Kind of a grimy little place but the food and service are great! We got the 12 inch general pizza which was very flavor and a good size for 2 people. The pizza was thin sort of like NY style but the crust was amazing. the right amount of fluff and flavor. Small beer selection but still worth a try! They offer gluten free and began cheese.

Blind Onion’s pizza is good. Not great. Good. Not NY style like I normally go for, but still a solid slice. I actually really like their crust. Kind of sweet. I am writing this review because of the service we got the last time we were there. I ordered a large pie over the phone only to get there to see they made us a medium. They charged us for a large, but asked if we could stay a bit longer while they made good on what our order was supposed to be. We stayed. I was in a bit of a time crunch and we didn’t know what the outcome would be, but we stayed. They ended up giving us both pies and only charged us for the one. Good times.

If you haven’t eaten here, you’re wrong. Plain and simple. The dough here is amazing. I’ve eaten here many, many times, and I’ve yet to be let down.

This is the kind of place I look for when I’m traveling. The pizza was great. Perfect beer to match. Cannot beat the price for the quality. Décor was«cool». Walking thru the door made me smile. And staff was totally welcoming and laid back. When I’m in town and have the time I won’t miss coming and hanging out.

So. This tiny little pizza joint doesn’t deliver. They have a strange, low-ceilinged location with three seats at the«bar,» a few tables, and a tiny room with a few video power machines. There’s a couple tables outside on the sidewalk on Broadway near the I-84 on ramp, a couple medium-screens for sports, and the best damn pizza in Portland. No joke. The yeast risen dough for the crust is slightly sweet and thin and wonderful, the sauce is excellent, and the toppings are fresh and delicious. «The General» is my favorite pie. Don’t tell anyone how effing good this place is. I don’t want it to get too crowded.

I love their chewy, doughy crust. Very flavorful pizzas. For vegan pizza, I just get a veggie pizza with no cheese. The entire pie comes covered with toppings!

Some of the best pizza in Portland. Their crust is to die for! The mess up our order sometimes but they always are really friendly about it and take it off the bill. Salad is pretty good as well! Also defiantly try the garlic knots

My favorite pizza in Portland, Oregon and that is saying a lot. How can you do better than actual pretzel dough? Well, you cannot. Especially when it is fresh out of the oven and so buttery and their sauce is always so tangy fresh, thick, and bursting with flavor and that cheese is so perfect. This is the only place where I can’t stop ordering a cheese pizza because it’s so damn perfect that toppings just taint the perfection. Add in a nice Greek Chop salad, a beer, and a game of Scrabble in Blind Onion’s cozy little space and you have a neat little hideaway. BTW, this is also the best gluten-free pizza in Portland. Lonesome’s is alright, too, but Blind Onion is far superior.

God this place is amazing. I love the crust, the sauce. So good. The interior is not fancy at all but the pizza is awesome. We brought a baby and it was fine. They have Trivial Pursuit on the tables so it was fun to have it out with my husband while we waited.

Favorite, tiny, Portland pizza joint. Buttery crust that you could eat plain. Consistent good service. Ice cold micro’s. Game room. Just go! You won’t be disappointed.

This is a favorite of my oldest daughter; she loves the cheese pizza. It is a good alternative when you want just good pizza and are not looking to be adventurous or edgy. It is a bit old fashioned, but that is part of its charm. It is a good neighborhood location.

Great pizza. Just stop misspelling names on the box. You actually did burn my pizza once then offered me a beer for the wait, nice move. Then it only took five mins to ten to make another one? So maybe instead of saying it will be 25 mins, you can just ask when the customer is going to be there to pick up? I mean, why should I wait if I live seven blocks away? Just say, «hey it’ll be ready in ten.» The pizza is good though… thus 3 stars.

I have been in love with The Blind Onion my entire life. Tonight got off to a rocky start but then I realized why I loved this little pizza pub: The people that work there are regular joe’s. A small group of us walked in at about 9:45 tonight. I was a bit taken back when I asked the bartender the different between the two ciders they offered and his response was, «they’re cider.» As if there wouldn’t be a difference in taste/hop. It was then that I realized they’d be closing in about 15 minutes and we had slowed that up. He was antsy and because of it out interaction didn’t get much better. Despite his unpleasant attitude our pizza came out quickly and was, as always, delicious. We enjoyed a few slices and then our meal was abruptly cut short by a server who, «just wanted to go get drunk». I chuckled out that. Realized he was only human and made an attempt to leave as quickly as possible. At the register I ended up getting into a dispute about the check with my sister and I applaud him for not flipping his lid. They closed the door at 9:59. If you ask me, it worked out well for the both of us.

This little pizza parlor is great. As you come through the door you step down into the small establishment which is a small, quaint pub. We came in around 1330 and were seated immediately and ordered at the bar. The guy serving us was really cool and brought out beer out right away. The pizza came out not long after and we were happily munching away as soon as it cooled enough for us to eat. We ordered half ‘Carnivore’ and half ‘Generals’ and it was awesome. The toppings are applied evenly and in an acceptable amount and the crust is delicious. Crunchy yet chewy! I highly recommend this establishment!

