make a weekly trip out of it rather than use the tiny antiques in our building. Thanks Spin!

Best laundromat I have ever been to. Nice seating area and café with wine. Great music and atmosphere. The place is very clean and the attendant was very helpful and informative on how the machines work. The quickest and best machines I’ve used. In and out in 40 minutes with 3 loads of laundry. Doing laundry is always spendy, but I like the different sizes of washers available, so I can combine loads to save money.

My load of laundry stopped and there were suds on the inside of the door. I called over a staff member who said that they must be «left over». I’ve personally never done laundry and had leftover suds after the rinse cycle. Concerned that my laundry was still soapy, I asked if this was how the machine was supposed to function. The employee didn’t know and just shrugged her shoulders. She explained that less soap is needed for these types of machines and I acknowledged this and said that I had followed the instructions on the machine for the amount of detergent. She said that I could run another rinse cycle if I wanted to. I take issue with spending another $ 7+ for a load of laundry when I don’t think that the machine was functioning properly. She didn’t feel that the machine was at fault because it had been working fine all day. She then walked away from me. Nice job on the customer service. First and last time coming to this place.

This place takes all the bad stuff about going to the laundromat and makes it downright pleasant. Free soap, friendly and helpful staff, ultra fast washing a drying with oversized machines so you don’t have to do multiple loads, video games, tasty snacks, coffee, beer, good music. Cannot recommend this place enough. I drove past closer laundromats to go to this place.

The only thing I wish Spin Laundry Lounge had(but doesn’t) is a location closer to where I live. A remarkable laundromat filled with a diverse, never-boring cross section of this part of town. The interior design, concept, and execution are all inspired. This is what laundry should be.

I’m in Portland once and a while, and often end up Airbnb’ing a place with no washer/dryer(go figure, right?) Well I stumbled upon this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. GOODCHOICE. Whoever thought of combining a caffe and gameroom while waiting for laundry was absolutely genius. I finished all my homework there while waiting for laundry and sipping on coffee. They also have a game room upstairs.

What a cool Portland style place. You can pay with your card which saves you from needing to get cash back. Laundry soap is free! Hello, no need to lug your own soap. Enjoy a chai latte while you wait to put your duds in the dryer or play Ms. Pacman like my kid did. It’s the Chuck E Cheese of Laundromats.

They had many machines for use, a lounge area, café, and an arcade! What more could we need when doing laundry?!

For the first time in my life, I’m without in-house laundry. What a pain in the rear. Spin makes it better. –Cute, clean, trendy environment. –Machines that take cards, and send you text messages when it’s done. –New, high efficiency machines. –The fact that you can do 70lbs of laundry at once if you please. –Beer, wine and food. –Proximity to Mississippi and the ability to go grab food & drink over there as well. –Open late Basically you should go here, you won’t be disappointed.

This place is my favorite spot in Portland, it truly captures the fact that PDX is run by millennials. It’s a laundromat, with a lounge that serves alcohol, and a mini arcade upstairs with FREE Mrs. PacMan! Also, they sometimes play older episodes of Star Trek, which my boyfriend loves, and they always have some promo for FREE Dries!!! I’m not ashamed to call this place my go-to for Sunday Date Nights!

Let me start by saying: THISISTHEBESTLAUNDROMATINTOWN. I drive 15 minutes from my apartment, pay extra money, and hope and pray for parking, just so I can have a really nice laundry experience. Crazy? I think not… Why would I go to a mediocre, boring, soul-sucking laundromat around the corner from my apartment, when I can come to the wonderful Spin Laundry Lounge? They take cards at each machine(which text you when it’s done), free wifi, couches, coffee tables, and a wine/beer/café?! DID I MENTIONTHEWINEANDBEER? I mean, come on! There’s a nice arcade upstairs in their loft area as well. They give you free laundry detergent and if you«check-in» on Unilocal and purchase something from the café, they will take care of your dry time for one load. Does it get any better than that? You can have your laundry washed, dried, and folded in an hour, give or take depending on how fast you fold. And if you’re too busy or lazy to do your laundry yourself, then by all means, have them do it!

Been here twice in last month and I kinda dig it. Y didnt anyone think of this before. A place where chores dont seem as bad w decent tunes, games, sweets, paninis and ur friends might actually join ya for a drink in between wash cycles. You can even text and see how many machines are avail or when urs is done. Laundry lounge… only seems right in pdx. Happy hour=comp drying. Look for Emily in the eve shift… she’s super. Save a machine for meeeee!

Thank you, Spin Laundry Lounge, for making laundry significantly less miserable than usual. I could even say I enjoy doing my laundry here. This is officially the cleanest laundromat I have ever been to. Not only that, the design is awesome! The huge windows and enormous ceiling fans serve both aesthetic and practical purposes. There is plenty of seating throughout. PLUS, a connected café! This is seriously genius. I’m surprised this hasn’t been done before(that I know of, at least). Of course a fresh cup of coffee or a beer or a glass of wine would make doing chores more enjoyable. In fact, now we can make it a social event! Pressed for time, but promised a friend you would hang out with her? Make a date at Spin! Need to bring your family? There are pinball machines upstairs! Seriously, this place makes life so much better. Lastly, all this awesomeness is completely affordable. It’s comparable, if not cheaper than what I would pay in to use the machines in my building, and significantly more efficient. I go in with two weeks of laundry for two people, and walk out within 45 minutes. Ok, I admit, I save the folding for home, but still. HUGE and efficient washers and dryers… They also offer wash and fold, which is something I would normally flock to, but since the machines here are so quick and the space is so wonderful, I don’t even need that anymore.

The machines work well, they seem to play mostly classic rock. Which I like! This is a clean facility, the bathrooms are in good order and don’t reek of urine. There’s a loft area with a nice couch and pinball machines. I didn’t play but I know they work cause I saw some kids come in off the street to play. They will give you one free portion of detergent, and they’re friendly about it lol. The food was good, well better than good. It was tasty enough to make me wish I wasn’t sharing. It was 7 bucks for a sandwich and chips or Apple slices. The girl that helped my fiancé and I with our order wasn’t friendly, and it took her a few minutes to acknowledge our presence. So, she accounts for the subtraction of a star. I can almost guarantee though, she doesn’t run this whole joint and your experience would likely be different, should you choose to visit. They do serve beer and soda, water is free, tables are a clean it yourself situation, free wifi and it’s close enough to brewery’s, restaurants and food carts to walk to. All in all, this is the best laundromat in this part of town.

This place is awesome & the concept is super cool! Came here as a «tourist» to check out the scene, grab a drink and catch up with a friend. I love how all different walks of life come here … even a dog! I also liked the separated space from laundromat to café. Had their Alberta St Chai and a grilled cheese sandwich and it was delicious. Wish there was a place like this in California, but then again, Spin can be imitated but never replicated. I’ll return!

This is an interesting place, the café /coffee shop/laundromat. I have been here twice & not for laundry. I went to art up group of artists and enjoyed my coffee and pastry. Then a month later I was in the area and hungry. I popped back in as I remember they served panini sandwiches. I was not disappointed. My 3 stars is in regards to the pace of the service. The first time I was there it was a Sunday(12:30−1:30) and it was definitely busy. I understand the wait. I didn’t understand only one employee during this peak time. The second time it was also around noon but on a Monday. I was in no hurry, but also waited for a bit. And noticed just one employee and a peak hour.
