Love this funky place! Welcoming and friendly service, comfy environment, and tasty pizza on a Saturday night, and bonus… Star Trek on the TV! Dodge the rude crowds at other places and hang out here – you’ll be glad you did.

Best meatball sub in Portland. Great pizza and always friendly service. We usually get a sub and salad to take home with us just in case. Decent beer selection. Oh, and old school arcade games and TVs always playing local sports.

Just called for a delivery and was denied, Saturday at 8:30! Why advertise if it isn’t true?

We stopped here our first night in town and had a great meal. The owner gave us a warm welcome, and the pizza was the best we’d had in a long while. Wife and I split a medium and it was plenty for us. Toppings and crust were perfect! Best spot for pizza in Roseway.

My family and I were in the area after visiting the Grotto Festival of Lights so went in tonight to get some dinner and use a certificate we had purchased some time ago. When we were seated we let the lady know about our certificate(good for $ 10 off of a purchase of $ 20 or more, which we had paid a couple bucks for). She then said, «No I don’t honor those, and then asked if we were staying or going. When I pointed out that the certificate said no expiration date, she said I don’t care» and started walking away. Extremely rude, she could have handled it very differently. First of all, at least honor the program that you decided to do, especially when potential customers had to pay money to participate. Secondly, even if you’ve decided not to honor a program that you agreed to do, at least be polite to potential customers and apologize that you’re not honoring your own promotion instead of making customers feel like they’re doing something wrong for coming into your restaurant expecting you to honor a promotion that was supposed to bring them in. No thanks, I’m sure we can find a place where we won’t get treated so poorly. Not a promotion you want to continue? Fine, but don’t take it out on us!

Aside from the brick oven pizza being delicious, the people working there(think they might have been the owners) were so friendly and attentive. They were down to earth and made us feel at home. One of my favorite food stops in Portland.

This place is amazing. We tried it on an absolute lark and I am so glad we did! The décor was inviting and the inside is nice and clean. We sat ourselves and had our pick of some comfy booths. I had the margherita pizza and my friend had a pepperoni and cheese. Mine was excellent, with juicy tomatoes, a little oil, and fresh basil. My only complaint was that it was a tad saucy for me, but it’s hard to say that because their tomato sauce is so flavorful. My friend’s pepperoni was just perfect. I’ve never had such flavorful pepperoni. I’m usually not a fan but that pizza was absolutely packed with flavor. The service was excellent, and the prices were great for what you get, especially compared to your other options in town. OH and there’s a Ms. Pac Man machine… you can’t miss that!

Great place and up to the challenge: double blindfolded taste test of slices from Otto’s Pizza(which is next door) and Brick House back to back, mano a mano, crust to crust all the way to the cheese!

I thought the pizza was great, good ingredients. I liked the crust, the salami was fantastic, house made onion rings and great service.

What a conundrum in terms of writing a review and assigning stars. Brick House Pizzeria serves mostly pizza but also features pasta dishes and typical accompaniments such as salads, desserts, and drinks. The pizzeria is located on Sandy Blvd., about halfway between the Hollywood district and the Grotto. I know this part of Portland has a more specific neighborhood name but it escapes me. The service is top notch. They are extremely hospitable, it seems to have its share of regulars(which is a good sign), and everyone in the place seems to be in a good mood. I’m going to say 4.5 stars for their service. The food ordered was good. However, I felt that each of the items was just a tad overpriced and that manifested itself on the final tab. I’d be willing to go back to try something like a simple pepperoni and mushroom pizza. However, Brick House probably would not end up on my roster of Italian restaurants and pizzerias that I might frequent on a rotating basis. The location is easy to find, as is parking, and the interior is cozy and offers up a decent dose of charm. Because it is on a corner, there are a good number of booths with windows. The table seating is thus in the middle of the restaurant. Because of weighing the food over the service, as should be the case, I’d say that it is indeed good, as in «A-OK,» but not enough so to make me a fan.

So good! Stopped here on a road trip to Seattle and was pleasantly surprised. The place was dead but the service was awesome and the pizza very good. Thin and crispy just the way I like it :)

Good pizza and very nice inside too! I got the meat lovers. I think they all come with a basic thin crust. Also had cheese sticks, they were good. They boxed up our left over pizza for us too which was nice. Oh ya, don’t wana leave out any details, i also had a garden salad it was tasty with cucumbers and tomatoes :)

Terrific wood oven pizza, artisan chef, congenial staff! Virtually all ingredients are locally sourced and top notch. My buddies tasted two pizzas and both we’re magnificent. And judging by the crowds on a Tuesday night, this place is doing everything right!

My favorite neighborhood pizzeria! The pizza is superb. Whether you are ordering to-go or eating in, the pizza has always been super tasty and satisfying. The dough in the pizza has just the right amount of thinness: not too thick where it’s like eating bread, but thin enough where you can still taste the ingredients. Their pizzas have the perfect proportion of sauce to dough to toppings. Brick House also makes some of the best onion rings I have ever had. When ordering, pizza is done in usually 20 – 25 minutes. When eating in, the time for the pizza is about the same — it usually depends on how busy they are when you’re in there. Service is super friendly and cordial. They treat every new customer here like they are family, making this a neighborhood staple. The owners seem to know everyone who comes in and makes me feel very welcome. If you’re looking for homely place to enjoy one the best pies in Portland, this is definitely the place to check out.

Saturday night, they didn’t have ice tea, or lemonade, or basil! We wanted to try the margerita pizza, and the owner said, «oh, we dont have basil, is that ok?» Well the only friking good thing about the margerita is the basil! She couldnt have the great idea to send somebody else across the street to Safeway to get some ingredients? Anyways, new brick pizzeria is opening in the same street in a couple of days,(OTTO) so we won’t be back.

In looking for a new pizza place in our area I used the Unilocal app to find a close place and Brick House came up. So far we have gone twice and I have to say they are worth it. The dough is thin and cooked just right(I even preferred it over Apizza Scholls… I know, right??). This is a family owned establishment. A word of caution… they serve only beer and wine but there is a bar next door(owned by the same family). I waited for my pizza and was told it was ready by the owner which was a big plus.

Came for dinner. A fairly cute place. Not quite as clean as I like and men’s room is a little sad. First customers of the day and restroom hadn’t been cleaned or restocked Had 2 gluten free pizza the meat combo and the veggie. There were pretty good but spendy. $ 17.25 for a 10 inch gluten free. Way more than Bellagio or Mississippi Pizza. 2 small pizzas and 1 wine was $ 40. Too much.