When family comes to town they always want to have pizza from Blind Onion. The Chicken Parmesan is a favorite. Great crust and tasty toppings. We normally just get take out so dont know much about the inside. It is our favorite pizza place we have found in Portland.

We only recently discovered this pizza joint after moving nearby a few months ago but have already hit it a handful of times. The pizza crust is amazing. Thicker than your average crust but not quite as overwhelming as deep dish — chewy and very satisfying for any carb lover. Because of the thicker crust, it is filling at a smaller size compared to your average pizza. We’ve done their set combos(liked the chicken parm pizza in particular) and also just crafted our own(which gets a little pricey once you start tossing toppings); both have been great options. The atmosphere is sparse but fine. Takeout has worked smoothly as well.

I had a deadly craving for pizza and was highly recommended to check this place out. I’m so glad I did. I had the hawaiian, and it was easily one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The crust is to die for. I did have to wait a little bit for the pizza, but it was beyond worth it. You must eat here, or you will hate yourself later.

Best gluten free pizza in Portland. No competition. We live close by and come every few months for a pizza. It’s a totally funky place, the kind that used to be everywhere in Portland back in the day. These guys stay weird and stay relevant because the pizza is just wicked. Not trendy, just the best product. Highly recommended.

Blind Onion is an amazing little pizza joint that has a very Portland vibe. It has quickly become my favorite pizza place. They have a wide variety of hot sauces to please the palate, and Trivial Pursuit to keep you entertained while you wait for your pizza. Having Double Mountain’s IRA on tap is also a nice incentive to go early to pick up your pizza. If you decide to go with one of their house pizzas, some are better than others. General’s is awesome, and the peppers really add good flavor. The Blind Hawaiian isn’t too far removed from a standard Hawaiian, but I love the sweet and the salt together. Speaking of salt… the Carnivore is the one pizza I’ve had at Blind Onion that I didn’t love. Each bite was so salty that it was almost painful.

This is our local pizza dive bar. A true dive with cheap drinks, a hard working waiter/waitress, and amazing pizzas. The daily special is a great deal and does not disappoint. Amazing crust, great toppings, and our go-to place for a group dinner out and when I want a change from my love of wood-fired pizzas.

Again we had high hopes for a top notch pizza. This place looks just like the dives we used to get pizza at in our college years back in Illinois. In other words a dive. But its a good feelin’ dive. And I think eating there would be fun. We ordered a sausage, tricolor pepppers, onion, and garlic pizza as take out. Only took 20 min. Friendly staff. But the pizza was just meh… Portlanders just don’t know how to make a great pizza. The dough on this pizza was good, I will give it that. But the sausage should have been spicier. Veggies tasted fresh and that was good. I think the fail is on the sauce. We got Fred’s red sauce. Its the only tomato based sauce they offer. And they did not use enough of it and it was not spicy enough. So we probably will not come back.

This place is pretty good. I moved here from New York and really miss good pizza. This isn’t amazing, but for Portland, it’s probably the best I’ve had. I had higher hopes for the crust, but the sauce, cheese and toppings were all great. The crust kinda just tasted like nothing. I got a small pizza with linguica pepperoni and broccoli. Usually a small pizza is about 10″, theirs is 8. It’s real small. But if you’re the only one eating it, it’s more than enough. For 10 bucks, a small 3 topping pizza is legit! There was a fair amount of grease but that could be because of the toppings I had. Staff was nice and seemed to be on top of things, definitely will come back.

Best pizza in the area! There are probably 5 pizza joints I pass on my drive to Blind Onion. It’s worth the ten-minute drive from my house because I’m sick of these small«artisanal» pizza joints popping up that make pizzas with barely any sauce or toppings for premium prices. Blind Onion pizzas are creative, full of flavor and are free of any gimmicks. It’s just a good pan pizza.

By far one of the best pizzas I have ever had! It is all because of the dough. I don’t know what they do that makes it so special, but I could eat that alone and be happy. Best pizza dough ever!!! I had their glorified garlic breadsticks and it was amazing. A little too garlicky for some of my friends, but I loved it. We came here on a girls night out and loved the little hole in the wall feel. Service was excellent and The General’s Pizza was to die for! I will go back again and again it was just that good.

Amazingly Delicious Pretzel dough Pizza! The place is located on a busy street, it’s on NE Broadway, parallel to I-84. Must park on the street. It’s a small pub with low ceilings, group tables, video lottery room, clean bathrooms, Portland history on the walls. I wish I lived in the neighborhood and walk there. It’s a good hang out place. It had outside sitting for the warmer months. You can watch sports, play a game on your table, and eat great food! We love the Garlic Chips and our own creation pizza of Linguisa & pineapple. All workers are friendly.
